    As you walk back through the light for the second time, Vash's arm starts to burn, his clothing where the light touched gone, and his arm sizzles as he removes it from the light.

    Huffing at the pain of the burn, vash pauses a moment. Pedivere sees this action happen and quickly steps back from the light before any damage is caused.

    Dangit! Isn't it the darkness we're supposed to have problems with. Theres even a friggin riddle for it. Light is right... Dim is grim. Everyone knows this, even kids. What the hell is going on in this place. Checking to make sure his equipment is still fine, he finishes checking the door and then proceeds threw to the next area.

    Bishop calmly watches the two move out and notices the odd reaction with light. Picking the other option of the two, he sticks to the shadows and moves forward avoiding the light at all costs.

    You ok, Vash? The Paladin commented after the rogue was zapped by the light. I agree about this place, it's not right. This is not the architecture one would create for a temple. Randomly turning corridors, small rooms, it doesn't make sense. I've spent a lot of time in temples, and not just ones to Iomedae. Temples are places of worship, places of sanctuary. This is, or was, a temple for the Shade Wolves. Tell me, how would they come down here? What would they worship down here? No, this is a temple in name only.

    The Paladin moved up behind the rogue. Let me check that wound. There's been enough disease and infection down here, let us not take for granted that you have merely been burned. I would like to know for certain, one way or the other.

    As you continue on through the door, a short hallway leads to the largest room you have seen yet in the temple, a giant stairwell sits in the center of the room, which is lit by 2 torches, 2 people hang above the stairway by chains stripped to the their clothes torn and shreded. The stairway leads far down, to the point that you can't see the bottom.

    They seem to be alive, and the heal check showed nothing but a burn. they detect as neutral.

    Pedivere whistled under his breath. They are alive. Not evil. We need to get them down as soon as possible.

    The chains lead up to the still rather low ceiling where they go through a loop (Steel), the loop appears to be bolted into the ceiling.

    Cael inhales sharply, eyes opening. They'd come for her again, it hurt all over. She couldn't think straight, everything was pain. She managed to look around the room. A giant of a man stood in front of her, there was never anybody in here unless they wanted to bring more pain. She tried to scream, but all she could manage was a barely audible whisper.

    "Please... no, don't..."

    She closed her eyes tight and turned her head as far away as she could, tears already running down her face at the thought of the terrors to come.

    "I can't... I don't..."

    The word had some meaning, Cael couldn't place it. It couldn't be real, there wasn't an escape. Sometimes they did this, told her she could be free, but they kept hurting her anyway.

    He said "hurt you"

    Cael started panicking again, trying to push herself away from the man in front of her. As weak as she was, she barely moved where she was hanging.

    While Pedivere works on the chain situation, Vash will circle the room and checking to ensure it's clear. If he finds the mount point for the end of the chain, he will lash a rope to it, and then release if from the mount and lower the two to where Pedivere can reach them.

    Well this is sure odd... Who would have thought some one would be alive down here not to mention strung up, though this one seems like to be off their rocker. Bishop looks at the other then shrugs "Pedi, grab on to here an hold on." Bishop begins whistling as he places the charge and ammo in his gun, he aims at the chain just above the panicking woman and fires his gun.

    bishops bullet hits and aside the explosion from the gun a loud metallic sound feels the room for a few moments before fading, theres a dent in the chains but no break.

    The sound of a gun shot stunned Cael, her hoarse protests falling silent as her mind processed the noise. Had she been shot? Was this to be the last few moments of her pain?

    She'd been begging for a release since they'd started. First it had been for a release from her chains, then for a release from her pain. Now, she desired only the release of death.

    She cast about, her vision blurred by her tears, until her eyes landed on the man holding the smoking gun.

    "Thankyou" She managed to whisper, hoping he'd hear.

    A thought crossed her mind, What will happen to Dyfyn without me here? The thought was calm, she didn't feel worried. Dyfyn always managed to find her if they were apart, she was sure he would come to her again.

    "Will I see him again?"

    A little of the pain eased away as she spoke, the Paladin seemed to be busying himself about her, but it would be for naught. She looked forward to the release of pain. She closed her eyes again, waiting for the release.

    As you try to figure out how to get the 2 prisoners down, you hear a clicking noise from below in the staircase, after a moment, you see 2 small round blue lights that are the eyes of an undead skeleton in armor slowly climbing the stairs, It looks up to you, "Hello, Esteemed Guests, My master welcomes you to our home, now you shall be coming with me, my Master wishes to meet you. Here, we'll even give you these hostages as a sign of good will." The creature puts his fleshless hands together in a clapping motion.

    A hollow noise comes from it, and suddenly the chains holding the 2 people up dissappear. he starts down the stairs again making a motion with his hand to follow him.

    Pedivere is torn between attacking the abomination and caring for the sick and injured. It only takes a moment, but his compassion wins out. The undead monstrosity can wait. Quickly, he cradled the woman and laid her down gently. The half-orc seemed more robust both mentally and physically at the present. Quickly, he scanned the woman for sign of injury, illness and disease.

    It's ok. You are safe. I am a Paladin of Iomedae. I will protect you.

    As the chains around her wrists vanished, Cael fell to the floor, her legs unable to support her weight after being unused for so long buckled under her. She felt herself get caught, heard the Paladin telling her she was safe.

    Safe. A faint smile crossed her face for the first time in a long while, I'm safe, it's over

    The thought gave her strength. Tentatively, she pushed herself into a squatting position. It took a few moment before she was confident that she could then stand. Straightening up, she took the first steps she'd taken unaided for several days. The steps were uncertain, and she came close to falling again, but it didn't take long for her to feel able to walk properly once more.

    Remembering her rescuer's, she turned back around to face them. "Thankyou all," her voice still felt so sore, the words barely made it out of her mouth, "Where do I go from here?"
