Actually this power is an immediate interrupt, used on an hit, that reduce the damage taken by 11.
So basicly I could have used it to reduce the attack on Jalil.
AS I said I dont mind if You accept that I use it on Jalil to prevent some damage.
The reasons that I am unsure if you will allow it are :
1 - I didnt call it beforehand or as I saw that she have been hit.
2 - I planned to use it on the next attack myself (if it hit someone )

Using Immediate interrupt in PBP is always a little more complicated. I dont know how you do/rule it shadow_elf in such a case.

You can feel free to use it here, as it doesn't retroactively affect actions taken and involves minimal retcon.

By the way, giving NP extra time to post as I am getting ready to go on vacation tonight and tomorrow. I should be able to update from my cottage; I just won't have time to post until Saturday. Will tell you guys if vacation will affect my posting; worst case scenario, I will be back in ten days or so anyway.

IC post is up. Cannot blame the delay on anything but laziness on my part. In other news, holy hell you guys do a lot of damage. You're practically killing ID2 from the collateral damage of your multiattack powers.

I think part of the fault is mine, as a player. I've really botched her attacks this fight and I've hit more targets than I should have. Never played a caster before in 4e and I think I let my excitement overrode careful reading of her powers. I'll make a better effort in the future.

Running monsters is so much easier; they've typically only got a few things they can do.

These are intelligent beings, and their health is getting low. Please specify when you are doing lethal or nonlethal damage from here on out.
Ummmm.... Amirah sees no value in their lives whatsoever, since they are males and they hurt Figment. @Team: if we want to keep D1 alive, someone needs to talk to Amirah, or she will pummel the dragon into a fine paste.

That said, I would say that killing one is a good way to establish a certain reputation that could protect us and others down the line. We can negotiate with D2 about their misguided actions.

Am I to resolve Medinah's action first, or Kihtsah's? Technically, Medinah had the initiative and neither she nor Alvah went on delay, so hers ought to be done first. Medinah's action will cause both dragons to surrender. However, with the bonus damage from his shiny new amulet factored in, Kihtsah's attack would be just barely lethal, hence my hesitation. I will resolve a cancellation of Kihtsah's attack and post based on Medinah's turn tomorrow afternoon, unless the party prefers otherwise.

I vote for Kitsah having proceeded. Chaos of battle, short time between rounds (6 seconds is all it takes to do a round, so Kitsah and Medinah's actions are virtually simultaneous), delay while ID2 recoils from the threat in its back - it isn't too much of a stretch. It will also allow Amirah to calm down, because, as I said, she'll be wanting ID1's blood, and with that taken care of, she can go back to being somewhat reasonable.

It is actually up to you, but maybe Kitsah still will want to procceed even if the monster surrender too.

I'd like to know if ID2 surrender (if I think it will) before I take my turn (if my turn is still necessary or if you consider combat to have ended.)

Well, from a narrative standpoint I think it works better if they surrender with Kihtsah poised to strike a killing blow (which could be used to factor into Dragon 1's surrender) plus Medinah technically does act first. Still, I don't want to supercede another player either, so I'd like to hear from Reverent-One first.

Medinah does act first, and Kihtsah cares more about retreating. It might not even really matter, since I rolled Kopesh damage dice, not short sword as I said I was using. So for the record, it's (2d6+22)[34] (counting the amulet). Speaking the amulet, I should get the stat changes and property written down so I remember them.

Okay, 34 damage would exactly kill it. However, this dragon has taken at least 6 extra damage it ought not have from one of Jalil's static charges, so exactly is a relative term. I'll leave it up to Reverent whether he wants it dead or not.

Sorry, I meant by my first sentence in that post that I'm fine with going with them surrendering first due to intitiative order, I wasn't quite clear though. I was really just rolling damage to see what it should have been.

Wait for her to come. Not the ideal battlefield, but better than her own choice, if negotiations go south. We'll need to tie them securely and aim them away from us. Besides, I don't think I'd trust them to fly us there.

We also need to choose our spokesperson (Amirah is not it).

Yeah I agree with waiting, and based on stats the negotiator probably should be either Alvah or Jalil.

As for what Medinah's doing, she'll stay where she's at if she can still get her encounter powers back that way (she doesn't need to heal up).

Nope. Going to rule that they unsummon after five minutes if you don't rest, as there's precedent for "end of encounter" being traded for "five minutes" out of battle.

Carrying this over into the OOC, I know how Amirah's overlays work fluffwise, but the insect part of it still comes across, right? And she is quite visibly a sentient swarm of insects, and Ishmail is grumpy and easily offended, so I think the response makes sense.

I am assuming Chambers is cool with waiting for mommy dragon to show up, since he's posted since the idea was put forward. I will post tomorrow night with the follow-up; if someone has something that they want to retcon, that can always be arranged.

It comes across that she thinks on terms of bee eusocial groups, yes, so he probably sent a picture of a large hive-like mountain with female dragons going back and forth from the mountain to collect food for the mom, with the males lounging about doing nothing much. So yes, it does fit, kinda. My point was that even if that was the associated imagery, and brief at that. Tt wasn't part of her words, which apply to far more group creatures than insectoids (lions, for example, off the top of my head).

The words do fit, just making sure we were on the same page.

If we can takea short rest, I'll use my song to give +6 HP per surge you spend.

Also, my majestic words give some TEMP hp to Kitsah (that will disapear at the end fo the short rest (can be usefull if we have to fight in the meantime for some reason).

I agree that we should stay here to meet the mother.
We should spread out a little to not be affected so much by her breath in case she decide to attack. Also, we might want to tie the dragons (if possible).

An other good idea might be to use the forest to tie up the horses and hide/protect a few of us.

I dont mind to be the spokesman here (or let someone do the taking). I also dont mind being in the open relativly alone too, I have many ways of getting into the forest quickly (hurray for teleport).
