Re: Girl Genius XIII: "Gott's Leedle Feesh in Trousers!"
I still think the inconsistency is explained by Klaus getting new information--i.e., Boris's "discovery about the spark slaver wasp. He finds out the new information, decides it's better to capture her and study her than to kill her, and tries to use that (having to capture and not kill Agatha) as a twofer to get Gil to trust him again.
All of this, of course, would have been obviated if Tarvek had just confessed to having the Baron wasped by the spark slaver wasp.

Don't jinx it. Some people on the boards might take up the "four more years" chant, and the Foglios will decide to give both Agatha and Gil Faustus Pudgesnoggle's Very Bad Flu, which will require another sparky procedure to save them all while Pinky makes try 2.0 to take the castle away from Agatha.

I have my own TV show featuring local musicians performing live. YouTube page with full episodes and outtake clips here.
I also have another YouTube page with local live music clips I've filmed on my own.
Then there is my gaming YouTube page with Kerbal Space Program, Minecraft, and others.
Finally, I stream on Twitch, mostly Kerbal Space Program and Minecraft.

I say No to Pokémon references. I support Girl Genius XIV: we're all tools, but there may come better things in the next few pages.

Re: Girl Genius XIII: "Gott's Leedle Feesh in Trousers!"
And I'm thinking the opposite. Gil wasn't conscious when Agatha fought her mother for control and won - at least momentarily - during the sickness arc, but he's seen plenty of other examples of Agatha's determination and will power. He's also seen how much she hates the Other. Except for Klaus' scam that he's been Wasp infected, there has been nothing to increase his fears of Agatha losing to the Other and much to decrease it. Whoever is talking is sounding more like someone who has seen what Agatha can do, but not who she IS. Like Klaus.
And then there is the whole "Gil's been Wasped" thing. Why would Gil not be demanding to know from Agatha if that's true? After all, according to Klaus, she'd have to be part of this conspiracy and know. And there's an even greater problem; namely, if Gil DOES think he's now Agatha's slave, WHY would he go near enough her for her to give him orders? A single command from Agatha would put this whole conversation to an end. Whoever is speaking is acting like Agatha can't control him. That wouldn't apply to either a deluded Gil OR Klaus.
And finally, why all this drama? Gil leaps down beside her, jabs her with his hypo, and carries her off in his ship. Quick, easy, decisive. No need to try to argue with someone so bull-headed, or to use devices to try to capture her. Which is almost certain to fail, given Agatha has the new and improved wand AND der Kestle surely must be back on line. These tactics do not demonstrate the effectiveness we're used to from Gil...

Well, the castle is waking back up! Lets see just how much power it got back.

Not if the "one sentence per page" pace keeps up.
Well, at least it looks like this arc is wrapping up. Mechanisburg has been bombed heavily, and the castle is either going to do something epic or be destroyed. And it has been a pretty fascinating plot arc. Narrative circumstance has put lots of our favorite characters ("Is everyone I know in here?"), and a few new ones, all under the same roof. I'm curious how much of the last four years was written ahead of time and how much evolved from the original script. My FFRP characters. Avatar by Ashen Lilies. I think the whole plot significance of these clowns is to show immediately what the Castle is capable of. Next update they'll be down (or at least overwhelmed by torchmen or the like).

From a guy who could make clanks he could barely fight off... perhaps he is trying to lose, putting on a show for outside observers.
Klaus using Gil after saying Gil was wasped may also be putting on a show, hoping his minions figure out he is lying so they defect to Gil later.Last edited by multilis; 2013-01-02 at 01:12 AM.

Hmmm. All the above don't seem likely, but until I get more info im withholding judgement.
Also Im going to start a "Out of nowhere for non-comedic purposes" counter:

Re: Girl Genius XIII: "Gott's Leedle Feesh in Trousers!"
Perhaps he's putting on a show for his father... he can't do much from his father's containment, but he still has to remain close enough to try and control the situation... putting up a good fight is to get his father to think he's under control, thus allowing him to remain by his side, but free enough to actually do something.
Or perhaps Gil is trying to prove to himself that he's not wasped... Being wasped he should not be able to resist agatha, but her hold over others only comes up when she's angry; without it, her voice is usually not enough... he's got to push her so she will push back; if he can still oppose her then he proves to himself he can't be wasped

Example of getting back Agatha when not thought of as the Other who has gloated to Dad when she wasped him and supposedly has wasped Gil and did not yet defeat a large army with her circus clanks.
So sounds strange to see only a few robots close with no big guns, perhaps there are big guns hiding close by.
...
Baron has brought way more force than needed supposedly to deal with Knights of Jove, etc, and so little force here? (Even at Beetlesburg in beginning of story he brought impressive force)
Now the story is Gil is wasped by Agatha (rather than just in love) so only send these?Last edited by multilis; 2013-01-02 at 02:41 AM.

Re: Girl Genius XIII: "Gott's Leedle Feesh in Trousers!"
Isn't it beginning to be too much of the "pretending to be an antagonist but actually trying to help" plots? I mean, it's the general theory on what's going on with Klaus. Now with Gil too. Unless Klaus orchestrated this one too, but that would just make things way too complicated.

Or Agatha is just that good. Don't forget, she's had lots of training from Zeetha enhancing her natural abilities, and - unfortunately - plenty of experience fighting for her life. I suspect even Zeetha's mom might have a bit of difficulty with her at this point.
My concern is, what is 'Gil' up to while this is going on? These guys may be the distraction while he sets up the real trap...

About the only thing in common between the two creations is that they are small enough to be deployed by hand.
Man this thing was full of outdated stuff.

NOW we're getting serious.
Whoever this is, false Gil or real, they are at great risk of getting a serious hiney kicking from either Agatha or der Kestel...

Maybe Gil will whip out a new weapon! One that stretches through fiction through infinity! Capturing all within its evil grasp without any failure!

Re: Girl Genius XIII: "Gott's Leedle Feesh in Trousers!"
Getting in close is a good idea. It really limits what Der Kastel can do since it could easily hit Agatha. If it is Gil, the only way Agatha will be able to do any real damage is if Gil lets her do it because he does want to hurt her. (Sorry folks Agatha has lerned to fight some, but she is no where near the level Gil has demonstrated when he is seriouse) Gil should have protected himself from the effects of his stick, so that is not an option either.
Why Gil is doing what he is doing is still the big question.

Re: Girl Genius XIII: "Gott's Leedle Feesh in Trousers!"
Yep, definitely getting serious now. Don't forget that they're on a slippery, steep roof.
Gil is only gripping her shoulders, which is a pretty useless hold, but if Agatha tries to fight Gil right now, they could both fall. She might be better off waiting until he gets her on his airship... but I'm sure he's anticipating that.
Interesting that she doesn't seem to be shocked by his betrayal.
