Re: [Nexus] OoC 32
I think it's fine as it is. Making a table for all the Nexus character sounds like a lot of work.

Re: [Nexus] OoC 32
I just realized a possible problem with tables. Because I am smart[citation needed] I've been indexing characters with titles (Dr. Stroffelnberg, Lord Magtok, Captain Jack Hammer etc.) according to their names, not their titles. Because the computer is dumb (at least as dumb as my 'smart' phone which just autocorrected 'computer' to 'cimputed') it will not do the same.
Still worth sticking player names to the end of each bullet point? How many people would find this useful? Assume I am some sort of automaton which does not care about extra work. In fact, I'm slightly looking forward to clicking on all of the links and seeing which ones take me nowhere because some jackass deleted a post and didn't tell me.

Re: [Nexus] OoC 32
Well player names would help differentiate between same named characters.

Re: [Nexus] OoC 32
Sorry Rotting Baron, but I'm really not feeling that encounter. It seems that I made a mistake by sending my Hunters at your monsters - they're supernatural vigilantes, whereas your insectoids are rather sci-fi. Like I said, I'm sorry.

Eh, no big deal. I can certainly see where you're coming from. I'll just put my creatures away for another encounter.

Re: [Nexus] OoC 32
*pokes head in* So...I've been scheming away on a plot idea that got stuck in my head a few days ago.
So just to gauge interest, I'm wondering if anyone would want to send a character on a rescue mission. The twist, that the place the captive is being held in is under the control of Professor Affidavit.
For those unfamiliar with the Prof, he's a mad scientist who controls a network of bizarre metal creatures, his creations as he calls them. They vary from simple workers to heavily armed and armoured models capable of dishing out a lot of pain.
There would be some combat, but not necessarily as much as one might expect. It'd be more focused on stealth, sneaking in to rescue the captive without alerting the Prof and his forces, since he could potentially cut off any means of escape. Since it's a stealth mission it's hardly suitable to be sending in a vast horde of PCs bent on slaughtering everything in sight so I'd only want ideally three or four people.
I would point out that this doesn't require expert super-ninjas capable of rendering themselves invisible from everything, but it certainly isn't suitable for big stompy dudes with huge guns or noisy orks, etc etc. In other words it requires people who know how to be quiet and sneaky, nothing more than that.
Come friday I'll be heading off on holiday for a while and may lose internet access, so there would be a bit of a pause. But anyway, for now I'm just wondering if folks would be interested and what character they'd want to throw at it.Before you criticise someone, walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticise them, you'll be a mile away and you'll have their shoes.

Re: [Nexus] OoC 32
Gnrlshrmp, that sounds like a perfect job for Jit.
Given that the current two are otherwise disposed, I think I'll spawn a third, closer to the middle of his life. Just let me know when and where "recruitment" occurs IC and I'll warp him in nearby.I follow a general rule: better to ask and be told no than not to ask at all.

Re: [Nexus] OoC 32
Hmm... If Rein knew it was the Prof in particular, he would go along. To, uh, 'rescue' the 'victim' from the Prof's labs.

The Cat Burglar isn't exactly altruistic, but if there's any sort of reward he might be up for it.

Hey guys, apologies for the lack of posting the last day or two, but preparing to be a GM has left me creatively and physically drained as of last night. I'll start in the morning, before I'm off to work.

Hey, BR? Just figured I'd mention this as I totally forgot to include it in my last post for the Excelsior battle, but the entire base past the airlock/deathtrap/decom room is under a dimensional lock.

Re: [Nexus] OoC 32
Huh, well that would appear to make four.
There will of course be suitable rewards for those who desire such things, and it will be made clear that Affy is the holding the captive.
With regards to "recruitment", the "recruiter" (no way am I calling him a quest giver! Oh...dammit, just did) would've made quiet queries indirectly requesting suitable people meet him at a location in Outside.
He doesn't want to give the game away to Affidavit so something as direct and obvious as shouting out for help in Trog's isn't suitable.
Assuming that method of recruitment is okay for everyone, I'll start things up in Outside. Before you criticise someone, walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticise them, you'll be a mile away and you'll have their shoes.

Re: [Nexus] OoC 32
Alright, so since I haven't heard any complaints, I'm going to assume folks are fine starting things off in Outside.
Sorry noodle, afraid you were a little too late to join in, I did want to limit this to four characters.
Anyway, I'll be throwing up a post in Outside shortly. Before you criticise someone, walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticise them, you'll be a mile away and you'll have their shoes.

Re: [Nexus] OoC 32
Well, I've finally returned after an inordinately busy week of finals, high school gradation, and moving 2 states away from where I previously resided. Busy, busy, busy! Felicitously enough, the inn in which I'm staying for the next 6-8 weeks provides complimentary high-speed internet, so I shall, according to my tentative plans, be posting for stuff later on tonight! As far as I am aware, I should be posting for: CURATOR, AMEN, the theater plot in Inside, the Temples of Dalachrech and the Beachside scene tonight.
Also, happy summer everyone!

Re: [Nexus] OoC 32
I'll poke Chaotic Bob to post next time I see him Murkus, and if he doesn't post within the day I'll post for Dio. Sorry for the delay.
Julie, everyone's nth favorite succubus, by Gulaghar.
An amazing Misha, Mimi, and Riss painting done by Ofride.
For anyone in plots run by me, know that I always tailor solutions to those in the plot. The answer may not be obvious, but it's there, and doable by the displayed abilities of the present characters. If you need help or hints, I'll try to be available to provide them.
