Who's gonna know? By the time the camp figures out they didn't die in the bottom of the ravine they'll be long gone.
On the other hand, they're goblins. Mean, opportunistic little bastards are the rule, not the exception, and it's reasonable to assume that even these prisoners hold some reverence for the White Terror.

I, on the other hand, am constantly reminded that Cerberus Syndrome is not always a good thing for a comic. Which is a shame, because I'd like that particular occurrence to date in other comics, but between some of Thunt's less-than-professional behaviors and the current evolution of the plot I'm just slowly losing interest.

I don't think Cerberus Syndrome applies here. It's been a gory, dramatic story ever since Minmax attacked the goblin warcamp. Yeah, it's a pretty serious storyline right now, but I think all the torture at Brassmoon was a hell of a lot darker.

It seems pretty stable on the comedy-to-drama ratio throughout the comic, is what I'm saying. It seems odd to call it Cerberus Syndrome when the drama started after the first, what, twenty pages?

I think this really captures what goblins are about to be honest. Goblins are stupid, stupid survivalist's who don't put a heck of a lot of thought into anything, or at least not as much as they think they do.

There is a reason goblins aren't a top player even in the world of monsterous types. They aren't as smart as Kobolds, as strong as Orcs, as vicious as Gnolls, or as defensive as lizardfolk. They are the bottom rung for a REASON.

The Viper clan is supposed to be a big deal in the goblin world, and their idea of acting smart is to kill their entire labor force with a very basic trap. This is a very good example of showing and not telling.

Remember: the only native spellcasters Goblins have are divine spellcasters, who use Wisdom for their spells - and if whatever template Duv has has spell-like abilities, they likely run off Charisma. There's absolutely no reason for a Goblin to ever put many points in Intelligence.

Seems like the most goblins take the stupid evil alignment in character creation. A lot of the other characters we have seen don't do much better though (and sometimes a lot worse ).

I would agree. The GAP's clan not fitting the stereotype is, in my opinion, natural selection in action. They are a fallen clan, meaning they have suffered heavy loss from adventurers, weaning out the really stupid, bold (same thing) and needlessly evil ones. The Viper clan is an example of a strong clan, what you get before said selection happen - although Biscuit and the Switchbeast are probably going to make up for this lack.

Only yesterday have I discovered the awesomeness that is GOBLINS, and today I am a fan, having read the entire archive within 48 hours (unless I missed something in which case please direct me to an additional fix!). Absolutely brilliant comic, right up there with the Giant's own work and Darths and Droids (you can probably tell I have a thing for lovingly deconstructionist roleplay-centric stuff).

The entire wedding would proceed as normal except that any video cameras being used to film it would malfunction and instead of Thunt standing next to Danielle, he'd be standing a hundred feet away in the woods, just watching.

I only see four goblins hitting him currently. Blondie, Red, Olive, and Salmon. Pointy-Ears (aka Spruce Banner cause he looks like the Hulk) and Purple seem to not be engauging.

Look at the bottom left panel. Look at the poles themselves. Five poles in the shot. Fatty, Red, and Olive you can see in the shot holding poles and hitting him. Salmon is in the background, holding the fourth pole and and had hit him before. Pointy's in the background too but hasn't hit him. Purple has the fifth pole, you just cant see him in the shot.
