Merry didn't really know how to react to all this, she didn't quite feel a part of the moment and she didn't know what to do. Miss Yuki had it covered, the getting drinks at least.

So by default, she started to just clean up, wash the pots and pans used, the bowls.

He bowed and Terran saw her out. Leon smiled; well, that went...Amazing. But there was still one left, wasn't there? Ante's little sister.

Merry washes all their used pots and pans, hooray!

Terran comes back in, and takes stock of the kitchen.

"While we perhaps need to give Miss Hani a few more moments to complete her cake, I would personally like to applaude thee for doing so well."

He clapped, though since Terran was so dead-pan, it was hard to tell if he was messing with them.

[Atreli]

Lune walked back to the kitchen floating on a cloud. The house could've gone up in flames at that very moment and she would've cared less.

However she did straighten out when she reached the kitchen.

" Hello girls! Anything I can help with?"

[Lycan 01]

Yuki turns to Terran and deadpans: "Did you know your kitchen is infested with fairies?"

She then turns back to the pixie scout thing and nods. "Deal. You assist me in making the tea, and I will make cookies for you later on."

She then starts to gather the pots and fill them with water to boil, before looking over her shoulder at Lune. "If you wish to assist me, you are welcome to do so." She then begins to make tea.

"I've been a bit busy, but...Yes. They are the most unfortunate little infestations, and this castle is a barely-held-together wreck of supernatural infestations."

Terran nodded grimly. Personally, the fairies creeped him out, actually.

"If Lunch is nearing completion, though, allow me to show those who are free to set the table where the table is."



Meanwhile, with aide of the pixie, Yuki was making fantastic iced tea...Though it still needed ice.

[Atreli]

Lune clapped her hands in delight. " Excellent! If you still need ice I could go and fetch that for you Ms. Yuki."

[Lycan 01]

"That would be appreciated," Yuki nods to Lune. She then looks back over to Terran. "So, what other magical entities lurk within the confines of this estate? Do I need to worry about a chupacabra hiding behind the shower curtain?" she deadpans.

[Atreli]

Lune nods with a smile and dashes off to get ice.

[Deme]

"Well, besides the skeleton...There's nothing that particularly comes to mind, but there art many things lurking in unexplored passages, and they might be inclined to move in. And there is that insufferable cat."

Mozart came up and draped his arms over Terran's shoulders, to prove a point.


Under the cool larder are more passageways -- a maze of twisty passages, all alike, in the cool stone. Roll of your choice to navigate.

Anyway, if that was done...

Terran brushed off the cat-man.

"Shall those who wish to go prepare the dining hall steo this way?"

He opened the side door to the dining hall.

[Atreli]

Using some spare parchment she had tucked in her uniform, she begins to map out the maze.

If I can solve it maybe I can get out of here quickly and get back to the kitchen. She thought to herself.

Lune walked the twisting and turning paths, each time making the map just a little bit bigger.

I wonder if I'm almost out or at least getting somewhere...

[Deme]

She eventually actually reaches her objective, the ice pits! It conveniently has a bucket full of chipped-up ice for ice cubes in the center.
...Why Terran has maintained these with his own sweat and toil is anyone's question.

[Trobby]

"...Well, then, Terran, I suppose we shall adjourn to the dining hall, so that we might prepare the table for lunch?" Ante suggests, since she currently has nothing else to do.

[Benson]

Merry, content with the dishes and their cleanliness, returned to the others, waiting for instruction.

[Deme]

Terran's eyepatch twitched slightly, hinting at the very frustrated muscles beneath, no longer caring that he had no eye left to twitch. He was not used to all this fuss...It had been waaaaay too long. Also, he was dealing with cat-men and drunken maids and waiting for Hani and it was building a bit.

"That is why the door to the dining hall is being held open, yes, if thou'dst care to step through at any time."

He added, just a bit snarkily, as he motioned to the room on the other side.

[Trobby]

"Ah, of course of course!" Ante suddenly remembers her place, and hurries through the door, not wanting to look like a slouch in front of the Head Butler.

She surveys the dining hall, and attempts to locate plates and cutlery for lunch.

[Deme]

The table is old but solid, and made for more people than the mansion has seen for centuries. The room is somewhat sparse besides this, though it's got some bowls for centerpiece objects and candlesticks that may have been Terran's additions, and some antiques on shelves that looked nice.

Ante finds the plates in a glass-fronted china cabinet. Many of the dishes inside were relatively new. The cabinet had drawers that looked like they might contain cutlery and perhaps a tablecloth.

"Worry not; I give my troth that it is a real cabinet."

[Trobby]

"The last furniture I trusted nearly tore my skirt off." Ante said with a wry grin. "So I sincerely hope you're right."

Though she is humored by this, she is particularly careful in opening and setting out the plates and cutlery, attempting as best she can to set it properly.

Feh, Merry doesn't need to remember the potato salad at this exact moment. Moving on. She went on to assist Ante, the set up couldn't be any less different than the hellish macabre banquets sometimes hosted in Hell. Devils have their hobbies.

She figured helping might make up for her behavior early and getting that stern talk from the maid.

[Atreli]

Lune grabbed the bucket and leaned down to grab the ice. All the while imagining what the other maids were up to right at this moment.

[Lycan 01]

Yuki, assumably, has been left alone in the kitchen. She idly continues to stir the tea, pour it into pitchers, and add varying amounts of sugar. However, she can't really take it out to the table yet until she has ice. But it's okay, she's in no rush.

Yuki's elf ears give a slight twitch. Something isn't right. The assassin can't help but feel... like she's being watched.

[Deme]

In the Dining Hall

"Excuse-moi, Monsieur and Mademoiselles..."

A little voice said. Terran groaned at the realization that it was a small mouse. Holding a little beret between his paws and fretting as he stood in the china cabinet.

"But I am Pierre, of ze league of ze white paw...And would like to ask of zee a favour."

Nothing bad happens to Lune on the way back, and she arrives unaccosted.

In the Kitchen, Post Lune's Arrival

Yuki's right to be paranoid, as a small bat came flapping by, and landed to prostrate himself at her feet.

"Sup, dude? I, like, totally grovel for your gnarly mercy and kindness, oh baker-of-cookies-dudes."

[Lycan 01]

In the kitchen

Yuki sighs. "What is it?" she asks with a deadpan expression, while sounding slightly weary. "I have somewhere I need to be soon."

[Trobby]

Ante looks down at the little mouse, and without missing a beat, she says to it,

"Une faveur? Quelle sorte de faveur fait un petite souris comme vous voulez à partir d'une femme comme moi?"

[Benson]

Merry kinda just stared in surprise. There were just some things Hell didn't prepare her for.

[Deme]

"Like...Duuude. We heard about how you righteously solved the little turf war of those pixies, and so my people, like, wanted help with our endless conflict. It's harshing our mellow, man!"

Explained the bat, using a claw to momentarily lift the shaggy blond hair from over his eyes.

"Mademoiselle.... Our people, we are ze mice. We live in a fozaken tower. We know no languagez but our own.

The mouse said, twisting his beret.

"Hm. So this is where my cheeseplate stocks go." Terran said without much surprise. "...I think a wave of chaos will soon descend...If I am to excort thy sister to His Highness, I best do so now."

And so he went into the kitchen and interrupted Hani with her cake.

"Miss, art thou prepared to meet thy employer?"

[Trobby]

"Not with phrases like madmoiselle and monsieur, you're not." Ante sighs. "And here I thought I could finally put all that useless knowledge of every language in the world to good use."

She bends her knees down to eye level with the mouse.

"Listen, little not-french mouse, I'm sure your cause is very good and just, but we have very little time to discuss it right now. We're a bit behind schedule for getting lunch set up for the Prince, and I sincerely doubt that a mouse can help us with that. Were I not occupied, I might entertain the idea, but as it is, my only suggestion is that, if you can, you should try to avoid my sister. She means no ill regard, but she has a bit of an instinct about tiny rodents, what with being part cat."

[Atreli]

Lune rushed up to Yuki, obviously very pleased with herself.

" Sorry it took me so long Ms. Yuki but I had to solve a maze first before finding it and-"

The sentence died away as her carefree green eyes came to rest on he bat.

" What is that?" You could hear the revulsion in her voice. A little tongue of blue fire materialized in her hand with a minaiture version of the aquatic scorpion was floating around inside it.

[Lycan 01]

"Tis a bat with an accent," Yuki responds factually. "No reason to be alarmed. And thank you for the ice."

She picks up the platter with the tea pitchers and glasses on it, and nods for the bat to fly after her. "Come, tell me of your mellow harshing as I journey to the dining room."

[Deme]

The Dining Hall

"Zese are ze words sacred to my people."

The mouse throws itself onto her hand, grasping it and pleading. He motions to Merry to use her as a defense.

"Please! Even now, our enemies are mustering zeir champion against us! We will be crushed!"

It's almost like I'm keeping these scenes seperate for some nefarious reasons

The bat shook his head. Anyway, Terran had nodded to both of them when he went to fetch Hani.

"Like, no, man! We need to, like, totally stay where they can't hear us, man! We don't want them knowing that we're getting help, too!"


The bat sighed and folded up his wings, shaking his head slowly.

"You see, it's like this, dude. Our people, like, really like one of the old tower rooms, man. It's, like, totally radical up there. But... The mice are, like, totally harshing our mellow by saying they were living there first, dude, and our cieling-hanging ways don't jive with them. But we were there first and, like, need the broken windows to go get our food, dude!"

[Trobby]

"Likely. You are rather small."

Ante didn't mean to be cruel to the tiny thing, but she was harboring in her an irrational fear of tiny people who do not understand that she cannot solve all their problems.

"Look, do you know how to properly place table settings? I'm just sort of winging it myself, so if you happen to know, hop on the table and help us out, and I will listen to your plight. I will listen, that is all I'm offering, take it or leave it."
