    Tales goes up the tree fairly easily growling and snarling, and Tales falls from the tree rather quickly, yelping with a loud thud. The squirrels are all over him.

    How combat is supposed to work.
    Step 1. Roll initiative, and declare what you are doing, and how many actions you are using.

    The squirrels are biting hour-tales and using one action for avoiding. (A note, I will not always announce the enemies actions first.)

    As the Squirrels swarm Hour-Tales, his companions rush to his aid. The vicious little squirrel on his neck sees deep fang coming at him with a dagger, and gets nervous, keeping his eyes on him. His laugh as Deep fang Trips turns instead to a horrible cry as Softpaws comes from his blind spot, and chews him into little pieces.

    Trashcan comes from the side, trying to take out another one, but the squirrel is wily and fast. He dodges out of the way just in the nick of time before biting his over-sized jaw into Hour-Tales. However tales' skin is thick and it barely draws blood before just hanging onto his side for a moment.

    Kicking and flailing about, Hour-Tales tries to grab one of them off him, but the little bugger is just too fast for him. It slips easily out of his reach, Biting down into his arm. Thankfully it is still too thick for it's bite. Meanwhile another Squirrel tears apart his chest, clawing and biting. It's bite is not strong enough, but it's claws are, tearing large gashes into his chest. Finally, the last squirrel attempts to bite him on the tail. However it slips, and finds itself pinned underneath hour tales.

    Hour-Tales takes 1 aggravated damage from squirrel 3, and 2 from squirrel 4. He is on the ground prone still.


    Actions of round 2
    Squirrel 2 is attempting to claw Hour-Tales and then run.
    Squirrel 3 is leaping at Trashcan, trying to bite his face.
    Squirrel 4 has tasted blood and will continue to tear into Hour-Tales with one dodge towards the first to come at him.
    Squirrel 5 is pinned under Hour-tales, and will attempt to escape and then run off.

    I hope that when the book says "Recalculate Init" for wounded characters it means reroll, since I can't find where the health stages add or subtract to stats, if they do at all. (1d10+7)[9]

    Alright, lots of options here. Firstly, consider that if he runs away it will be because he survived a attack from you, since you go first. Secondly, movement is an action. Thirdly, you may change any action but it increases the difficulty to what you do by 1.

    So you may spend two rage points, Attack the squirrel, and then chase after him if he gets away and attack again. If the squirrel dies, you may target another squirrel instead of moving, making the Difficulty 7. You could then use your final attack that was meant for the end of the charge on the same, or a different squirrel for a increase of difficulty. (That may be cumulative, I have to look it up later.)

    If you didn't want to spend a rage point, you could still do all those actions, it would just take penalties to the number of dice you rolled.

    Alternatively, you could just do two actions, and then you would be next to it at the start of next round if it got away,

    Does that make sense?
