Ishmael Mk III

[Monodominant]

"There are two more? Damn this is a real nest! Be on guard Doomguide... its you and me now..." says Ishmael and follows the nymph-skulk hiding first and going invisible.

"Very well... lead us there then. Is there something we should expect?" asks the disembodied voice.

[planswalker]

"These two are mere normal vampires, they do not have the age or supernatural powers the Master had. They may try to flee rather than fight, though. They knew the instant that the Master died."

They lead you to the northeast corner, which is sectioned off by steel walls, floor to ceiling. A single steel door that opens inward allows entry. The door is padlocked and glows with a faint red light.

Ishmael uses his magical aptitude and makes the padlock open for them as he has already used the charge of the ring.

The padlock snicks open effortlessly.

[Monodominant]

Ishmael, still invisible whispers to the Doomguide.

"Go dynamic. They know we are here anyway... might as well use brunt force to chase them down before they escape."

[planswalker]

"Sounds good. I take it there are no traps?"

[Monodominant]

Ishmael grumbles quietly and checks the door for traps.

He shakes his head and quickly speaks to the priest.

"Okay. I... well... I diffused the trap on myself for a few seconds so go right ahead..." he says and opens the door now before the trap resets and zaps him again.

um, sorry it wasn't clear, but it's a continuous effect. There isn't a reset. if you touch it again, it will hurt you again. The "every round" comment was saying that it applies to you every round that you continuously touch it.

Ishmael summons a fiendish ape and has it open the door.

you know, one of these times, some dark ape-god of the underworld is gonna have a reckoning with you for abusing its monkeys.

It screams in pain as it opens the door.

He is lucky I am not draining their souls along with their hit points...

Ishmael moves inside, still invisible and walking silently and looking back to ensure the Doomguide follows.

lol, yeah. That one's just a matter of time, though...

The doomguide does so.

Inside the chamber is lined floor to ceiling along each wall with locked steel drawers. A pair of beautiful female human girls in their late teens are sleeping in the far corner.

[Monodominant]

Ishmael orders the ape to not say a word and close the door behind them. He then approaches the girls, or at least the first one and prepares to strike.

[planswalker]

The ape touches the door and screams in agony as it is unsummoned at the touch. The two sleeping girls don't stir at the noise.

just to be clear, it's unsummoned because touching it dealt it enough damage to bring it below 0 hp, not a specfic unsummoning effect.

[Monodominant]

Ishmael ponders for a moment the possibility that these kids might not be the undead he is looking.

As such he will wait for a few more moments to try and figure out if they are breathing but also to ensure they are not bluffing him. He will then extend the spirit sense he had gained from the demon he is host to see if they feel 'dead' or 'alive' given that different spirits felt differently when he last used this ability.

They seem to be breathing, but your spirit sense says that they taste like sugar mixed with rotting flesh.

[Monodominant]

Assuming he still has the stake he used against the Master Ishmael raises it and plunges it in the chest of the vampire like he did before.

[planswalker]

The one you stab shrieks in pain and quickly fades into a withered corpse, while the second one rouses and says, desperation in her voice, "Wh-what happened? Where is the Master? How will I be safe without the Master?"

[Monodominant]

"Do not worry little one. You will no longer need to fear anything or anyone" responds Ishmael as he attempts to also release the second vampire.

[planswalker]

She jumps straight up... and hangs from the ceiling... "Are- Are you trying to kill me? Why?"

[Monodominant]

"For you have been trapped in an eternal nightmare that will never end. You are doomed to destroy others and harm all you touch and all this with no fault of your own other than the twisted influence of the Master who even himself realised the errors of his ways and wished all his fallen children to be free.

It is only this wake that you will wake up from this horrid dream that plagues you..." speaks the skulk with confidence.

"Bu- But, the Master saved me! He even promised me one day that he would let me kill the priest at the" *shudder* "orphanage."
