Ishmael Mk III

[Monodominant]

"Splendid. I shall alert them and the Duchess." he says and bows.

"Make sure you take good care of the children sister. I shall be watching..." he says with a very serious tone.

"Oh and out of curiosity... what is going on here? What is all this movement and excitement?" he asks her.

[planswalker]

"Some mercenary and a child found an ancient temple under our grounds. The convent got one third of the treasure found within, and we're preparing renovations for the place."

[Monodominant]

"Sounds interesting!" he responds not really interested in this whole ancient temple finding part.

"Well sister. Thank you for the information and good luck..." he says and gives her a sack filled with 20000 gold.

Two more things left to do today and then he could finally rest for a while. Taking precautions, changing his appearance and also his clothes he returns to the Duchess to deliver the now not useful priest.

She takes the priest and gives you at 15,000 gold bounty, "Just because. Do you want to watch as I give him justice?"

[Monodominant]

"Yes, that would be a suitable ending to his chapter..." he says and nods.

"By the way your Excellency, you should know that the Master has been eliminated as have some of his spawn and the Kelemvorites know you are to thank. Furthermore I have made a donation to the Sisters of Salvation on your behalf from part of the treasure found at the Masters lair..."

[planswalker]

"Shrewd of you. Good work."

She leads you back to a hidden chamber where a wooden table with leather straps has been set up. She has her butler help her strap him in. "Get me when he wakes up." She says to him.

[Monodominant]

Ishmael stays in the room and leans back becoming one with the shadows of the room.

He considers the events of the day and everything that has transpired as he waits for the cleric to wake up.

A few minutes later, he rouses and Duchess Hordukka returns.

"Hello there, scumbag. Remember me? You stole my husband and my mind away. Now, you have no family or wife to be deprived of, and you're barely sane as it is, but we'll see how you enjoy losing the rest of it, won't we?" The pain and vindication in her voice are almost tangible.

Ishmael watches with interest wondering how dark his employer can be. He doubts the woman will truly cause intense suffering before ending the life of the scum on the table.

He stays put watching impassionate.

[planswalker]

"Let's see, first of all, there were hallucinations." She pulls out a vial of dull yellow liquid. "This should keep you seeing things for the next day or so."

She pinches his nose until he opens his mouth for a breath and forces the liquid into his mouth. She then forces his jaw shut and he swallows.

"Get me if he starts to rant. I want to hear it when he understands what I lived with for years." She says to her butler as she leaves.

[Monodominant]

Ishmael smiles and waits until after the woman has left.

He then steps out of the shadows considering that since he has a day or so he needs to deal with his other urgent errands.

Before departing though he steps next to the strapped man and gives him a wide smile.

"I guess by now you realise that I lied. It was for a good cause though... the vampire is dead, the orphanage will be freed from the yoke of you sunny fools and your fate is sealed for the crimes you have commited. Overall a good few days work dont you think?" he says and then departs after hearing if the man has any retorts.

"But on the plus side your soul will just suffer instead of being consumed!" he adds.

He heads for the orphanage, one more thing to take care before he can rest easy.

[planswalker]

Whatever drug is in his system, it must be working. "No, not the pudding!" hardly seems an appropriate response to your threats.

When you arrive, the orphanage is locked for the night.

[Monodominant]

Ishmael turns invisible and approaches one of the windows.

After making sure noone is inside that room he uses his cloak and teleports inside trying to remain unseen and quiet.

[planswalker]

In fact, one of the staff is sleeping in that room.

[Monodominant]

Certain of his power and abilities he still ports inside the room, careful though not do so near anything that might make a noise. He is still invisible and using the shadows around him to hide and also tiptoeing.

[planswalker]

Your entrance does not disturb a soul.

[Monodominant]

Ishmael takes care not to disturb anyone or anything in his path as he heads to the chamber of the orphanages administrator.

You arrive there without incident.

[Monodominant]

Ishmael checks to see if there is any sound from inside and also checking for other signs of life like a light or something else. He spends a few minutes for each activity and if he is convinced there is noone inside he teleports inside while still invisible and hidden.

Since you kidnapped him and left him to be tortured to death less than a day ago, no one seems to have come in and assumed his role yet. The place is empty.

Er no.

You got confused possibly. The man I captured was the priest that was meeting with the administrator. Remember the administrator met with that priest in the sewers and I followed the priest afterwards and after capturing was lucky enough to find out it was the one I was hunting...

The administrator is the guy who was apparently torturing the little girls and giving them to the Priest who was then passing them on to the Master...

The administrator is asleep in his bed.

Ishmael makes sure the door is locked and also places a chair behind the door at an angle so noone can interrupt him.

He will then check if he can see where the man keeps his holy symbol, knowing that many of the spells a cleric can use cannot be employed without one.

He is wearing a silver holy symbol around his neck.

[Monodominant]

Ishmael shrugs. Maybe he was overthinking this.

He closes his eyes to refocus and draws his merciful dagger. He takes his time aiming at the mans side to deliver a blow that will paralyse him and then strikes.

"This is unfortunate..." he tells the man as he stabs again and activates the blinding speed bracers for one more blow.

Ishmael removes the holy symbol from him and also searches him and takes away any reagents, weapons etc.

He then ties him and puts the masterwork manacles on him and even blindfolds him.

After he is done with that he slaps the man around for the part he will enjoy the most.

It takes you almost an hour to get him to rouse.
