Experience points for "defeating" the nixie. And yes, you would have gotten more if you hadn't let someone else be brutal for you. And yes, chucking in one of the already dead would have worked fine. Or who could have fought the thing.

I...don't think that Elf ws long for that world. Anything you could hand him to would just have fitted him for a noose.

I do apologise for moving so fast. I'm aware the whole situation came up before many had a decent chance to react.

If she was restricted to the water, we could totally have blasted the thing from range. If she could come out of the water... well, I already used my rage for the day as a level 1 barb. Might have been a little tough. Best just to feed her and any other nixies the stripped bodies.

EDIT: speaking of which... lets dump the rest in there. Doing that now. No evidence.

For the curious, she is a Dryad with 2 Barb levels. Waterbased rather than tree-based, of course. Probably with some of the Dryad SLAs swapped out for the boosted physicals. Because, you know, 9 foot tall monster.

I'm pretty sure she can leave the water but probably can't move terribly far from it. I was going to have her pop out and join the fight by chomping down on the redcloaks.

    But that would have looked...

    "Suddenly-

Gigantic naked women pops out of stream and decapitates Redcloak boss!
His head whistles past Graths ears and concusses a random squirrel!
Gigantic naked women drags rest of him into water and disappears below the surface!
Gigantic naked women sticks head back up. "That'll do me 'till winter, you guys wanna comeback around August? I'll be hungry again by then"!
    PCs go WTF!"

Well, we have a lot of people, including Delphi and Grath. So, might have more than four shifts and/or free spellcasters completely.

Yeah, there's no need for spellcasters to take a shift; Delphi would want a watch anyway, as she's not going to sleep too well knowing that nine foot tall river monsters are real.
I have several presentations tomorrow/today and a case of strep throat. Expect delays, and wish me luck.

Agreed. Bethlen and/or Kresta can help as well, if really necessary. Throw Grath somewhere in the middle, he's not picky, but he might be grumpy when you wake him.

so explain to me how making the spellcaster stay up longer would get his spells back faster? it would seem that if I were to take a shift it would need to be last so I could USE my spells should something happen... all I have left is 1 MM

Typically if you cast a spell within the preceeding 8 hours of praying/memorizing/refreshing, it counts as expended for the next day, and cannot be refreshed. So basically, if you stay up late, it is your last chance to use spells before you rest.

Is Delphi hitting on people? Well, that makes my job easier.

Bethlen and Kresta can certainly join in the watches, if you trust them to do so. They'll probably want to interrogate the Half-Orc unless one of you wants to supervise.

I guess for now anarchy is about right. I personally like it when everyone can command and everyone is free to follow. Although, this places a high responsibility on each would-be commander to distinquish between situations where he knows what he's doing and where he does not.

Well, this being PbP, I guess waiting for any specific person(s) is suboptimal. I'd rather follow any sane command than wait or make people wait for me. Feel free to command, follow and/or overrule any nonsense, I guess sooner or later a pattern would emerge.

I think its gonna come down to who has the most convincing plan just as an example, say we come across a lake of lava we need to cross, someone suggests crossing the rickety wooden bridge that spans it, but someone else says take the extra time to walk around and avoid the possibility of death, who would you listen to? That person would be the leader in that situation

Grath would probably walk around it anyway, regardless of anyone attempting to fly or not.

I think we've done ok to this point with improvising what we do, as long as Marlowe gives us a little lenience with actions we post that are clearly contradictory to the consensus of the group, we should be ok with anarchy.

Also, can we assume that we go on shift now and the orc spills her guts to us? Or do we need to RP all the questioning?

Dardiana can fly alone for as long as she wants at lv6+. So if she uses that and lifts people to the other side, it could work.
