Wrenndel excitedly skips a few paces up the road. He draws an thin wand made of some dark wood. He points at the wolf attacking Rolan and sings "Run away little doggy, run away." A thunderclap bursts just in front of the wolf's face, startling it an causing it to run back to the other side of the bridge.

Rolan manages to make contact with his dagger but he causes barely more then a scratch.
"Rolan, my friend, I suggest you join our armored fellows" calls out Wrenndel with a sly grin.

Wrenndel's singing draws an arc of thunder from the sky that strikes one of the wolves, leaving the smell of burnt fur wafting through the air.

Terrified the beast scampers off leaving itself wide open for Rolan to take a swipe at it with his dagger. His blade hits home but only manages to leave a tiny pinprick wound.

The second gray wolf arches its back and takes slow deliberate steps toward Arthur. After closing the distance it leaps, trying to take a bite out of the paladin's arm.

Arthur raises his shield to fend off the attack however the lupine beast's agile form manages to worms it's way past his defenses. It takes a hearty bite out of his armored hand sending a wave of pain through the holy warrior's body.

As the wolf lands it circles around to gain better position while licking its chops.

    Rolan

That was too close close for comfort, thank you Wrenndel! Rolan shouts to the as he quickly glances at his blade, noting that despite jabbing it into the wolf it hardly had any blood on it at all. Well I carry the stupid thing more for cutting food than for combat... Rolan narrows his eyes at the wolf that Wrenndel thankfully forced back, My mind is my true weapon. Rolan expands his mind, feeling for the orb he carries. As his mind touches the orb, a well of psychic power surges into him which he then, with great force, thrusts into the wolf in an attempt to destroy its very mind. As Rolan attempts to put down the wolf, he begins to back away, attempting to rejoin his companions.

    Arthur

Arthur places the hand of the arm his shield is attached to on his chest and whispers a word familiar to any in the group who have received healing from him in the past. A sound as pure as a bell rings out and his hand shines a gentle silvery white light. The injuries he had received shine as well and when the light fades and the gentle note of the bell no longer rings in the air the injuries are gone. However, it seems his color is a bit brighter and more clear in this dreary weather then it had been earlier.

With confidence he turns his blade against the foe Matilda had deeply wounded, the one that had failed to strike him. He raises his other hand toward the other wolf behind him, the less injured of the two. With a word his hand shines the same silvery white light, though it seems more harsh this time.

Arthur utilizes his divine touch to close up his wounds. His focus then turns to the critically wounded wolf lying in the mud. Gripping his blade with both hands he swiftly drives the weapon into the wolf's back. A low whimper escapes the creature as it dies.

The last of the smaller wolves zigzags across the battlefield, having honed in on easier prey, the gnome.

Watching its quarry successfully fending of its pack mates the larger gray wolf finally wades into the battle. The aggressive maneuver while daring, leaves the beast open to attack by Wrenndel Ringle.

Leaving the diminutive creature to its ally the gray wolf leaps at Eldon, trying to rake the ardent with its sharp claws.

Wrenndel sends one of the wolves along with Matilda and Arthur stepping across planes as he recounts a tale of fey warriors emerging from nowhere to attack intruders in their realm. When he is finished his allies have been teleported next to another snarling foe. The wolf returns battered, beaten, and disoriented from the gnomes attack.

Rolan upset with his previous failure unleashes another mental barrage on his furry adversary. This time his psychic assault finds purchase, weakening the wolf's resolve to continue fighting.

Matilda still a little disoriented from being transported stabs at the nearest wolf to alleviate the problem. She feels much better sticking her blade repeatedly into the wolf's side. The wolf's whines become weaker with each thrust and its barely able to stay upright after the attack.

    Eldon - Human Ardent

Eldon let out a small yelp as he realized he was now surrounded by all three wolves. He considered flailing around wildly with his halberd in a circle to hit all three of the wolves, but quickly dismissed the idea for fear of hitting Arthur and Matilda too. He shrugged his shoulders and brought his halberd down on the wolf that appeared closest to death.

Standard: Energizing strike on grey wolf 1 Attack vs AC - (1d20+6)[25]. A hit does damage - (1d10+4)[14] and Matilda gets 4 temporary hp.

I know how you feel, Dakaran. I'd really like to fire off an augment 2 demoralizing strike (close burst 1), but it hits creatures in the burst instead of enemies.

Eldon hefts his halberd to its full height, then with the precision of an executioner he brings the weapon down in one swift motion, separating the pack leader's head from its body. As he strikes Matilda feels a rush of energy wash over her.

The severed head tumbles through the mud before finally coming to a rest at the foot of its pack mate.

Can Arthur finish off these pesky wolves!?

    Arthur

Arthur looks more then a little sick by the teleportation and doesn't seem to have enjoyed the experience. The almost vibrant color that he seemed to carry from his healing fades as well as he prepares to move. With his shield ready to intercept blows Arthur tries to circle around his foe. When both wolves are beside him he takes his longsword and brings it down upon the weaker of the two.

Unfortunatly between the mud, the hail, the side effects of the teleportation and the attempt to defend himself as he moves, Arthur's powerful swing strikes the ground. He does, however, raise his shield to the creature and say a word of prayer. The symbol on Arthur's shield shines a silvery white light briefly, likely taking the creatures attention.

Watching Arthur carefully maneuver around it the gray wolf recklessly lunges at the paladin.

The beast manages to take a quick swipe at Arthur's leg that barely seems to faze the holy warrior. After its attack the wolf hurriedly hustles off to add its only remaining ally.

I'm going to assume you were trying to hit R3 since you wouldn't have been adjacent to G2 anyway. Also since it hit on the OA it can shift four.

Emboldened by the presence of its partner the smaller wolf rushes at Eldon fangs bared.

The ardent sees the attack coming from a mile away and easily avoids the clumsy offensive.

The little gnome giggles inappropriately at his companions minor discomfort from the teleport. He clears his throat, and with a mocking smile, whispers in an evil sounding voice. "You failllllll" to the bigger wolf.

He then works his way through about 10 feet of slop toward the bridge.

While unable to understand the gnome's snide remark the wolf pins its ears back and holds its head down shamefully.

Unable to respond to Arthur's challenge the gray wolf chooses to focus on Eldon. As it turns away from the paladin a ray of divine light slams into the beast, knocking it to the ground.

It lays in the mud for several minutes before finally pulling itself to its feet. Wrinkling its nose it pounces at the ardent. The beast's fangs dig deeply into Eldon's shoulder sending pain coursing through his body. Satisfied the wolf releases its grip and stalks away to lick its many wounds.
