.... Right I forgot to mention how to get up.
Yes there is a stairway. Its a two minute walk up, the tower is only 5 floors up.

Once the man reaches the top of the tower 3 figures will be seen. They all look like the characters in my Avatar with the middle being Serph, the small one Element and the shadow Rotblau. On the floor is a drawing of runes and lines and words inside a circular shape. They introduce themselves and ask the man his name.

Johannes basically looks like this, minus the immovable hammer, flying, lightning powers and glowy lights on his chest, and plus a greatsword and about a dozen kilograms of muscle mass and testosterone.

"I am JOHANNES FREDERIKSON, son of FREDERIK JOHANNESSON, grandson of JOHANNES FREDERIKSON. I come to KILL THE DEMONS."
No, Johannes, you are the demons.

Serph moves forward into the circle, his body cracking even more at the cracks.

Toby, Rein, and Wenomir appear in a city park next to a middle-aged couple having a picnic.

Wenomir looks around warily. Appearing in the middle of a park is not the definition of "covert".
"Where do we go from here?" He asks.

[Reinholdt]

"Excuse us." Rein cat says to the couple. Didn't mean to interfere with their picnic.

Tony Rescue Plot

The man nods to Rein, then starts talking to Toby in a conversational tone. "The Bishop is currently sequestered in the prison until another execution attempt tomorrow. I just happened to have been given two passes to meet him, due to some distracted clerk's mistake. Once I realized this, I put them in my picnic basket for safe keeping. Oh, and my wife tells me that the guards at South entrance to the Grand Temple aren't checking visas today. Any foreigner could just walk in and threaten the most powerful Cardinals in the College."

Toby just smirks at Wenomir as he replies to his asset. Considering how loudly the public is calling for the Bishop's release, the Cardinals who keep voting for his execution have surely hired personal bodyguards. So you shouldn't be too bored, Wenomir.

[Morty]

"I'll try to keep the bodycount to a minimum," Wenomir says dryly. "I'll pay some of the holy men a visit, then. I do care so much for the well-being of my soul."

[Reinholdt]

Reinholdt doesn't say anything, just swishes his tail. Least Wenomir's guaranteed to have got a soul.

The man and his wife get to their feet and walk off, leaving the picnic basket behind. Toby picks it up and takes a look. All right. Two passes to see Tony, in case you guys want to meet up with him before everything goes down. A map to the Grand Temple that shows the location of the three most influential Cardinals who are voting against Tony. A few places where I can find certain young firebrands to stir up even more trouble. And I have a way for Reinholdt to meet Nomos. Looks like we're all set.

"I do like it to have a clear-cut plan of action," Wenomir says with some satisfaction. He's not good at planning, but he is very good at applying violence. "We shouldn't waste any time, then."

[Reinholdt]

"I'd like to talk to Tony first, but don't let that hold up either of you." Reinholdt replies.

[Why Operation Trinity Force? ]

Toby hands the demonhunter a prison pass and the map that points him to the giant temple on top of the tall hill in the exact center of the city. Can't miss it. All other relevant information he should need is written on the backside of the map. He gives the sniper kitty the other prison pass and a glass bauble shaped like a balanced scale. Break that to appear in a neutral demiplane to speak with an avatar of the God. Break it again to leave.

"Good luck to you both, then. Let's hope nothing goes horribly wrong." Silly Wenomir. Something always goes horribly wrong.

After Wenomir leaves the druid and the cat, he heads for the temple. Since he doesn't really need the map to find it, he reads the information on the back instead.

It's a way better name than 'generic name rescue plot', trinity is considered by many to have symbolism related to the divine, and it makes me think of the Triforce, in which Reinholdt, Tobias, and Wenomir are, in no particular order, the Triforce of Courage, Wisdom, and Power.

Reinholdt takes the bauble and shifts into human form to both pocket it and better deal with the whole jail pass thing. Probably best not to have a vampire cat thing try.

"Thank you. You too." Reinholdt says before turning to head to the prison.

The notes on the back of Wenomir's map will guide him to the personal offices of Cardinals Gaius Suetonius Paulinus, Quintus Petillius Cerialis, and Gnaeus Julius Agricola. So long as he enters the temple by the south entrance, he won't be asked for the visa he doesn't have.


Rein arrives at the prison and, when he presents his pass, will be escorted into a room that more closely resembles a nice hotel room than a jail cell. But the door is heavily locked, the windows are securely barred, their are armed guards in the hallway, and magic runes on the walls. Tony is sitting at a desk, writing, but looks up in curiosity as Rein is shown in.

"Hello Tony. How are you doing?" Reinholdt asks, taking a seat if there's one available.

Wenomir walks into the temple through the south entrance. Sloppy, really sloppy. An armed man can just waltz in? Either some people aren't doing their jobs or someone made sure they aren't. He wouldn't put it past Tobias to bribe the guards, but why wouldn't he tell his allies? Oh well.

He heads for the office belonging to Gaius Suetonius Paulinus first. The names of the priests remind him of the people he read about in Julius Caesar's journals. Strange, that.

Tony blinks in surprise. Reinholdt. I am fine... but... why are you here?


As a matter of fact, the normal looking couple who just happened to come across prison passes and knew that the guards weren't checking visas at this entrance are both spies working for Toby. That's why it took him so long to prepare for this mission. In any event, the halls in this temple are patrolled by paladins with halberds who watch the demonhunter.

Suetonius (what? Nooo, I didn't just take the names of Roman governors of Britain. Just how uncreative do you think I am? ) is a balding, over weight man who stares at Wenomir with wide, terrified eyes. The Cardinal's secretary, on the other hand, is a cold woman who stares cautiously at Wenomir when he enters the office.

"Am I so bad at socializing that I'm not allowed to visit someone?" Reinholdt asks. He wouldn't be surprised if the answer was yes.

"As usual, my every action is dictated by a variety of motivations. I see you're not rotting away in squalor. Or did they set up the nice place cause you have visitors?"

No, of course not. I was just surprised to see you here, of all places. The cleric smiles warmly. But I am glad to see you. As for my accommodations, this is where they usually keep political prisoners. The College tried to send me to the violent crimes wing, but the warden is an old acquaintance of mine. Tony doesn't mention that, if he were locked up with some of the people he put away, he would be very dead by now.

[Reinholdt]

And he doesn't need to mention it.
"I should perform more political crimes. Best free lodging I've ever seen." Well except that one time, he snuck into and totally slept in a King's chamber while they were away on some national business. That was a nice bed.

"What are you writing?"

Wenomir closes the door behind him and says jovially: "Suetonius, was it? There's something we need to talk about, regarding an execution you folks have planned. The prevailing opinion seems to be that it shouldn't happen."

His player remembers that he's supposed to have an invisibility cloak. Oh well. It probably wouldn't have been useful so far anyway.

A didactic work on forensic psychology. Until Nomos forces the College to return me to my position investigating crimes, the only way I can serve Him is by making my knowledge available to everyone. Tony is trying to look suitably pious, as if he doesn't care that his God has not kept him from being imprisoned. But his boredom and frustration are showing through.


The fat priest starts to bluster. "Who are you? What do you want with me?"

"Who I am is irrelevant. What I want is simple. You're going to vote against the execution of Tony Sciano. If you do not, I'm going to find you and kill you," Wenomir says, his tone cold and emotionless. His voice, posture and the look in his eyes show clearly that he's both willing and able to do it.

"I think you just like saying didactic." Reinholdt says with a smile.

"And yes. I was going to go talk to Nomos about that. Do you have any suggestions on how to act when I approach him?"

Suetonius just slumps in his chair, quickly cowed. "All right, all right, no need to get drastic! I'll vote for his release... It's not like tomorrow will be any different than the other half a dozen times we tried."


You're going... to just talk to Nomos... The cleric stares at Rein, wondering where he's gotten the arrogance that allows him to think he can just sit down and have a chat with the God of Universal Order. Actually, that's a really easy question. Tobias put you up to this, didn't he?

That was easy. Looks like those priests are so used to bossing everyone around and having their every order obeyed that once someone actually turns the tables on them, they turn into trembling weaklings.
"I'm really glad to hear it. Do not forget what I said."
With that, he turns around to leave, then heads to the office of the next priest. Best to keep up the pressure and disappear before any of the priests starts thinking about it too hard.

"Actually I volunteered and suggested it after I talked him out of breaking you out of prison." Reinholdt says. He's got plenty without Tobias' help.
