I want to make a Bard...with some homebrew tweaks. i want his useages of bardic music per day deal sonic damage, or sonic as part of the spell.

lets see if we can come up with a comprehensive list, by level of sonic spells he can unleash.

also lets see if we can give him some Su abilities that trade out for his spell slots.....

and go!

Exchange Bardic Performances for my Weaver's Channel ability, but the damage can only be used in the sonic type.

IE: 30 ft. burst radius centered on your bard. sonic damage equal to +1d6 at first level plus an additional +1d6 at 3rd, 5th, 7th, etc.

Not exactly what you're looking for, but the Maven of the Strings (scroll down), may be able to provide some inspiration for (Su) abilities to trade in.

the Bard class in Rift ruined me and i need to emulate it...hah!

allow bard's to spontaneously cast their cure spells as sonic damaging spells of equal power. The cost could be to lower the number of bardic performances per day by one.

IE: Cure Moderate Wounds becomes a sonic spell dealing 2d8 points of sonic damage + 1 point per caster level (maximum +10).
