"I understand, but I have equipment specifically made to the task of extraction and concentration. With any luck, I should be able to bring a vial of it tomorrow." Agatha tells her. "If it is purely magical in nature, then I'm not sure I can be much of assistance with it except providing a new source of research."

Cessie's Lab

"Don't worry about it miss Ayrshire, even if you can't extract it you can still come with suggestions. Two minds think better then one after all." Cessie replies. "In fact, I have something I would want your opinion on." She heads over to what a appears to be some kind of chemical station and unlocks a ornate box which have been placed on the same table.

Once she unlocks it Agatha will see three vials have been placed in there containing a black very thick liquid which seems to move around in the vials.

"This is what I have determined to be essence from a form of evil spirit, a 'demon'. It's effects are actually rather similar to the apples in that it effects both the behavior and the appearance of those who consume it. The effect is however permanent and the subject is actually able to spread the essence to others while being afflicted by it. This and the fact that I believe the change the subject experiences are of a darker nature makes it much more dangerous then the apples." She explains while holding out the vial so Agatha can take a closer look at it. "But after observing that Wenomir, a member of Watchtower, was immune to the apple due to being part demon I theorize that this essence might in fact be able to counteract it."

Agatha takes the "Demon" vial and peers at it. "It must be an odd sort of demon if you're able to concentrate it's "essence" like this." She remarks. "Are you wanting me to get a counter-agent made then? If so, then I'll need a tiny sample of this as well. I suppose it's possible the Fey Apples could be made as an antidote, but I'd need a living subject or at least some living tissue in order to test it on. I'd hate to progress that far so quickly, but in the end, it'd be the only way to be sure."

"I extracted this directly from one of them. Apparently when one turns, their blood or other bodily fluid is turned into this essence." She explains. "I tried it out on a rat and the same thing happened to it. Sadly I had to put the rat down afterwards due to the effects of the essence but not before finding out a few important things. The essence grants an amazing boost in regeneration as well as other abilities which appear to be different from individual to individual. It also increases aggression however which is why I had to take it's life."

"So you can harvest more by infecting animals and taking their fluids? If you don't mind, I could take a tiny sample of this and use it to make more. If it works out that the Fey-Apples prove to be a countermeasure, I could use it directly on rats that I have back home." Agatha proposes.

Cessie's Lab

"The process generally take a while and is judging from the rats rather painful, many of them die instead of transforming." She explains. "As for a test I suppose you could burrow one of my vials. Just be careful though, this is very dangerous and nothing I generally would give away to someone I just met. I have already confirmed you with my brother though which is why I'm letting you keep that." The sorceress gestures towards the vial Agatha is holding.

At the mention of Arik, Agatha can't help but give a small and warm smile at nothing in particular as she reaches up to gently grasp the small brass sphere that hangs on a string around her neck. Thank you, Master Arik. She sends to him, using the enchantment through the amulet to speak to him. "Thank you, Mistress Cessie. I'll be careful with it." She says as she puts the vial into her pouch next to the fey apple. "Is there anything more I can be assistance with, or shall I head off and return in the morning?"

"Well, if you don't mind. Call me miss Mithar instead, or Lady Mithar. I'm not used to the mistress title. Otherwise you're free to go. I was going to lay down and read a book a book anyway now that Harnel is watching the kids." She replies with a faint smile.

From Arik she get only silence.

Well, at least until Cessie adds. "And my bother is very grateful for your hard work, I can tell. He just forget to say things like that."

Since the meeting is at an end, Agatha gives Cessie a deep curtsey. "Thank you, Lady Mithar. And I know how he is, but thank you again. I hope you have a pleasant evening. All of you." She says before leaving, ruined shoes in hand as she walks out to head home.

"You can take a pair of my old shoes for your way back home, they are underneath that shelf in the hall. I was going to throw them out anyway." The sorceress offers. "Otherwise I wish you all luck with your endeavors. I'm curious about the results."

[Halae]

Dining Room

((This time, I have been told to skip.))

"Perhaps the issue in the discrepancies reaches beyond the golems themselves, and into the magic systems used to create the golems. Slight differences in definition and usage might result in a more obvious change in the end product. It ultimately depends on the precise details of how each magic system treats animation and bestowing intelligence."

Kirin then resumes being quiet and looking thoughtful.

"Well, it certainly couldn't hurt. If I start teaching him and he doesn't pick it up, he doesn't. But if he does, then it's in his interest and ours that he learns." Harnel says, eating a bit more of his own casserole.

That's likely, Dorota says in response to Kirin's observation. Sizewell was animated by Divine Fire. Garn, as I understand, is an awakened spirit dwelling in his form. I'd have to compare notes with Cessie, though.

"But couldn't you say that, like, the Divine Fire awakened Sizewell's spirit so that they're totally kinda closer than it seems at first?" Crissy asks.

Syela's eating has actually slowed while she listens to the others talk. After a moment she digs in her bag and puts a pen and notebook on the table. She begins to jot down a few notes in it.

Kirin stays quiet for now, paying attention to the conversation going on at the table. Waiting for the perfect moment to step in with some insight or something.

"That's possible," Harnel says, "From my understanding of the process, Garn's spirit is the awakened concept of an adamantine gargoyle."

[Morty]

Dorota bites her lip. This is a rather muddy issue.
I'm honestly not sure how different or similar the are. I'd have to put them next to each other, compare them, maybe see some notes... that sort of thing.

"Well," Crissy declares, "like, what are we waiting for? Let's totally do it!"

"Cessie should probably be around for that." Syela reminds Crissy after swallowing her latest mouthful. She's pretty well finished her plate full by now.

Kirin shrugs. "Yeah, it's a pity she had to eat that apple." She really shouldn't say that, but she isn't really herself right now. Or maybe she's more fully herself?

Crissy starts to nod, then blinks curiously at Kirin.

Um... apple? Dorota asks, confused. They haven't mentioned anything about apples...

That draws a look from Harnel, with brow furrowed and expression clearly saying 'alright cat, it's time to shut the hell up.'

It probably looks quite funny to onlookers.

Syela looks curiously between Kirin and Harnel. Now that's interesting... It's a shame it's be impolite to ask further about it.

Kirin completely misses Harnel's pointed look. This might end up poorly...

"Well, Cessie has these fairy apples she wants to try out. I'm trying one right now. They're supposed to change you mentally and physically, but all I've noticed it do so far is change my fur color." She says as her pair of tails hang out of the chair lazily. "Have you noticed any changes, Harnel?"

I Believe This Is One Of The Occurences Referred To As "Slip-Ups", Sizewell says.
Dorota is silent, feeling awkward. They obviously weren't supposed to find out it. She can understand why, too - it sounds rather embarassing.

Crissy finds her cheeks reddening...but at Sizewell's comment can't help but start giggling.
"I think you're right, Sizewell..." she manages to observe after a moment.

"Fairy apples?" Syela couldn't resist asking, even though she suspects she shouldn't have. If Cessie and Harnel didn't want them to know about it, it's probably not a good idea to fish for information, however tempting it is.

"It's... a bit of an embarassing topic, given what just happened. If Cessie feels the need to tell you about it, she's the one to ask, but Kirin and I won't say more on the matter for fear of embarassing my wife. And myself. Isn't that right Kirin?" Harnel once more looks pointedly at Kirin, hoping the bluntness of this will get across to her.

"I anyone asked about that in particular, I would have just said "shenanegins" in a way that dissuaded further questioning. I'm pretty good at that when I want to be."

Guess you'll just have to take her word for that now...

"But, really, have you noticed any changes?"
