Re: Hello and Welcome New Members, Thread 10
Hello all, new to the forum, longtime gamer. I have not actually participated in P&P RPG's in several years, since getting married and moving away from my group, but I do sometimes miss it. Discussion about the D&D Next playtest drew me here, I downloaded it and had a little nostalgia when I saw they used the Caves of Chaos for the initial adventure, that was the very first module I ever ran/played from the basic D&D box set.
I have mostly DM/GM'd, but also participated in many a campaign. Started with 1ed basic D&D, have played all editions and options before 4th, was very happy with 3.5 (with a few custom rules). Tried pretty much all the White Wolf World of Darkness at one point or another, and combined them. Ran WEG Star Wars for some time, and the first two editions/revisions of D20 Star Wars. Have played various types of GURPS, RIFTS and TMNT. Feng Shui: Shadowfist Roleplaying is one of my guilty pleasures, I am a huge Hong Kong action movie/ kung fu movie fan. I tinkered with Aria: Canticle of the Monomyth for a while; never really got it off the ground, though I loved the potential and spent days and weeks designing a world for it. Kudos to anyone who A.) has ever heard of that and B.) actually owns it/is familiar with it.
Those are the RPG's I have the most experience with. My gaming time was also divided between occasional CCG's (mostly MTG and Middle Earth), and board/strategy games. Blood Bowl is a favorite (I am happy I can play again with the video game version), Mordheim, Battletech, and a long list of others.

Re: Hello and Welcome New Members, Thread 10
Hey, I just joined because one of the Play by Post games looked so interesting and I haven't been able to play a RPG in so long due to lack of interest and my inability to GM.

Hello.
Hello there.
New Poster here. Usually forums have some sort of introductory forum for new users such as myself, I could not seem to find one, but this one seemed to be the best bet.
Anyway,
I am TheCrowing1432, I am a huge fan of Coheed and Cambria.
I also enjoy MLP, Homestuck and many other wonderful things on the internet.
But the most important of my interests is, Dungeons and Dragons, more importantly, the 3.5 edition.
My favored class is the monk.
I look forward to posting here and being part of the community.

Re: Hello.
Welcome to the playground, you'll have a great time around here!
Introductions are usually handled here. I also recommend reading the rules of posting.
You'll probably feel right at home in the Media and RP forums. There's probably a monk thread going on right now

Hello all-
I've been playing various P&P RPGs since the early Eighties and am a longtime reader of OotS, as well as these forums more recently, so I figured I should register.

Re: Hello and Welcome New Members, Thread 10
Allo allo. Another long time OotS reader and gamer reporting in. I'm mostly a veteran of d20 system games (DnD 3.5, Pathfinder, Modern, SW Saga, Starship Troopers), though there's a few other systems I'm interested in getting my feet wet in at some point at well since I love the setting materials(Dark Heresy, Serenity/Cortex). Apart from that, mostly just interested in kicking back and relaxing a bit.

Re: Hello and Welcome New Members, Thread 10
Well, I posted here when I was in early high school. It was about the time I was fourteen to sixteen.
-cut to six years later....
I'm a writer and Community Manager for the Indie Game Magazine, and volunteering as Social Media Coordinator for the Boston Festival of Indie Games. I was asked to start posting in forums to spread the word about Boston FIG's game showcase.
(goes into businessguy mode)
Basically any digital or tabletop developer out of New England and the surrounding area can show off their games if they submit before the 20th. Attendance is free too, as this is a non profit event.
(goes back into coolguy mode)
It's been a few years, so I hope there are still some familiar faces around!
ps: I hope I'm not being an obnoxious advertiser. It's all volunteer run, so I hope it's okay to talk about. Just really want to see the event go well, and if I remember this is something people around here would enjoy.Self Diagnosed Indie Game Addict. Would love to see you at the Boston Festival of Indie Games!

Re: Hello and Welcome New Members, Thread 10
Hello!
I am one of the many(?) teenagers who enjoy D&D, but often can't play. Due to being a creative person in general, I decided to join to get my dnd fix and to share to you my homebrews and thoughts in general.
As you probably have noticed, I did join about 5 days ago, but was too busy producing threads to remember to introduce myself.Last edited by Arkhosia; 2013-06-18 at 03:29 PM.

Don't worry, I'm sure the Bovine armor I posted will make up for any "ill will", unless you're bullheaded.

After silently stalking this site from over my brother's shoulder for several years, I finally decided to actually make an account.
So, yeah.
