Why, that sounds simply amazing. Perhaps Eledwhen could teach him how to live in the forest, all he knows for survival is "Shoot animals with miniguns, see what's left that's edible".

Ooh, yes! Eledwhen could teach him how to survive in the wilderness!

Lamianos might show her self-assertiveness! She's a little like Fluttershy...

    How old is Lamianos?

Well I'm not too certain on whether we're going by Human aging or Horse aging (Or how MLP works with aging). So comparing to humans he's probably 29 (He busted out of Chimera before they could put him in Stasis).

Fluttershy you say? She's one of the my favorite characters, I think I'm going to enjoy Eledwhen.

Near the Badlands or IN the Badlands? Basically describe the part of the map you want the city to be in and I'll plunk it down and update things.

On the Chimeras I'm pretty sure that subject is touched on quite heavily in the Project Horizons spin-off fic. If people are interested in using aspects of Project Horizons then I'm totally fine with that.

On the Steel Rangers it is important to note that Earth Ponies are the only ones who get the powered armor. Unicorns can be part of the organization, but they take up the roles as scribes and officials. Their capacity is purely non-combat.

The Steel Ranger powered armor was built with Earth Ponies in mind and doesn't have any way to accommodate a Unicorn's horn. 's a point that was made pretty clear in Fallout Equestria.

I suppose Lamianos could have stolen a suit of the stuff when he was outcast and modified it to accommodate himself. Though the Steel Ranger armor would be way too heavy to fly in.

He's a bit like a Deranged Knight. He's not easily roused but when he is he gets ultra violent. He's a bit narcissistic in that he thinks only he alone can save Equestria from the crap storm it's gone through. Due to this vision he is kind to those who are weaker then him, almost father like (But will quickly dish out punishment when he feels one of them are being insubordinate). He also enjoys experimenting, particularly with what people fear and how he can push them to their breaking point. He is honor bound to people who help him, but he expects that same honor bestowed onto him, otherwise he will revoke it and treat them as either neutral or hostiles. And that's a summary on Lamianos.

Edit: can earth ponies cast magic? Or is that strictly for Unicorns? If no then I will stick with what you have given me.

Edit: can earth ponies cast magic? Or is that strictly for Unicorns? If no then I will stick with what you have given me.
Now exposition about the three pony tribes!

ALL ponies are magical. As is to be expected of magical talking pastel colored tiny horses. Unicorns are the only ponies that can actually cast spells (aside from Alicorns, more on them later).

Earth pony magic takes the form of an empathic bond between themselves and whatever their special talent is. To an observer it would appear as though they're just REALLY good at whatever it is they do, but it goes deeper than that. Fluttershy is a bit unusual in that she uses Earth Pony magic in addition to her (very weak) Pegasus magic. Her Stare is a form of empathic overload I would guess.

Pegasus pony magic allows them to fly despite their tiny wings, grants them the ability to mess with weather, and allows for interaction with clouds as if they were solid object.

Zebras cast spells as well, but instead of using arcane magic like the Unicorns they instead create potions (and other objects) and pour the spell-effect into that. Obviously it takes longer to craft a potion than it does to cast a spell, but once the potion or artifact has been made anypony can use it.

Alicorns are a fusion of all three pony tribes and use all three forms of magic. However the Alicorns of Unity have no cutie marks since they have no individuality.

    Finally on the Steel Rangers:

I want to reiterate that Unicorns in the ranks of the Steel Rangers are non-combatants. This means they wouldn't have any training with the use of the powered armor or its weapon systems. And the armor isn't something that can just be strapped into and expect good results from. Earth ponies are stronger and sturdier than the other two tribes and the armor was built with that in mind. A Pegasus or Unicorn wearing it would probably have difficulty moving around with the ease that a trained Earth pony would.

Hrmmm, time to weigh my options.

Be an Earth Pony and just be Very good at scaring people and at combat (Plus more comfortable in power armor).

Or be a Unicorn and cast Fear inducing spells, Soul Sucking/Raising spells, and be meh at Combat (Plus have to mish mash armour to accommodate the unusual form of the user). Hmmmm, decisions decisions.

Unicorn with mishmash armor that has been heavily modified for wings and horn, drawing the ire of the Steel Rangers for desecrating a sacred relic of the Ministry of Wartime Technology. That would make some mighty powerful enemies.

Wings and power armor really don't mix that well. At least not Steel Ranger armor. Enclave armor was built with Pegasus in mind and would work, but then again that would mean your character isn't a Steel Ranger at all.

    Basically:

    1) Steel Ranger armor and wings don't mix well.
    2) Steel Ranger armor and unicorn horns don't mix well.
    3) Unicorns in the Steel Rangers are non-combatants.
    4) A banished Steel Ranger wouldn't be allowed to keep his or her armor, it would have to be taken by force.

Also having both innate flight as well as unicorn magic is a bit iffy. That's what the Alicorns are for. And why I had my hippogriff Heimdalr born without wings. Necromancy is also a fairly rare form of magic since it was more or less forbidden in pre-war Equestria. Lost lore like that would be the realm of the Twilight Society.

Baaaasically it seems like you're trying to mash too many concepts into one character. I would suggest picking out the parts that are most important to your PC's identity and dialing everything else back just a tad.

I suppose it is time for me to voice my opinions, since Rebo is not as familiar with Project Horizons.

Although, I would be interested in some backstory before I start poking and prodding away at Tychris' idea.
That's quite the mishmash of ideas, and I'm curious as to how they came to be, for Lamianos.

I pity Eledhwen, but Night Jewel and Flash Fizz seem to be settled into things.
I would imagine Night to be in some sort of salvage job, with skills of that sort.

Your probably right. In my delusional attempt at driving down the path of cool I forgot that things need to cohesively fit together. There wasn't a history section in the bio so i thought that would be extrapolated in the IC. Alright, I'll drop his magical side in favor of being an Earth Pony/Chimera (And the fear aspect as well). Name: Lucky Break

    Race: Pegasus

Cutie Mark/Special Talent: A Silver Dollar. His special talent is that he's prone to randomly moments of really good luck, usually in conjunction with something bad. Winning a game of cards despite having a bad hand, finding a nice piece of loot hidden amongst some junk, surviving a bullet to the face... that sorta thing.

    Virtue: Undiscovered.

Appearance: Light brown fur, dark brown mane, crystal blue eyes. Wears a a black leather vest, black desperado hat, a pair of brown leather saddle-bags, a battle-saddle combat harness. His face is currently obscured by bandages, to cover his still-healing scars.

    Faction: Mohoofe Deliveries.

Skills: Flight, Speechcraft, Repair, Battle-Saddle Gunslinging, Sneaking.

Equipment: -Desperado hat, vest, and saddlebags
-Battle-saddle combat harness equipped with two hunting rifles
    -9mm semi-auto handgun
    -Mohoofe Courier ID

Background: Lucky was working as a Courier for Mohoofe Deliveries, when a delivery brought him out into the heart of Equestria. He doesn't remember what went down exactly, only that he was beaten, shot, lit on fire, and left for dead in a ditch. And yet, by some lucky break, he survived. A roaming merchant found his broken and burnt body, still somehow clinging to life, and helped nurse him back from the brink of death. They then left him in New Apaloosa until he could fully regain his strength. Now that he's recovered enough to be up and about, Lucky has only one goal in mind: revenge. How far he's willing to go in order to accomplish this goal, however, is yet to be determined...

Besides, writing in a young child's voice is fun! They have such loud and big emotions!

That's because they usually get traumatized, kidnapped, tortured, raped, and/or murdered. Seriously, almost every foal in Fallout: Equestria was horrifically traumatized in some manner, IIRC.

Not to discourage you from playing that character, of course. Just... know that you're really setting yourself up for some pretty heavy/challening stuff, more than likely.

Why do ponies traumatize, kidnap, torture, murder, and rape them?

    That makes it more interesting.

So if anyone has an evil character, feel free to take a shot at Eledhwen.

There's nothing wrong with awesome ideas! Nifty character traits are the spice that help a PC be more interesting. But just as in cooking too much spice can be a bad thing.

You don't need magic to be scary. You're a chimera in Steel Ranger armor. That's plenty scary enough! Just mention that intimidating his foes is one of your character's skills! Though should work well enough.

Also on the point of naming! Ponies tend to have fairly descriptive names that are a composite of two words. Zebras have a single word describing some natural process or object (or a nonsense word if you prefer. Extra points for starting with a Z!). Griffons tend to have Norse or Old English names.

There are, of course, deviations from all conventions.

    Also!

I updated the map with Watcher's Cave, New Pegasus, and six (6) Enclave Mining Outposts.

    Why are ponies mean?
Because Harmony is dead. Many ponies have completely abandoned virtue and have fallen into vileness and insanity. To Slavers a foal is simply a quick source of caps. To a Raider a foal is a source of entertainment for a few minutes until they kill her whether intentionally or not. To the nasty irradiated wildlife a foal is a tasty snack.

Foals especially are prone to abuse because they represent a light of purity and innocence to the particularly deranged.
And opposites do not attract politely, in the Equestrian Wasteland.

There are a few children who don't get completely brutalized in the story, but innocence is not something they ever possess for more than a smidgen of time.

If you want to play an innocent filly that doesn't get completely devoured by the Equestrian Wasteland then I suspect a Pink Cloud Ghost would be the way to go.

Ghosts were sort-of-killed by the necromantic Pink Cloud in Canterlot. But instead of the usual ghoul-creating process they became a semi-corporeal phantom made of the Pink Cloud itself bound inside a hazardous environment suit that was given out to protect a few (un)lucky foals from radiation in case of a Balefire Bomb attack.

Since the attack on Canterlot 200 years ago Ghosts have been waking up every now and again. Some of them go completely feral and cause a lot of damage until somepony puts them down. Others have no idea what happened to them and simply begin to wander, often times searching for lost parents in the Wastes.

You... uh... You may want to read through the first 3-4 chapters of Fallout: Equestria.

And it looks like we're playing an odd mix of heroes, anti-heroes, and outright bad people. Freeforms tend to lack a GM, and function as a broad narrative pieced together by multiple writers working in mutual cohesion. Combat and other events are not determined by dice or rules, but by storytelling and OOC decision making between players. Respect for other players and keeping things within the realm of reason and probability are key aspects of a freeform RPG. Freeform pbps are both much easier, and also much harder than normal pbp games.

At least, that's my experience. And I've actually GMed a Fallout freeform RPG once, many years ago. Went quite well, actually...

Mmm-mmm. She's a normal pegasus. Not tortured or raped.

    Yet.

Can you link the first chapters to me?

    What? What? Bad ponies? Who?

Well, Lamian is definetely a Anti-Hero borerlining on Villain. So that's one. And if a background would help clarify all the "Hodge Podge Mish Mash" and make it more understandable then yes I would definitely do that.

I'm generally known for being a completely terrible person, so I will be likely arbitrating more than a few unpleasant events and individuals.

Rebo should probably link a few story things in the main post.

Anyways, considering making a griffon, a merc, not tied to any faction, tends to work as a bodyguard, the stoic trying to find a purpose in life after hers was ripped away years ago.
