Re: [FO:E] FallOut Equestria Interest and Possible First OOC Thread
A random question that occurred to me.
I view raiders as largely throwaway encounters at the moment, mostly just a source of time-spending and interaction rather than actual danger.
Are any of the groups even at a power level to be threatened by the average raider group?"Fear and creativity are conjoined twins."

Re: [FO:E] FallOut Equestria Interest and Possible First OOC Thread
I think that in the right circumstances, Raiders can be a forced to recon with. Some of them do occasionally carry really good weapons and armor in the Fallout games, after all, and their traps can be quite deadly.
At the current point, Lucky, Gwendolyn, and Bright Eyes could hold their own against several Raiders, but a large raiding party would really give them a run for their money.
And Lucky may or may not be serving as a bodyguard on a caravan in the near future.
Just sayin.

I think it's a matter of organizations. Random mouth-foaming berserkers not so much, make a Fiend/Khan analog or have a warlord bring up a horde on the other hand...

Re: [FO:E] FallOut Equestria Interest and Possible First OOC Thread
Large parties, thankfully, are not "average". I will likely only distribute those when I feel cruel.
Similar with well-equipped raiders...or perhaps later on, when power-creep has begun.
Alsooooo, this is the point where either Heim and Co. will bump into Lucky and Co., or pass them by.
Decisions! Also up to you."Fear and creativity are conjoined twins."

I am ambivalent. While I had intended for this to originally go without interruption, if you guys want to join in, I won't stop you. I figure the Wasteland is big and wide enough for them to easily pass each other by and not notice it, or for them to happen upon each other. *shrug*

It's mostly just a matter if they're both taking the same road, since I don't imagine New Appleoosa has too many.
But passing is possible!
There was the option of waiting for your scene to tidy up, but I too am largely ambivalent. Just desired to have confirmation one way or another."Fear and creativity are conjoined twins."

Well, this scene should (hopefully) wrap up in another round or two of posting. So if you want to wait and rendezvous afterwards, that works too.
So much apathy and ambivalence. XDAnemoia: Nostalgia for a time you've never known.

It's not my job as the DM to care. Caring leads to railroading, and railroading leads to dark places!
Or something.
Maybe I just find it easier to let other people make the decisions."Fear and creativity are conjoined twins."

Re: [FO:E] FallOut Equestria Interest and Possible First OOC Thread
So, with the Old Appaloosa party, do y'all want me to wait until everyone/almost everyone has responded before I reply? Or should I reply after 3-4 people have posted, so we don't get bogged down? I don't want people to feel like they're being left behind, but I also don't want people chomping at the bit and getting frustrated because it's taking forever.
Edit: Gonna go ahead and post for this round, just to get things moving and out in the open and have plot exposition. Then I'll wait for most/all the group to reply before responding to the Old Appaloosa folks again.Last edited by Lycan 01; 2012-09-11 at 05:13 PM.

Actually, the Legion doesn't raze every village they come across. Most tribes are invited to join them peacefully. It's only the ones who fight back and raise a fuss who get razed. Yes, that's still bad, but it's not like they're the "BURN EVERYTHING IN OUR PATH!! " sort of evil.

Re: [FO:E] FallOut Equestria Interest and Possible First OOC Thread
Heeeey, now that I'm thinking, in FO:E, as far I know, there's been an..... incident that changed powers from Celestia to Luna, and she's the one that formed the ministry mares, so if she was the ruler at the moment, could there be (or have been) a "New Lunar Republic"?
....Uh, the idea sounds weirder with stuff of the same name around the internetExtended sig

Left a translation in spoilers. I've seen that before, and I think it works pretty well.

For the sake of everyone's sanity and the saving of time, I say we just put the Latin in "<" and ">" marks. So rather than saying "Nihil sub sole novum" you would just say "<There is nothing new under the sun.>"
Sound good?

Re: [FO:E] FallOut Equestria Interest and Possible First OOC Thread
Also still amusing to see Latin being called 'Old Equestrian' considering that Roman terms are used for Zebra-related stuff. That and Latin is straight up used for Zebra in a number of the spin-off Fics (Project Horizons, ect).
>_>
I'll agree with Lycan here. <I am totally talking in Old Equestrian> Datguy said in Old Equestrian. Is probably the best way to go.Warning! Random Encounter™ detected!

Re: [FO:E] FallOut Equestria Interest and Possible First OOC Thread
The obvious answer being that it totally is Old Equestrian and those evil, demonic, uncreative Zebras stole it, much like they did Megaspells, the resources they owe us, and virtually every positive factor of their society.
If you feel any doubt as to the validity of the above statement, please report to the Ministry of Morale, Citizen.

Er, how intricate do I need to be in describing the map, and the actual layout of Old Appaloosa? I mean, do I need to actually draw a map, or can I just loosely describe the place? IE: half-ass it.

Re: [FO:E] FallOut Equestria Interest and Possible First OOC Thread
Half-assing it is always the best plan. Just keep in mind that the train tracks run right through the town. And the big warehouse/barn thing serves as their common meeting place (and armory).
In unrelated news, I think Ima drop a pair of ponies in Manehatten getting into some trouble. We'll see what becomes of it!Warning! Random Encounter™ detected!
