"You did, but I don't mind... Waking up people I love from bad dreams isn't something I mind doing, generally.

She snuggles closer, pressing her head a little above Karyana's left breast to listen to her heartbeat.

((By the way: Nerine was a sea goddess she got involved with as a mortal, Brigitte was a fellow Nerinite she had a fling with that ended badly, you probably have heard of Genkai, with whom she had a good relationship and a son as well as an adopted daughter... then a breakup, a marriage, and a divorce.))

Karyana sighs, frowning, and pulls the covers over them both, not really sure what to say, though she feels like it should be something.

((Oh, yeah, I forgot Ari! She was the girl who took Carrie into HALO, and Carrie got the admiration-crush kinda hard, which worked out... not at all.
Aaand... her Aspects were severed from her by the shock of Chris leaving her and Karyana is her paladin and, besides the obsessive and almost slavish Guides, her only friend.))
She smiles a little bit, feeling better to know the vampire girl is there.

((They became their own people; people have tried to help her, but she basically pushed them away and stopped coming to HALO, keeping holed up in her realm and occasionally visiting Karyana.))

Her hair, once a pale gold, is mostly silver; stress has taken its toll behind the scenes.
She's still very pretty, though her scars are somehow more noticeable this way.
