***Locks are objects, right? Think them suckers only have 8 hp anyway, and Acid bypasses the 1/2 damage from most objects resistence. So, when picking it don't work, let the crazy mad scientist loose with the acid.***

Now, the lock (being iron) has a hardness of 10 and 15hp (the actual mechanism is only 1/2 an inch thick)... Calculating.... Ouch... Brain no like**

The metal of the lock starts to sizzle and melt as the acid starts doing it's job, slowly, after about 18 seconds you hear a small "thhhick" sound as the it finally eats through the internal mechanism of the lock.

As Matt opens the door he see's a bookshelf sliding back into place and the fading image of a man in a mirror.
The room looks to be a small office of sorts, walls lined with bookshelves and cabinets. A large desk with a soft looking, tall backed arm chair behind it sitting just off center from the middle of the room.

Lillith follows him in, and, after checking for any unpleasant... surprises, she searches the room.

As you search around the room you find that not only is the bookcase the man used to escape trapped, but so are the desk drawers.
There is also a trap door hidden under the desk that seems barely big enough for a human to fit through.

After attempting to disable the devices, Lillith turns to the others
"Trap door beneath the desk, and the door in the bookcase. Which to follow?"

As the needle retracts, Lillith tries to use her dagger to bend it, so it can't re-arm.
She then searches the desk, never mentioning the needle trap that she missed.
