Re: Favourite Character Tournament
Haley Starshine for her paranoia.
Kilkil for his mathematical precision.
Thor for his exuberance.
Lien for her disembowelment threats.

Re: Favourite Character Tournament
Haley Starshine for being the most effective member of the Order in combat (deals considerable damage and takes very little)
Mr. Phil Rodriguez because Kilkil has (thusfar) been disappointing.
Thor because cutaways to Thor never fail to entertain
Samantha only because Lien has (thusfar) been disappointing, but like Kilkil, is very likely to play a more important role later.

Re: Favourite Character Tournament
Haley. Evisceratus might have more of a chance if was in another strip, or had funnier lines.
Kilkil. Sorry, Phil.
Thor. If Thor wasn't as... "Thor-ish" as he is, I would pick Inkyrius.
Lien. Samantha has little chance. Being a whore is that little chance.

Haley! - "You're actually a yellow-footed rock wallaby."
Rodriguez - "The conviction rate is 114% and that doesn't even make sense!"
Inkyrius - "If you had no choice, then give up the power. Now."
Lien - "Actually, it was your, uh... distinctive speech pattern... that made me suspicious."

Re: Favourite Character Tournament
Haley I refuse to believe someone like Haley would be defeated by a man who was ultimately killed by a cat.
Mr. Rodriguez A stroke of dumb luck.
Thor Assuming he would even care to fight a mortal elven baker.
Samantha As much as I like Lien, Samantha has the advantage: 1) She can fly 2) She has other spells too.Signatures are so 90's.

Re: Favourite Character Tournament
Since nobody voted for more than two weeks, is it time for another round? Or maybe the official hiatus?

Probably slowed down since some people probably only check the board when a new comic goes up.
A new round would be good though.

Agreed, would be fun to see the next set of pairings.
78% of all DM's start their first campaign in a tavern. If you're among the 22% who didn't, copy and paste this into your signature and tell us where you DID begin. The players were attacked individually on the road on the way to town by werewolves. To survive, they had to team up then and there without knowing anything about eachother (literally -- all character sheets were completed without other players' knowledge).

Spoiler3: Haley Starshine - 25 - 96.15%
VS
Evisceratus - 1 - 3.85%
Alas, poor Evisceratus.
Kilkil - 11 - 44.00%
VS
Mr. Phil Rodriguez - 14 - 56.00%
The very generous lover advances to Round 2, where he will be destroyed by Haley.
Inkyrius - 4 - 15.38%

Thor - 22 - 84.62%

Samantha - 4 - 15.38%

I actually thought Samantha would do a little better...
In light of the long hiatus, we're going to have a double edition of FCT! *hold for excited applause*
Elan: "I can't tell if the cat is a good influence on Belkar, or Belkar is a bad influence on the cat."
Haley: "Both, I think, but it probably still averages somewhere south of Neutral."
10: Mr. Scruffy
VS
Julio Scoundrél
"Well, as an older mentor figure, the most likely scenario is that I'd return only to be randomly killed by an enemy of yours so that you can cradle my dying body while swearing revenge - so don't take it personally if I say that I sincerely hope we never cross paths again."
Hinjo: "Sangwaan, how many-"
Sangwaan: "314."
Hinjo: "... How did you know what I was-"
Sangwaan: "You were going to ask how many clerics we have that are capable of turning undead."
O-Chul: "Yeah, but the real question is-"
Sangwaan: "249 of them are 3rd level or lower."
O-Chul: "I'm over here."
Sangwaan
VS
Tsukiko
"Look, everyone knows that the undead are the antithesis of life, right? Except, people are jerks. Lying, untrustworthy jackasses, every one of them. Everyone knows this, too. So, logically, undead must be the opposite of that: caring, sensitive, honest souls who are oppressed by the living majority and their negative stereotypes. They just need someone like me who understand them, so that they can realise it."
"ATTENTION, MEWLING CITY DWELLERS!... Gaze in fear as the trees of your much-vaunted 'municipal park' angrily awaken to wreak bloody vengeance on you for incarcerating them in a well-mowed prison! The once and future masters of this land walk among you now! Let those who led their dogs to urinate on them now flee in mortal terror! Crush them, my leafy comrades! Tear down this concrete abomination once and for all! So commands Leeky Windstaff, evil gnome druid! Bwahahaha!"
Leeky Windstaff
VS
Jirix
"My friends, our god has given me a task. No, he's given us ALL a task. We are going to build this nation into the most prosperous, most secure country on the face of the planet. And we are going to do it one brick at a time. It's not always going to be easy, but it's going to happen. Goblins WILL take their rightful place in this world! Because I don't know about any of you, but I have no intention of getting back to that great army and getting stuck on latrine duty!"
*hold for laughs*
"OK, gang, hot dogs and cheeseburgers for everyone!"
Roy's Archon: "But I dream that someday, after I guide enough clueless practitioners up the mountain - I will be rewarded with all the blessings that a higher-class archon has. Wisdom, tranquility, inner strength-
Roy Greenhilt: "Hands?"
Roy's Archon: "That's intentional. It's so I don't strangle smartass newbies."
Roy's Archon
VS
15: Miko Miyazaki
Miko Miyazaki: "Very well... we can camp here in this muddy ditch. There are sharp rocks we can use as pillows and plenty of lichen to eat."
Roy Greenhilt: Year, that's, um, that's one option we could consider. Or, if I may be so bold as to suggest an alternative..."
*motions to 'Weary Travellers Inn and Tavern'*
Miko Miyazaki: "Well, yes, I suppose if you wanted to give in to gluttony and corruption..."
Belkar: "You and me to the end, remember? Now go, and don't let that Vulcan-in-fantasy-drag push you around."
Douchebag Guard: "Awwww, the jowwy widdle hawfwing wuvs his widdle cat! How cute!"
*pause. cut to Tarquin's box.*
Kilkil: "I don't mean to alarm you, General, but I think that halfling is force-feeding another man's intestines to one of our guards."
4: Belkar Bitterleaf
VS
Thanh
Thanh: "No, Niu- you must flee."
Niu: "Huh?"
Thanh: "The resistance is dead, the phylactery lost. You need to take this scroll of Sending and run as far away from this mountain as you can. When you're clear, use it to contact Lord Hinjo and tell him-"
Niu: "But what about-"
Thanh: "Nothing else matters! My life is the toll I gladly pay to get that message to our king. Haley told me to let you handle anything requiring stealth, Niu, and this is exactly that. Do you require that it be an order? It is. A direct order. GO!"
"PICKLE DEATH ATTACK!"
Crystal
VS
Girard Draketooth
Girard Draketooth: "If you are hearing this recorded illusion, the heuristic magic has determined that you are at least 90% likely to be Soon Kim-"
Roy Greenhilt: "Now we're getting somewhere!"
Girard Draketooth: "-or one of his fascist paladin lackeys."
"You may have won this round, Order of the Stick, but we swear our revenge on you! When you least expect- GAK!"
Trigak (Does anyone remember this guy? Anyone at all?)
VS
Secret SoD Character
(If you've read Start of Darkness, you know who I'm talking about. If you haven't, consider voting for the other guy.)
"If anyone needs me, I will be up here on my throne, being awesome!"
Empress of Blood
VS

Re: Favourite Character Tournament
1. Julio Scoundrel. He is at least a character, not a class feature.
2. Sangwaan. Nice contest. I never liked Tsukiko.
3. Leeky Windstaff. The largest ham in the entire comic? Yes please. Alas for Jirix.
4. Roy's Archon. This guy had some nice remarks.
5. Thanh. Please, please eliminate the psychopath.
6. Crystal. A tough contest between two dirtbags, Crystal has an outside chance of getting smarter.
7. No vote.
8. Qarr. I don't like fat dragons. There must be some sense of order - personal, political or dramatic - and if no one else is going to bring it to this world, I will.

Re: Favourite Character Tournament
1. Julio Scoundrel. Mr. Scruffy is only really interesting in relation to Belkar. Julio is awesome all the time.
2. Sangwaan. This is less a vote for Sangwann and more a vote for not-Tsukiko.
3. Jirix. I prefer him to Leeky. No particular reason.
4. Miko Miyazaki. You know, the one we've seen on panel long enough to know things about.
5. Belkar. The only funny thing left in this damn comic strip!
6. Ugh. No vote.
7. Secret SoD Character. Assuming they are who I think they are.
8. Empress of Blood. Something about Qarr has always just rubbed me the wrong way.

Mr. Scruffy VS Julio Scoundrél
I never cared much for Julio.
Sangwaan VS Tsukiko
Tsukiko was a very annoying character aside from her final appearance.
Leeky Windstaff VS Jirix
Short-lived, but memorable.
Roy's Archon VS Miko Miyazaki
Whatever people may think of Miko, the arc with her in it was very entertaining.
Belkar Bitterleaf VS Thanh
Thanh is one of the less memorable of the Sapphire Guard.
Crystal VS Girard Draketooth
Dumb evil never wins.
Trigak VS Secret SoD Character
No idea who the latter is.
Empress of Blood VS Qarr

Also, I'd like to take a moment for a bonus poll: how many people voting in favor of Sangwaan are really just voting in favor of "not-Tsukiko"?
