    Nodding, Blake says, "I feel for you... but you aren't the only ones trying to survive out here, and trying to force us will only hurt us all in the end. Lux!" He flicks the Pokeball back out, releasing the Litwick in front of him. Remembering its trainer's request, the ghost-type releases a stream of fire from its flame, spiralling around the bird. "Good... hit and run, Lux. It can't follow you underground, after all!" The Litwick gives a cry of assent before vanishing into the ground.

    Blake will Release Lux at E6. Lux will use Fire Spin on the Skarmory, then phase 2M down into the ground.

    Slasher leaps at the trainer, but it can't attack through the Skarmory. The metal bird takes the hit, looking angrier. Coatlicue dives in with a bite as well, surprising the Skarmory but not hurting it too much. That's when Lux unleashes a rope of fire, trapping the bird to the ground for at least a little longer. The trap seems to hurt the Skarmory, more so than just the flames. Saving her words for people that kept them, the Rider does something with her styler and a spiral of light appears before Slasher, confusing him with dizziness.

    Summary: Skarmory took the hit for it's rider. The bite flinched it for next turn. Lux trapped it for the next 2 turns. The Rider used Dizzy on Slasher, he's now confused.

    Seeing the rider use the styler (I thought only Rangers had those...) to confuse Slasher, Blake smirks slightly. "You're not the only one who can do that... Lux, get above them and Confuse Ray them both!" The Litwick darts up from below the ground, placing itself 2M above the Skarmory and its rider, and fires a beam of violet energy down at the two to confuse them.

    Dave recalls slasher and sends out Biter on the same spot"Biter go! use knock off get that sack back!" once oriented the bright red skorupi dives through the flames, scales the flinched skarmory, and swings at the riders grip on the bag before leaping back to a safe distance(I guess she never really leaves F7 mechanically speaking)Dave also scans the skarmory hoping the dex will tell him if its actually owned or another wild companion like the other ranger kid he met on the boat

    Collin's rock flies straight through the air but the giant metal bird seems to dodge at the very last second. It's still too shocked to actually move or attack, so it can do nothing as Biter attacks it's rider. She drops the bag of loot and it falls beneath the Skarmory, out of your reach. Coatlicue ignores the minor victory and bites the bird again, keeping it flinched and unable to retaliate. Lux flies out of the ground and uses a mental beam of energy to confuse both enemies in one go. Now that she has a hand free, the Rider works through her confusion and pulls a small spray bottle out of her pocket. She sprays the Skarmory and in the dim light you can see many of it's smaller wounds closing.

If you lend us the ball to recall your mon when the fire-spin wears off then we can still talk this out, we shouldn't be wasting supplies on each other when the ones responsible for the blast are still at large"

    Dave acts quickly "back off Biter back off!" at Daves waving biter shifts back to B8 "I didn't start this fight so its not totally my call to end it, but if the others agree to backing off you should keep this in mind. We want to prove that we were not lying about Joan sending us and wanting to work together so we are not going to stop you if you choose tail us back home. And if you do I will do everything in my power and insure there are no more surprises. not to mention our doctor could help patch up your mount, and once the seeds are secured we can gather up some food to send back with you."

Recalling the Litwick, he quickly re-releases it as the flames die down. "I'll do what I can for your Skarmory, if you like... but please, come with us," Blake says, a pleading tone in his voice. "You said yourself that you're trying to help others who survived this madness... then help them. And let us help them, as well... we can pool our efforts and improve everyone's chances at survival."

    As all the other pokemon back off, the Skarmory finally starts moving. The more astute of you can tell, this thing is pissed off! But luckily the Rider seems to hold to her word and without any argument they burst into the sky and fly off into the darkness. "Well, wasn't that touching?" a deep voice says from behind you. The three of you turn and see three figures covered in flames. Two look to be pokemon, but the one in the middle looked more human, and it spoke again, "We were wondering what the Light would bring, and it appears to be you three." Fanned out behind the three flaming creatures is a small crowd of people, most looking scared, some furtive, but all unharmed.

    I'm giving out Full XP from that fight.
    -Coatlicue and Lux each gain 2,400 XP.
    -Slasher and Biter must split the 2,400 XP.

    "We have heard nothing of those responsible for the blast, in fact a few have suggested that the darkness favors Ms. Darc more than anyone else. These are just baseless rumors, of course," he says to Collin. "Please feel free to alert her to our presence, but don't expect us to be dropping by. We have our respected differences, to live together would cause needless friction." Blake can see that none of the followers are wounded. In fact, many of them seem better fed than those in the Arena. Your pokedex alerts you that both of Brother Malcolm's guards are Magmars.
