Blake looks into the hole curiously for a moment before saying, "I'll send a message back to Joan to let her know that he's wandering around, and we'll continue looking for signs of the bombers." He quickly taps out the message on his P-Gear even as he thinks to Celeste, Can you remember his scent in case we need to track him down in the future? Maybe move back along his path a bit to try and find it where other scents aren't as strong? -Joan, your last challenger before the blast - guy with the Steelix - we spotted him here in casino district. He disappeared into sewers. Is he with us, or unknown?-

Dave look into the hole "it could be he is just scouting for another group probably in the hotel district he was staying in before the blast... so now what?"

[Darchias]

Mueki shrugged. "I guess we should look for other signs of life. Picking up a scent from nothing is pretty hard, so my Pokemon aren't a lot of help. We should maybe hide, wait and see if anyone comes to investigate the noise this Steelix made when it burrowed?

"Not a bad idea, that."

Sorry about delay, busy lately.

Joan replies to Blake's message before very long. "Check him out. Information we have shows that the damage might have been caused by a large pokémon, and he has not been seen since I battled him."

not seeing any better leads and figuring a reason to check out the sewers is inevitable regardless of what the others said Dave and growler climb down "We'll need lux for this if he doesn't take kindly to us following him. Though I doubt the same tricks will work on him as they did that skarmory." Dave has Growler pickup the trail so they can follow with out having to keep up.

Collin will follow behind, ready for trouble.

[Darchias]

Mueki dithers, not wanting to go down into the sewer. Sighing, she brings out Punipini and buries her nose in his fur before following Dave down. "At least I can freeze the water..."

Blake nods, climbing down into the sewer as well. He releases Lux to provide some added light, but keeps Celeste out as well, maintaining his link with the Umbreon.

Dave blinks "Hmm... Maybe that's how the buildings collapsed? The water froze and the expanding ice broke up the sewer and compromised the buildings foundation? It might be a good trick to remember if we ever have to get through a brick wall."

"Why wouldn't we just dig under it?" Collin asks, confused.

"I'll get back to you on that one" responds Dave with a chuckle

[Darchias]

Mueki blinked, the science going over her head. "Huh? How would freezing water damage buildings?"

It would take a lot of water and a lot of freezing to damage any structure significantly. If I had access to a lot of ground water and... an Articuno, it might be okay. It would be easier just to have my Ryhorn charge the wall.

"water seeps into cracks, then when it freezes it actually expands unlike other things that get cold and forces the cracks wider. fill enough cracks and freeze them at the same time and things fall apart real fast. so try to keep it on the floor while we are in here" answers Dave

that's assuming the wall is in good shape to start with and your rhyhorn is healthy its just another tool in the bag of tricks

Mueki just stays silent for a moment, then says, "...Okay. I just meant if we have to cross a canal Punipuni could freeze the top." Said Pokemon gave a bark, recognizing his name.

"I still don't see why we'd ever do something besides dig under the wall. If we have to collapse it, sapping it from below is the smart way to do that."

[Kairose]

As you travel through the sewers, attempting to follow the Steelix's path, you eventually run into a group of Grimer blocking your way. They don't seem like they're going to get out of the way on their own any time soon.

"I think now is a good time to try that Ice bridge idea Mueki" says Dave as he calls out biter at F3 who is immune to being poisoned. which is a good trait to have should the grimer turn hostile.

[Darchias]

Mueki nodded and commanded, "Puni, make an ice bridge across the water!" Punipuni grinned and used his Freezer capability, frosting over the water thoroughly. She also released Dokumi and held him, ready to have his String Shot assist their retreat.

Blake scans one of the Grimer and watches carefully, getting ready to cross the bridge. Celeste, be ready to move if they turn aggressive.

Collin will call out Coatlicue, who should be more than capable of handling things should they turn hostile. He'll scan a grimer as Mueki forms the ice bridge.

[Kairose]

The Grimer don't seem to care about you at the moment, and Punipuni manages to freeze a path across the sewage without problem. One of the Grimer in the back releases a cloud of poison gas, but Punipuni and Growler managed to avoid it, and Biter and Coatlicue are unaffected. The rest of the group is outside of the gas's area.

Punipuni's Freezer froze a portion of the sewage
Grimer 4 used Poison Gas, but missed all targets.

Mueki moved to the ice and glided across, hoping the ice was solid enough for her slight build. Punipuni, completely unaffected by the icy terrain, happily rolls across, following her. "I don't think there's any reason to engage. I'm out of Pokeballs anyway..."

Mueki moves to H4 then slides across the icy terrain, coming to a stop on F9. This assumes I can slide in a fashion that is not one of the eight compass directions and can go east by northeast. Punipuni just rolls to F10.

Collin will move to the foot of the icy bridge and say, "The rest of you get across first. I'm heavier than y'all are and if it's gonna break, it'd probably be me. I'll be fine."

Coatlicue glares at the one who spat the poison gas out and hisses at it in warning.

Blake nods, and sends Celeste across the bridge first before following himself. Lux floats across above an unfrozen section of the water.

Dave first has grower cross and stay away from the reach of the grimers gas before crossing himself alone.

The grimer don't seem to react as you cross the frozen sewage. Another grimer expels gas, but it only reaches Biter.

Grimer 1 used Poison Gas, but Biter is immune.

Mueki has a good bead on the radius of the Poison Gas now and goes against the far wall to attempt to avoid it. She simply walks northward with Punpuni, ready to make another ice bridge should it become necessary.

Now that it's clear, Collin will cross the bridge and head to G9. He'll recall Coatlicue when he's safely on the other side.
