You have 20 minutes to waste before your pokemon are healed and so you've continued your search for items. You found a regular Pokeball repair kit for ^1,250 and a Deluxe version (+2) for ^1,750. Finding a cheaper one, however, has been fruitless. You did manage to find a Flashlight for ^50. It's rechargeable if held by a Pokemon with Zapper capability or plugged into a wall socket. Apricorns still cost ^150, but that's probably because someone else picked them and sold them to the Mall.

You two make your way to the Pokecenter and the Chansey indicates that it will be 20 minutes for your 4 pokemon to be healthy again. While you're waiting Dave comes and collects his pokemon and continues along his way with a wave. Is there anything you want to do while you wait?

"Yeah, both of mine had a massive advantage against him offensively. Still, that's a very nice 'mon you have there. I suspect a lot of other trainers would have trouble even hurting it at our level of experience. However, the local gym is focused on dark types, so I'd caution against using him there."

While he waits, Collin will scan the chansey, eat one of his rations he has with him and will off one to Blake. He's content to pass the time eating and chatting.

Nodding, Blake says, "I'll keep that in mind. But really, I'm more interested in one specific move it has. Normally, it transfers some of its own injuries to an opponent. But I don't think there's any reason it couldn't work in reverse, taking on another's pain to ease the suffering of others. Even if Varen wouldn't do it himself, I can borrow his power and use the ability once he learns to do so."

As Collin offers the rations, Blake shakes his head, saying, "Thanks, but I ate earlier. Oh, if we're going to meet for breakfast, we could meet at my hotel."

"Sounds fine to me. Afterwords, let's head to the gym so you can meet the people there. From what I've met, they're great folks."

Nodding, Blake replies, "Sounds like a plan. If it's a Dark-type gym, maybe they'll be able to give me a bit of advice for working with Celeste... I plan on evolving her into an Umbreon when I have the chance." Blake types out a quick message to Dave on his P-Gear, mentioning that they can meet at the hotel for breakfast at 8 AM, and providing the location.

"I have to say, I am somewhat jealous that you've already captured another 'mon. Ganga is awesome and I dearly love her addition to my team, but there's a thrill of catching it yourself that just isn't there when you are given the 'mon."

Blake smiles, and answers, "Really, it was a lucky throw. Hadn't even hit him at all, just chucked the ball at him and got him."
