    It's quite a walk but eventually you and Firemane reach the North Park. Ahead of you the mall towers 50 storeys into the sky. It's lit up so bright that you can't seem to look directly at it from so close.

    Inside the mall you're greeted with a smile and breeze of recycled air. There's a pleasant, orange flavored smell to it. A large sign indicates that this is the Directory and Returns floor. You can see walls of elevators and stairwells leading up to the other floors. A particular set of red elevators seemed to be direct to the Pokecenter and back.

    You take one of these elevators and soon find yourself in a red and white decorated place. There is an open spot at the counter and the Chansey hands you a tray with indentations meant for pokeballs. But seeing that Firemane isn't to be kept in a pokeball the Chansey scowls at you and presses a button on the counter. A panel opens up and she beckons the Ponyta in through a door. She points you at a sign that signifies it'll be a 15 minute wait.

    It's now 6:30 PM and you're feeling hungry. What will you do now?

    You and Firemane walk west, through the Boardwalk Market and the crowds inherently there and reach Beach Street. To your left is a pristine beach lit up with lights and a few determined people sitting on towels. On your right is a series of hotels, each offering the same price for one person: ^750 a night. This includes dinner and breakfast, which reminds you that you're starving.

    It's now 7:25 PM you are very hungry.

    The guard accepts your money and leads you through a well lit tunnel and down a pathway leading north. Soon you take a turn to the right and a large lot of land has been sectioned off for campers and tents of all kinds. He leads you to an empty lot and bids you goodnight from there. After the guard leaves, while you're setting up your tent, you hear a rustling in the bushes. After a minute a small brown and green-spotted mushroom comes out of hiding.

    "oh hello there little guy" dave starts scanning the pokemon "do you want to come closer? I have food" dave sets down his lit flash light in the mushrooms direction so he can still see it and reaches into his bag for a herb ration.

    The mushroom doesn't seem to trust you and makes no move towards the food. While you wait for it to act, your pokedex function beeps and informs you you're looking at a Shroomish. Along with it's listed information, it explains that it doesn't eat plants and instead absorbs sunlight.

    It's 8:50 PM right now. (Miscalculation earlier means you reached the guard station at 8:30 instead of 8:00.)

    "oh you don't eat this stuff huh? well me neither, but how about this" dave adjusts the focus and brightness on his flashlight to make it more concentrated and shines it towards the shroomish(with out blinding the little guy of course) "do you like it? If you do it will work better if your closer to it" dave tries to egg the shroomish closer and gain its trust

    You pay up and are lead to a decent room on the second floor. The hotel staff is a little skittish around Firemane, but no one approaches you about it. A meal is brought up after you order and it finally satisfies that hunger. By the time you turn in for the night, it's 8:00 PM and Firemane is curled up on the floor, her flames dim.

    Mika decides to take the guard's advice and heads to the Gym. Keahi walked beside her seeming very proud of himself. Mika smiles patting him on the head.

    You and Keahi go through the mall and north through the park. As you follow the guard's directions you eventually find the Gym nestled between a large Arena and the local Trainer's Academy. Most of the streetlights here are dimmer, giving the Gym a shadowy appearance. Once inside you see two trainers talking behind a desk. The girl looks up at you and asks "Are you here to challenge the gym? Or were you looking to join up?"

    Keahi's smokescreen forms a thick wall between the two combatants but that doesn't stop the small grey dog from throwing in a decent tackle. He hits the Cyndaquil through the smoke for 15 Damage after defenses. But Keahi's Flame Body caused the opponent to be burned, and it lost 2 HP.

But the opponent was not out yet and it released an ear shattering howl that causes shivers to race down your spine. It's burn still seems to affect it, but with the smoke hanging in the air, it seemed very aggressive.

    Keahi's attack strikes true through smoke and the grey dog collapses under the pain. Your Pokedex beeps with information on the Poochyena you just beat as Fred recalls him. "Close fight. Not many would keep their pokemon fighting after taking that much damage." He leads you into another room that had around five trainers busy training their pokemon. You are able to scan Vullaby, Murkrow, Houndour and Sandile before Fred offers you a pokeball. "All gym trainers need one Dark type pokemon to properly represent the gym. Our in house breeder is on a dog kick lately so we have a bit of a surplus here. This Houndour should complement your Cyndaquil quite well. Our breeder bolstered it's defensive capabilities a bit and made up for it's Modest nature."
