Second, I finally figured out what to do with my power. I will make a killing in Smoke Ring blowing contests. Seriously, who else can blow smoke in the shape of the alphabet?

wouldnt it make more sense to be a firefighter?
in addition to smoke inhalation being the primary cause of injury from fires, you could almost instantly put out any fire by forcing the smoke around anything burning, suffocating it.

you'd actually be a hero!

Maybe so, but that makes it the only truly heroic aspect of the power, which is still far less useful than being to control the fire itself.

Well, I think I'm over powered for LUTAS, and maybe for the KSS also. My power could be "unplesant, immoral or extremely destructive" so I could qualify for the BPC.

Or ... I could sell my services to all three under different psuedonyms!! And make myself so useful to each that even if they found out, I would be too valuable to lock up or kill!

It's also something that nobody outside of this thread is aware of. Most people are going to look at it and think "what on Earth does 'LUTAS' mean?" There are also plenty of webcomics out there that are about dull or useless superheroes, so you'd be entering an over-saturated market.

While a pretty nice power, there are powers that give you instantly any power there is, teach you anything there is to learn and complete control over everything.
And I´m fairly sure someone already has gotten lucky and has drawn Omniarch or similar making him/her effectively the god of this universe ^^

Magnetic Projectile --> Not bad. My first thought was Magneto and he's considered one of the most powerful mutants, I think. So I think I'll be okay. And also a supervillain. You can't give me all that power and not expect me to go evil.

At first you're all like "Hey, that's pretty handy. You could totally fight bad-guys!" But then I point out I'm not immune, and I can't control the disease. So sure, I can give Joker the Wooping Cough, but I'll kill all of Gothem(Including Myself) before I save it

I got Disease Mimicry. Which was kind of confusing when I first read it, but apparently I'm Alex Mercer. So, uh, yeah. No LUTAS for me.

It seems like we have the same power...sorta. If I can create new diseases, together we'd be pretty awesome!

I got Technologica Assimilation, which is kinda col. I could absorb a computer into my brainn maybe fix my faulty memory. My power really depends on the technology I have access to, but I don't see it as being supremely powerful. Perhaps I'm slightly too powerful for LUTAS.

My roommate got Telempathy. Apparently she can make people feel what she's feeling? And read emotions. It says things like Love, Hate, and Rage manipulation are subsets, but the power seemed worded in that she can project emotions rather than change them. Regardless, I believe she'd like to apply for LUTAS. She can... nullify a crowd of disgruntled iphone seekers?

3. How extensive is your power?: I can: Stop time, rewind/fastforward time while it's stopped. Mess with the nature of causality.
4. Is it really less impressive than Aquaman?: I could probably destroy Superman on a bad day, so no.
5. Are you sure?: Do I HAVE to answer this?

Possibly successful Villain application:
1- Is your power unplesant, immoral or extremely destructive? Unfortunately, no :(
2- Have you got enough self-restraint to use it responsibly? Probably not.
3-Really? *snorts* You're asking the guy who couldn't believe that the vial labeled "do not drink or you will gain time-bending powers" would do so?

1. Even if you used your power to help others, would it end up hurting them?Time Paradoxes. They give me headaches, and cause people's heads to explode.

2. Do you possess the self control to use this power safely? Depends. I'd probably use it to piss everyone off.

3. Despite your wanting to help, are you still a threat just by existing? Yes. Interfering with the nature of causality is very bad.

4. Would your power be considered "evil" (so to speak)? Nah, just morally ambiguous.

Honestly, I could probably kick the butt of the omnisc-whatever guy.

But, power 2: Trading Card Game mastery! FEAR ME WHEN I PLAY MAGIC THE GATHERING! I CAN STOP TIME, LOOK AT YOUR HAND, AND THEN RANDOMLY TOPDECK THE EXACT CARD I NEED!

I'd say if you had the power to manipulate time, you'd still be as strong as normal (i.e., flimsy and fleshy). You'd just have the advantage of being able to slow time as per usual. The only thing that could let you beat Superman is a healthy quantity of Kryptonite, and he can fly faster than the speed of light.

Speaking of which, he did time travel in Superman. He flew around Earth at the speed of light, effectively following a law of physics that requires when something travels at a specific speed faster than light, moves faster than time. Eventually, they can actually bypass the concept of time, allowing them to move against the fabric of the past.

Yes, this is a real thing. It's how FTL travel works. You get there effectively as you leave, should the distance be close enough.
