Re: Serpentine's Secretly Sapphic Salacious Sacrarium of Random Banter #180
I'm not really flaunting it. I just mentioned it again once because it was a joke I thought would fit in well. I only ever even say Time Goddess when I need it to explain why I'm saying the things, because I don't want it to be taken seriously.
And now I'm reminded of that first episode of The Guild. LaLa, you are forbidden from moving into my house because of what I have said on RB. Is that clear?
Not that I would know.
I just started doing it because everyone seems to make assumptions based on age, and people had started asking, so I decided to make it a joke. I'm not uncomfortable either, I just don't say it unless I can trust folks not to go around assuming that I will act as is stereotypical for my age.
Why do you care so much? It's just my age, if you dislike the joke, you can ignore it. I hate the pun sessions we have (had? It's been a while), so then I just skip over those posts. If you genuinely dislike it becuase you want to find out my age THAT much, then... oookay, slightly creeped out.
Interesting.
If only you avoid irritating people who want to find out, becuase then they might get mad at me for starting it, and god knows, I can't handle any more reasons to be an outcast on the forum.
I keep checking, no one is ever there!
Hmm. WE MUST ALL BE INVISIBLE!
COBBBRAAA
You don't know my actual age, big deal. The only thing I can think of being a problem is seeing the post referencing it, but sometimes there are jokes on the internet you wont find funny. Happens all the time. Apologies if I started one of them.Spoiler: This signature is a historical relic from a long-ago time of regular forum activity.Aww man! There was a vending machine at my university in which the dispenser would sometimes get stuck. With a few minutes of work by reaching up through the dispenser, you could unstuck it and retrieve the paid for candy.
Obviously you want to avoid killing yourself for a candy bar.

Hahahahahhahaha. That's funny. Real funny. I don't give two craps about your age. I find the fact that the so called "gag" hasn't worn out it's welcome annoying.
And if I could ignore things, my life would be much, much easier.
It's not too obvious to about 2 people per year since 1978.

I have finally commissioned the velvet blazer haunting my dreams for several years now. It will be ready the end of September. It giddies me like a can of peaches.

Re: Serpentine's Secretly Sapphic Salacious Sacrarium of Random Banter #180
Playing devil's advocate here and saying she COULD be implying a lolicon.
If I had ever seen The Guild I'm sure I'd fine this reference funnier then I do. Ah well, I still DO find it funny XP
As an aside, since it's been mentioned, a Church of Transformation would worship a trinity of Primus, Optimus, and The Matrix. The way it works is that Primus is the God analog, Optimus is the son analog, and The Matrix is the spirit analog. It's actually all worked out quite well, to a startling degree. We even had a Judas, but our Judas is a gignatic flaming death tank.

You commission clothes? Wow. But that sounds really awesome. And hat analogy should be put in a museum.
Also, I just noticed your sig has one of my favorite poems quoted in it. You rock.Spoiler: This signature is a historical relic from a long-ago time of regular forum activity.Aww man! Even all the witty self referencing sigs are gone now!

Re: Serpentine's Secretly Sapphic Salacious Sacrarium of Random Banter #180
So an interesting thing is happening to me here at college, somewhat similar to Tragic Comedian's earlier complaint. I came back to my dorm room to find a phone number written on my whiteboard. When I texted the number to see who wrote it, the person on the other end (who we'll call Jane Doe) said that she hadn't written her number on any whiteboards. So I deleted the number from my phone and thought that was the end of it. Today, however, one of her "friends" called me and told me that "Jane" was interested in meeting me. However, as soon as I told this "friend" that I doubted the veracity of her statements, seeing as the number had been written without Jane's knowledge, the "friend" hung up on me. How do I proceed from here? Also, Tragic Comedian, how did your similar situation pan out?

Re: Serpentine's Secretly Sapphic Salacious Sacrarium of Random Banter #180
Troubles? Nah, I assume that the morning after I take my flight certificate (which is a thing that's going to happen, I can't let it be any other way), I'll wake up hanging upside down in a random conifer tree with no recollection of how I got there. That, or as a fine red spatter on Kebnekaise's mountain side...
There are countries with even longer copyrights than the US? I mean, Disney...
Yeah, this is mostly true, although I liked Animal Farm when we read it in English class...Last edited by Teddy; 2012-08-23 at 06:00 PM.

Re: Serpentine's Secretly Sapphic Salacious Sacrarium of Random Banter #180
The 'friend' was doing the college equivalent of writing someones phone number on a bar bathroom wall with the words "for a good time call...."
Don't take it personally and let it drop, is my suggestion.
Or if you think you can wing it, call the number and suggest that their friends are words I can't use on this forum, and that they should hang out with you instead.

MoonCat is obviously 31 years old. Or will be at some point in the future, at least.
I find it amusing that Atlantean still don't know my age, though.

Re: Serpentine's Secretly Sapphic Salacious Sacrarium of Random Banter #180
Yeah, it all depends on how I feel in the cockpit. If it's more like when I'm driving a car, then you won't have to worry, but if it's more like when I'm on a bicycle, then I can't guarantee anything.
That said, when I get myself a flight certificate, I would probably like to spend a summer just flying around the Earth and spend more time in the air than on the ground. Even the most monotone taiga is more interesting to study from the air than most of the regular tourist-y things you can do here on the ground.
Given, I'd need quite a large plane if I wish to do it intercontinental, and I don't dare thinking about the fuel costs. Or the amount of paperwork involved in doing a thing like that, for that matter.Clouddreamer Teddy by me, high above the world, far beyond its matters...

Re: Serpentine's Secretly Sapphic Salacious Sacrarium of Random Banter #180
Yha, completely understandable. Best way to do it I think is to find some excentric billionare and ask him to create a "around the world in 80 days" esque documentry.
Also from what I've heard it's more like driving a car. As long as you're safe though, I care about you man.
