Despite being swung at, Axile manages to somehow see a small ripple in the air and moves out of the way at the last second. Unfortunately, the swings came sooner than expected, and he doesn't have a chance to get off his spell. Instead, he now continues to wait, waiting for the right time.

This post is made given that the light is gone once more, but so is the darkness.

Ori says she can kill them if she can see them, so time to see if we can't reveal them.
Mariel jaunts back another 10 feet, before casting a spell of light, and cracking another sunrod, hopefully, dispelling the darkness, and returning the light to the room.

[Tharione]

A twenty foot radius around mariel becomes filled with light, ten feet away from her is a golden haired man in fine silver chain armor wielding a fine silver great sword. A faint golden glimmering can be seen around the edges of his frame.

Ori promptly charges in from the darkness yelling as she brings down her burning scimitar with both hands upon the figure. Her blade wedges into the mans shoulder before she pulls it free. He clutches at the shoulder in shock, appearing dazed by what just happened.

Axile senses an attack upon himself, he steps back and casts a spell in that direction.

Axile grits his teeth. Would nothing work on these foes? What was one to do in a situation like this!?

But suddenly there is light! Axile takes a moment to get use to the bright light. But he realizes, this is what they need! Of course! He immediately moves towards the man, and into the light.

Aaaaand then Ori rushes in and cuts him! Was this man a foe? Axile didn't think so, his light would of easily ruined the enemies plans.

"Ori, are yo0u sure this man is an enemy? I mean, he just banished away their annoying darkness!"

A man with a stitched mouth charges from the darkness at Axile, he is covered in glittering dust.

The one that ori strikes continues to be knocked off-balance by her hits. And is dazed.

Axile gasps in pain as a giant slash appears on his back from the attack. The wound looks quite deep as blood gushes out from it.

*Swosh*

Axile could feel it. His entire body going numb. He looked down to see a blade being pull out from right over his heart. And in that instant, he knew there was nothing he could do. His only regret was not having regained his powers...... And perhaps avenging his old master..........

He collapses on the floor.

The elemental immediately rushes the man who just stabbed his master. Without commands from his master, the elemental starts assaulting the man, with no apparent tactics.

Axile is down. Not good. Need to get them off of him, and give him some cover. Hopefully, he can survive this.

Mariel casts cloud of bewilderment, getting both enemies, the elemental, and Axile

The one who was already dazed seems nauseated.
Ori growls in frustration when axile falls, and moves around to hit the one who's not nauseated. Knocking him to the floor with the force of her blow. Where he lies still and bleeds.

The nauseated one moves off into the darkness.

Axile remains on the floor, and feels the last of his life slowly draining. Visions flash through his eyes; of his master, of his failures, of that experiment, and his weakness. Looking back on it, he can't help but feel as though a failure. 'If only I had tried harder......'

His element is still without commands, however. Not understanding that the man on the ground is dying, it simply lifts up what appears to be an armo of swirling clouds and lightning, and slams it into the man, with quite a bit of force. Sparks fly from the assault.

Afterwards, the elemental remains by his masters side, ready to assault any who come near.

Mariel heads towards the darkness, trying to follow the disappearing fellow.
If she sees him, she will try to wall him in with wall of stone(dc 25)

Mariels spell trap the man within a hemisphere of stone.
Ori rapidly unwinds the bindings from her left hand, revealing deeply tanned skin with spiraling black and red tattoos. she tears off the strip of cloth and uses it to bind Axiles wounds, stopping his bleeding.

the only pitch darkness now seems to be centered on the fallen foes body, you can once again see the fair amount of the main chamber from the sunrods light.

"Ori, thank you for taking care of him. I don't have any means of healing at present. Axile, that hit looked like it hurt. A lot. Are you going to be all right?"

Mariel speaks, she is checking the downed enemy, trying to determine what he has, and any other information that she can.

[Tharione]

The fallen one is dead. His mouth is stitched like the previous one. He appears human with blond hair and golden eyes.
he has a dark tinted greatsword and silver dagger, both of masterwork craftsmanship. He also has a ring, a masterwork chainshirt, a lantern, and 3 vials of a foul smelling black substance.

"I'll not let another companion die if theres anything in my power i may do to stop it. My belts powers of healing will not return until dawn"

[Archmage1]

"Understood. Why don't you go to the prison I made, and keep watch for that fellow's attempts at escaping? I don't think we will go much further this day, as we have no healing for Axile."

Mariel tries to identify the potions using spellcraft(auto success). She also places the items into her backpack, for later examination. once that is done, she checks on Axile, before heading over to the stone prison.

"Do you think he has suffocated yet?"

[Tharione]

they aren't potions. Spellcraft tells you nothing about them.

"I have heard nothing from within, certainly has by now if he didn't escape somehow."

[Archmage1]

"In that case, do you feel like breaking the wall?"

[Tharione]

She cracks her knuckles
"It would be my pleasure."

She cracks the stone with a well placed kick and chips away at it with similar blows until a small hole appears. Lightning almost immediately strikes the square she's in, she tumbles out of the way with uncanny reflexes, unharmed.

Axile slowly gets up, still wobbly from the blood loss. His face is quite pale, and it's obvious it's strenuous for him to stand. His eyes seem distant and cold.

"Let...... Let my elemental go. He'll shock him until he's gone....." Axile says between labored breaths. It no longer carries the vigor it use to have.

The elemental moves up to the small opening, and with a shower of sparks proceeds to shock the foe within to submission.

Mariel casts a spell, filling the stone hemisphere with toxic poison. There is coughing and cursing from within as a sword hacks at the stone wall briefly before an audible thump is heard and a clanging as the sword clatters to the floor.

"Well, that takes care of that. Time to wait for that fog to clear, before we open that hole a bit wider."

Mariel proceeds to wait for the cloudkill to clear.

[Tharione]

It takes several minutes.

"If he survived that, it would be a miracle. Do you care to try again, Ori?"

[Tharione]

She swiftly reduces half of the hemisphere to a pile of rubble half burying a mans corpse.

"He was remarkably resilient. Do you recognize him, or his organization?"
As she is speaking, Mariel is searching, and examining the body.

your search finds a ring, a lantern, an ornate silver greatsword, a mithril chainshirt, some gloves, some more black liquid, a holy symbol, and an amulet.
you recognize the man as lesser aasimar.

"They look as i was told Ansaris descendants would. But the people who guard this place would never use such cowardly tactics and would have allowed me passage."

Ori helps Axile to his feet, supporting him under his arm.

[Archmage1]

"So, the question then becomes: What happened? If these are the original guardians, are they under some sort of control? Or has their order been corrupted by something? Do you recognize the holy symbol? I think this was the one casting spells of darkness."

Mariel places the items into her pack once more, for later identification.
