"I am capable of continuing. Axile, how do you fare?"

[bindin garoth]

"I'll admit, I'm not in the greatest condition at the moment. My wounds are starting to bother me." As he says that, he motions to several deep cuts along his torso and arms, which had opened up due to the fight. His breath does seem slightly labored, but he's trying to hide that from them the best he can.

"It is your choice then. Do we rest, or do we continue?"

Ori also awaits his answer.

I'd feel better if we had a quick rest. Besides, it'll let us go forth on a fresh foot."

Axile says, as he prepares another casting of his rope trick.

Everyone rests for 8 hours.
Ori does not sleep, instead dividing her attention between examining the orb, maintaining her equipment, and watching for foes beneath the extra dimensional space.

The period of rest otherwise passes uneventfully.

"Now that you are in somewhat better shape, Axile, shall we move on?"

Mariel's persisted spells are still active, and I will update her memorized spells later

Ori tumbles down from the extradimensional space to the floor below.

Mariel jumps down, relying on speed and reflexes rather than climbing down the rope.

[Tharione]

Ori beckons everyone to follow and heads back into the vault, holding the gate stone aloft.

Once everyone enters the vault once more there is a a sound of stone grinding on stone as the far wall gives way, stone brick by stone brick. Falling not down but backward into a slowly growing inky void, surrounded on all around by a radiant shimmering. The hole in the wall grows to a ten foot radius shere, consuming much of the wall and room and stopping just short of where Ori stands. The portal at last stabilizes at the light from your equipment pours through, illuminating a place much like the vault in which you stand. Save for its state of disrepair.

Ori appears pleased and gives you both a glance before stepping though.

The chamber appears to be mostly in disrepair, soil pours through large holes in the walls and accumulates in large piles beneath them.

on the far wall of the room is a humanoid statue with outstretched hands. Dangling from these hands is a necklace of some sort. on the left side of the room is what appears to be a tunnel, carved from the earth by hand. on the right is a natural crevasse.

Mariel looks around, trying to see if there is any active magic in the area.

"Anyone know where we are?"

There is a slight stirring of rock near the right side of the room, the side with the more natural-looking tunnel, and you hear a voice echo out; though you cannot place where exactly it comes from. The voice is that of a woman, and it has an elvish lilt to it.

"Are you sane? That is, are you rational, reasoning, sentient beings that can hold conversation? Because I'll be honest, at this point I'd be willing to work with drow and goblins if they could help me get out of this place. You're on the Elemental Plane of Earth, if that helps."

Genuinely surprised and hopeful, but tempered with extreme wariness and suspicion. Not looking for a fight.

You hear a light laugh, perhaps slightly rough from disuse, before the voice continues. "I would call that curiosity, not madness, and I'm sure you had reason to do so beyond what you're telling me. Which is alright, of course; you just met me.

As for revealing myself... as much as I know you can lie, I'd like to hear it straight from you. If I come out of hiding, will you attempt to harm, enchant, trap, or otherwise do unto me as you would not have done to yourselves?"

Not trying to be difficult here, but she's a very cautious person.

"So long as you agree to similar conditions, that sounds reasonable."

"We won't harm you." Axile says to the new voice. Truly, he was surprised to find someone else here.

And the Elemental Plane of Earth? Why did the portal take them there. Curious, to say the least. Then again, he supposes the fragments could of been put anywhere.

There is a faint movement, and a lean, graceful elf moves out of the rocks about twice as close to you as you would have expected. Her long hair is the color of oak, and she is wearing hunter's gear, all leather and muted greens, though it's hard to see all of that from the healthy layer of dirt and dust she's covered in. She has several healing wounds on her arms and a long cut on her face that seems to have been made quite recently.

Still, her grip on her longbow is strong and she has an arrow loaded, though it is pointed down to the ground and the string is not taut. She takes a moment to look you all over before speaking again. "You came through that portal, right? Does the portal go both ways? I've been here for much longer than I like, and I'm not the biggest fan of stumbling around in shifting caverns killing earth elementals for no reward."

Impressive. I thought I had fairly decent eyes, but she was able to hide easily. It also looks like she has been in a fight fairly recently, and she was hiding. I think she lost that fight. Fun.

Mariel looks over the strange elf, before replying
"The portal may or may not be open. However, we came here for a reason. Would you be willing to help us with that? Afterwards, we will probably be leaving this plane, and you are welcome to come along. Ori, could you tell us which way to go? And could you please tell us your name? I am Mariel, the man is Axile, and the woman in the bandages is Ori."

The elven archer takes another moment to look you all over after the group is introduced, linking face to name. She relaxes her posture, and takes the arrow off her string, putting it back into the rather full quiver on her back.

"You may call me Lyrie, of Lothellas. And I'm in decent shape, and I'd be happy to help; for a cut of whatever you're doing the job for, of course. Give me that and some water, and I'll stay in this hellhole a little longer.

I'm a mercenary by trade, and the wizard that sent me out here to the Elemental Plane of Earth didn't do a spectacular job of giving me a way back. That job is scrapped now, and there's no sense in going this far out of my way and going home empty-handed. Now, what exactly are you three trying to accomplish here?"

"They are wrappings not bandages, but that aside. I am Ori Al'Kasaar, and we were once many more than three. What we seek is not for those we have just met to know. You may know that we seek to prevent a great tragedy from befalling our world, if such is not enough to motivate you I promise you only a fair share of the fortune of my family should we succeed. As well as a portion of whatever belongs to anyone foolish enough to get in our path."

Ori looks to Mariel

"Our path is clear to me..." she looks toward the left exit tunnel, the one which does not contain the newcomer. "... much as if i had walked it a dozen times. What might lie in wait upon it is not."

Lyrie raises her brow in interest and amusement, but she does not argue with Ori. "That sounds sufficiently mysterious and important that I'm willing to stick around to get the whole story out of you. Or, well, perhaps not out of you," she indicates Ori, "but one of those two will probably tell me sooner or later."

She looks back down the tunnel from whence she came, shaking her head slightly, and then she crosses the room to the more manufactured tunnel. "This isn't like anything I've seen on the Plane of Earth, and I've seen quite a lot of rock and rock formations here. Give me a moment to look at this more closely."
