Well, having sated my curiosity I'm probably not the dragon for you. Can't physically talk. Psychically, yes, but I've yet to find a psychic phone. Good luck, though.

Re: [Nexus] The Wall III: Wall Harder
Well, that's honestly not hard; having someone talk for me is what we usually do. But I admit it could get a little annoying. So tell you what: if you really need help with this and can't find anyone with a simpler arrangement, call us. Tell the guy who picks up that his dragon talked to you.

Re: [Nexus] The Wall III: Wall Harder
I'm doing the same things I do every night, Wall-E.
Establishing contingencies, modifying my final will and testament, preparing lines of defense, empowering my strengths, shoring up my weaknesses, plotting, planning, scheming, ingesting illicit substances, cavorting about with multiple women at the same time, watching a personification of sex go to battle against Watchtower in a fur bikini, getting into brawls I can't possibly win, getting philosophical, and trying to take over the world.

Re: [Nexus] The Wall III: Wall Harder
Is that right rustface? Good job, I half expected you to not plan at all. Or could be lying to me and proving the rumors of how incredibly lazy you are correct. You take over the world? When was the last time you took over anything? AMEN is not doing anything, you're not doing anything, no one is. You're all too afraid of Remnant and HALO.
Now, a question for all of you. The Nexus is kept in check by Remnant, and the acknowledgement that those two forces are powerful keeps the people in check, and the small villains small. Now, and just think about this, what would happen if they didn't exist?
And Day, huh? A week? Oh...I thought we were waiting a while...well, correction Maggy. A week.[/B]Last edited by Hattish Thing; 2013-03-12 at 08:23 PM.

Re: [Nexus] The Wall III: Wall Harder
You think the Nexus is held in check by Remnant?
Really?
And you think there'd be chaos, mass hysteria, dogs and cats sleeping together if they didn't exist?
Man, you really are new here.

Re: [Nexus] The Wall III: Wall Harder
Oh! All of this nonsense just reminded me of something! Reinholdt has clones now. Long story, not important.
What is important is the bounty I'm putting on his head(s). Sixty gold per dead/alive apoca-cat outside MagCave's turf, plus expenses, within reason. No swiping any of the corpses I ventilated myself and trying to pass them off as your own, I'm not falling for nonsense like that. I figure, even with his treasure hordes and all, he's still got finite resources, so it'd only be a matter of time before his clone supply runs out. Happy hunting, Nexus!

Re: [Nexus] The Wall III: Wall Harder
Nexus governments and law enforcement agencies tend to serve the purpose of mitigating events rather than being able to prevent them outright. It's unfortunate that more isn't done, but it's better than the alternative of letting things run rampant until the vigilantes finish it. So, yes, Remnant does keep things in check-in Inside alone. Much like the Riverside governments do in their city.
Anyone who claims they are totally irrelevant and make no difference ought to remember that people outside little superpowered, safe circles and undersea bases exist. While it's entirely possible that many problems would be solved eventually without them, such factions mitigate the damage done to the greater population. And it's arrogant to assume everything would keep going the same way one way or another, regardless. The Nexus itself is a place of constant change, and is not so stagnant.
And if anyone says otherwise, I can point towards Remnant itself. Or more specifically, its predecessor, which proves that Inside can be taken over. It also proves that such governments can make a difference-I believe many events that took place during its existence would have been much worse without it, such as the multiple invasion attempts it repulsed.
And if you still act like Remnant or its predecessor or any such faction is irrelevant, then you destroy any moral high ground you have. Because calling them that is the same thing as calling every life they saved irrelevant.
They do help keep things in check, whether you arrogantly refuse to believe it or not.Avatar by Ashen Lilies.

Re: [Nexus] The Wall III: Wall Harder
Oh, there's no denying they're a force for good and law and order Inside, no question there.
But "the Nexus" as a whole?
Riverside would beg to differ, and that's just for starters.

What, you think Remnant's going to protect him? Reinholdt, of all people? Pfft. MagCave's outside any government or acronym organization's jurisdiction, too.

Re: [Nexus] The Wall III: Wall Harder
Ah. Then yes, they are limited in that sense. I suppose I've seen the opposite argument too many times. The idea that they do affect more than just Inside now probably stems from their origin with the Empire.
As for the issue of Reinholdt, I'm not protecting him.Avatar by Ashen Lilies.

Re: [Nexus] The Wall III: Wall Harder
I've heard of what Reinholdt did, that he was the cause of some vague apocalypse. Who he is and what he's done are irrelevant. I'm talking about you. The Magcave (EGO) may be outside of Remmies Jurisdiction, but the wall is in Inside. So are most of your businesses.
They could and should do something about that, keep you from putting out illegal bounties in public places.
You idiot.
