Ilpholin shows up dressed in a very tight, rather small bikini. She couldn't really turn down this particular opportunity, even though she told herself that she was busy. >>
She heads inside pretty much right away ignoring most everything else to reach the pool.

Another person arrives as well.

The Admiral, needless to say, was just plain bored. He didn't even really have a school to run anymore. Might as well check this out. Unlike Ilpholin, he takes his time entering, examining the sculptures and art in detail as he puffs away at his cigar.

Denvark walks into the temple, rather excited. He wanders around making up stories in his head about the statues. He briefly wonders how close his story is to the one they represent. But he continues on hoping to find where this swimming event was happening.

He still wasn't sure what maple syrup is right up to seeing it. He blinks a few times then his fins flash along his sleek black body in annoyance. Looks sticky, why would anyone want to swim in that? He wonders what it is normally used for, maybe some sort of glue.

He is tempted to tip one of his freakishly long toes into the pool. But he isn't sure if he should just yet. This place seems very museum like. No touching and what not.

Denvark is a tall creature, humanoid but with a elongated head, obviously suited for living in the ocean, he has a set of fins that run up and down his body, each one a bright red with dark black spines running through them.

Sakura holds onto the communicator tightly. "You're going to be okay. We won't let anyone hurt you." The dryad looks around worriedly. Where was the owner of this place...

The naiad gets a hold of herself long enough to point at the bak door, "Through there. She's got some sort of portal or something, I don't know. I was never allowed to look." she turns back to Cessie, who she's still trying to cling to, "You take her to remnant, and I will give you the proof you need for charging her with slavery. She will not get away from this."

[Shadowcaller]

[Lefty's]

Cessie whose clothes who probably get all wet right now squirms slightly in the Naiad's grip. "Erm, if you could let me go for a moment, could you tell me what this Lefy is capable of doing? I'm intending to go into that portal of hers and convince her to turn us back unless you know for a fact it's a bad idea." She replies.

[Gullara]

Sakura bites her lip, looking toward the back exit. "Do you think that's a good idea anyway, Cessie? It could be dangerous." Who knows what's back there? And Sakura knows she's not prepared to face anything that could do her harm.

The Naiad looks Cessie in the eye and says, "if you challenge her, she'll surrender. She's obsessed with becoming a comic book villain, and she knows the heroes always win."

"Okay..." That sounded a bit too good to be true, but it was worth a try. "That sounds easy, almost too easy." All she needed to do was to bypass that alarm and then challenge the crazy person?

The sorceress turns to Sakura, while still trying to gently remove the Naiads arms from herself. "I'm confident in my own abilities, and I'm not planning to leave this place like this either." She declares, apparently figuring there is no need to gesture at their transformed bodies.

"What do you want?" Elias asks. He puts a hand out to try and stop Hekta before she can pounce.

The demon frowns but stops herself as the creature stops, staring at the two with it's empty eyes. "Friiiends?" It asks hopefully.

He sits up rubbing his eyes trying to wake up a bit more.

"Care to join me for a smoke?"

He didn't order anything before hand since he was waiting for her.

"Yes, that sounds good. You pick this time," Charity says.

The demon frowns but stops herself as the creature stops, staring at the two with it's empty eyes. "Friiiends?" It asks hopefully.

"Did you kill the dead woman?" Elias asks.

Calvin grabs the menu quickly looking it over before ordering the banana split flavor pot. He has never actually had a banana split before, but it sounds good.

"So were you able to find a copy of The Speech?"

Charity's mood brightens a little at that mention. "Oh yes, I did. It was very good. I'm glad you recommended it."

Hmmm... a mermaid and a shark. Not exactly the types Ilpholin hoped would come. Ah well, always full of surprises.

She'll wave to them both and sit by the pool, very slowly and tantalizingly dipping one leg in the syrup.

Calvin smiles just a bit, sitting up to smoke from the Hookah.

"Good, I'm glad you liked it. I gave Civil Disobedience it was actually pretty interesting."

Maahir is silent again for a moment. He seems to focus.
"I think destiny has brought me here for a reason."

Kal is the next one to arrive at the temple. He's dressed rather more simply than usual. He's lacking his gauntlets and indeed, any other (visible) weapons and instead of his usual leather he's wearing sneakers, black jeans and a tank top. Tight, of course. Would you expect anything else?
He runs an eye over everyone else who's arrived, flashing Ilpholin a sleazy grin which is abruptly cut off by a confused look at the Admiral. What the heck is a skeleton doing here?

The Admiral notes being looked at and tears himself away from the artwork, lighting up another cigar with his last one as he does so.

"Can I help you?"

Kal recovers quickly, getting his grin back to maximum sleaziness in record time.
"That depends. Are those bones just for show?"
Yes Kal, you've officially passed the 'Tsukiko threshold'.

Pavati looks around the pool room with interest. Especially toward the 'water'. She moves to the pool's edge right near Ilpholin, lies down on her front, and peers at the syrup. "Are we supposed to be able to swim in this?" She asks no one in particular.

[Lefty's]

Gesturing is definitely not needed. "Okay, Cessie." Sakura relents. She'll trust her friend's judgment.

"I think we're supposed to wrestle in it actually." Ilpholin replies.

The Admiral just stares at Kal.
"... What?"
That's a very... unusual question.

Pavati turns her head to give Ilpholin a toothy grin. "Well I guess that could be fun too, but those legs you got there might be troublesome in the wa- syrup." Silly humanoids are so ill suited for swimming.

I'm sure Irena is terrified.

"Hmmm... they make up for it in other ways." Ilpholin says, running a finger slowly up her now syrup covered leg before popping said finger in her mouth and sucking on it.
Though Ilpholin's never had trouble swimming before.

"... What?"
That's a very... unusual question.

The orc warrioresses are part of Mrs. Bloodplunder's Individual Magic Effect; they're a faint impression her soul is making as she enters a barbarian rage. They won't do anything; they can't.

Mrs. Bloodplunder's hand is caught, and she's lifted from the ground by the throat. Her response is to start kicking at the Chrysalid. Her right hand has been caught, though Mrs. Bloodplunder was wielding the flail with both hands. Her left hand lets go and she tries to grab the wrist holding her by the neck as her face pales. If that succeeds, she'll squeeze as hard as she can. Her strength has been boosted, and it may crack the Chrysalid's carapace, especially if the joint at the wrist is large- joints have a thinner exoskeleton to enable them to work.

Red Zone

Containment taken care of, Ace turns back to the scene just in time to see Mrs. Bloodplunder getting grabbed by the Chrysalid.
Really? He'd expected the darn thing to be an oozing lump on the ground after that flail-smash. Damn things were resilient.

Ace doesn't bother drawing any new cards for now. He reaches out with his right hand, and as he does so a rope made of bound-together handkerchiefs lashes out from under his sleeve. It whips through the air like a snake to attempt to curve in around the Chrysalid and bind its legs together with a series of loops.

The Chrysalid has its wrist cracked and a handkerchief rope starts to wrap around its legs. It lets out an inhuman scream and tries to toss Mrs. Bloodplunder to the wall. Depending on how strong the rope is, the Chrysalid may be able to cut through it with its razor-legs.

"Murder...is wrong, yes. I'm sorry for the misunderstanding. I thought you were talking about Witch."
"And I'm going to go and make sure she's still okay."
Hunter will hop off the building, landing nicely on his feet and letting the shock travel through his body.
And then he'll focus on keeping Witch calm. Because that's probably a good idea right now.

Iamar stands up and tries to lift Spitter to her feet, bringing her to an easy way down to the ground.

Denvark has legs and he is a great swimmer, though he really uses his feet more like one giant flipper when he is swimming most of the time.

Denvark seeing Ilpholin tasting the syurp sticks one of his fingers in it scooping some up into his mouth and takes a taste himself. Hm, that is pretty good. He wonders if it will be fun to swim in. He wanders over towards Pavati and Ilpholin.

Hello.

He projects his thoughts to them telepathically.

"Yeah, I liked this Thoreau's writing, and he seemed to have a lot of ideas. Though I will admit some of it seemed a bit naive. Simply refusing to work in a system that you don't stand for seems a bit silly to me. But I guess if you have that option it makes sense.

I also really liked when he wrote about his time in prision. Though from what I got from reading it, he didn't seem to be in there for very long."

Fettina makes her way up the somber steps, taking in the masterful sculptures as she walks. If there's one thing she can appreciate, it's a capacity for creativity. Though, making her way into the pool room, she can't seem to decide if the person who set this up is creative or simply crazy. Of course she'd read the ad, but was only half-expecting it to be serious.

"Someone's got too much time on their hands," Tina says aloud, shifting her weight to one hip and flipping her sunglasses up. She's wearing a thin, summery dress, presumably with a bathing suit underneath. The silhouette of a suitably immodest one-piece can just be made out beneath it. Her skin and eyes are very human-looking this time around.

Ilpholin pouts a little. That was such a good one too.
"Maple syrup, like the ad said."

"I've never even heard of maple syrup before." The selkie says with a silly little smile. She samples the syrup again. It's almost a little too sweet, actually, but a little is nice.

After her player changed his mind, somebody else turns up outside.

She's quite short, and slender. She is younger than she looks as her race matures faster than ours; her mental and physical development is equivalent to seventeen/eighteen. She has pale green skin, and her hair is a much darker shade of the same colour. Her ears are proportionally much larger than a human's, but not as large as most other goblin species. Just below them are a pair of gills. She's wearing a short dress made from woven waterweed, though she'll change into something else if it's provided, though she'll keep a woven waterweed band wrapped around her head over her gills; maple syrup might clog them up, and they'll need washing delicately recently.

The Chrysalid can probably cut its way through the rope, but it'll be difficult and will take more than one round. The rope reacts like a living thing, shifting, adjusting and moving with the insectoid's movements. Even as it tries to break free, the rope grows tighter and tighter in a bid to bind its legs together.

Once the Chrysalid throws Mrs. Bloodplunder aside, Ace draws another Four of Spades off the top of his deck and presses it against the rope. The playing card flares to life, sending thousands of volts of electricity crackling down the rope and directly towards the chrysalid.

Mrs. Bloodplunder manages to maneuveur herself in midair so that instead of hitting the wall and crumpling to the ground, she hits the wall with her feet and springs back, flail coming back down towards the Chrysalis' back and aided by gravity in addition to Mrs. Bloodplunder's enhanced strength and flail's enchantment for harder hits.

The good news is, not even Mrs. Bloodplunder knows how she did what she did, only that she did it; it might not be possible next time.
