Re: LGBTAitP 26: No Time For Snappy Titles
Astrella and Helio's link: that's so, so cool. Great father/son bonding experience, and equally great message. We need more dads like him in the world.
@Pair'o'Dice: many of the stories you tell about yourself in this forum amuse me so much. This is one of them.

*brings chocolate, dark chocolate to the hugs*
If it's the terminology you're talking about then - something happened to Lilac Shade, probably something related to transphobia and that caused a lot of very dark and scary thoughts. Which is why I brought very dark and comforting chocolate.Avatar by CoffeeIncluded

Re: LGBTAitP 26: No Time For Snappy Titles
Ah, thank you. Just more than a month ago, I had no idea what any of this all meant. I'm still a bit fuzzy on a couple of terms.
Also, if that's the case, Lilac needs a lot mroe *hugs*
Shame on you! Stealing poor Lilac's chocolate when she's feeling bad!

You can call me Juniper. Please use gender-neutral pronouns (ze/hir (preferred) or they/them) when referring to me.

Re: LGBTAitP 26: No Time For Snappy Titles
PairO'Dice has all the best coming out stories.
Is it just me, or do kobolds seem to fill a "whatever" slot? Ogres are big, tough, unintelligent; goblins are small, green, and some type of crafty; kobolds are... whatever the world needs. Stupid mining ratpeople, brilliant trapbuilding mini-dragons, multiheaded dogpeople...?
Hugs to those who want/need themProudly without a signature for 5 years. Wait... crap.

Re: LGBTAitP 26: No Time For Snappy Titles
Not actually multi-headed, in the 1st picture I provided, there were just 5 kobolds behind each other with their heads sticking out. They're no hydra.
But yeah, kobolds have very few universal properties. They tend to be somewhat mentally-challenged, on the short side, and fond of outnumbering their enemies (whether that strategy works is another story), but other than that, no one can agree on their general physical appearance. *shrugs*
Few other generic fantasy creatures have vague descriptions like that. There are dragons (so, SO many kinds, of all the colors of the rainbow, and more!), and the fae (which can readily be explained by their capricious and chaotic nature) that I know of, in supplement to kobolds. And trolls, too, who are territorial and are often (but not always) quite good at regeneration.
... I suppose that my conclusion is "even fantasy creatures label themselves the way they want". If kobolds want to be bipedal dogs or related to dragons, let them be. Except those invicible vampires who try to sparkle in sunlight, that is just plain wrong. Don't hog the sparkles, give them back to the fae, man.Originally Posted by on Dwarf Fortress succession gamesOriginally Posted by Dwarf Fortress 0.40.01 bugs

Re: LGBTAitP 26: No Time For Snappy Titles
I will admit to loving good romantic comedies. They can be good fun, and are one of the genres where I'll keep an eye out for real gems. Many of them are bad, but Sturgeon's Law always holds true across genre.
I favor a gay romantic comedy with a wacky straight friend.

Re: LGBTAitP 26: No Time For Snappy Titles
Things like this manhwa say a lot about our society. A bunch of guys hit on some girls and they're creeps and jerks. A horde of women attempt to forcibly romance a guy and it's sexy? What? I can't imagine that even a straight guy could be into that. People are hard to understand.
Edit: For context maybe go back a few pages.Last edited by noparlpf; 2012-08-27 at 10:16 PM.
