Hell on Wheels
I just wanted to ask anybody here who's watched it - what do you think? I was thinking about buying a first season DVD set that's on sale sometime, but I have yet to make up my mind. Any recommendations?

Re: Hell on Wheels
It's a very well made show about Reconstruction Era America. The characters and storylines are believable. Most of the characters have a chance to shine and there's a lot of character development throughout season one, which carries on to season two.

Re: Hell on Wheels
It's good, but I can never bring myself to watch more than roughly one episode a week. It's biggest flaw is that it's nothing new. We've seen the old west and post civil-war settings quite a bit through the years, and the plot revolving around a greedy (arguably) evil businessman and a drunken main character bent on revenge is nothing new.
That said, everything else about it is really good.
I just can't seem to get interested in the story, unfortunately.
