As you look around, you see a building on the other side of the courtyard that doesn't seem to match the others. First of all, it is still standing. And even more, it seems to be made of some kind of black metal and not wood or bricks like the other buildings around. It also has smoke coming out of its chimney.

The building is tall enough to be a 2 story building, doesn't have any windows that you can see, but you can only see part of it, as it is behind other buildings.

Zaavariel, weapon at the ready shrouded in his arcane defenses conjures his magical sight and proceeds to look around, focusing on the building.

He simple points at it to indicate its location to the others.

As you stand at the exit of the tunnel, you see more and more formian gather into the room that you just went through. However, they are just watching you with their weapons ready. There are now over a dozen formian at the other end of the tunnel, varying from warriors to myrmarch to taskmasters with their slaves.

"Odds are piling against a fight. I would like to point out that we are assuming very much about why they aren't following us. It's very likely we've been pushed away from something they were protecting and, being reasonable to a fault, they don't see need in wasting more of their soldiers following us... Or perhaps its part of some pact with some other party that they not walk the surface in this particular zone."

Noru troll nods. The bird on his shoulder takes off to get a good birds eye view of the surrounding area.

"Regardless, Vincent and I agree there is a tension in the air here. I am capable of teleporting myself and three others to safety should the need arise. Until that need arises i propose that nothing ventured is nothing gained, we should press on."

What your bird gathers from its aerial view:

    Bottom:
There seems to be a harbor of sorts. Some of the docks are functional, some look like they will fall apart if used. There are also some boats, which are the same, some look usable others look like they are on their last leg and may soon sink or break apart.

    Right:
There is a long stone wall, which seems to be in decent condition from your bird's point of view. The wall seems to be the outside wall of Waterdeep, on the other side there are a few paths and a large wooded area off in the distance.

    Black building:
A tall black metal building with smoke coming out of the chimney. There aren't any windows, but there is a large door on the side facing away from the outer wall (west side).

    Purple building:
Larger, intact building. There are signs on the side of the building, that your bird cannot read. There are windows that have light coming out of them, like there are lights on inside the building. There are doors on the building, on the south side (bottom).

    Green building:
Long, intact building. It also has signs on the side of the building that you bird cannot read. There are windows on the building as well as doors, both of which face the purple building (south side). Light is also coming from inside the building.

Everything else follows the legend of the other map, light brown is ruined buildings, dark brown is standing buildings. All of the doors on the brown buildings are on the south side of the buildings.

Your bird doesn't currently see any other creatures in the merchant district.

Now someone's makin some sense! The orc brings his falchion to the ready, and steps into the middle of the tunnel entrance, just outside the tunnel, as if to block the way out. He begins making kissy noises at the Formians as if calling a pet. You think we got close to their Queenie? he calls back over his shoulder.

Gale's attack hits a formian. They then begin to make some commotion.

One of the taskmasters begins to shuffles around his hands and mumbles something under his breath while looking at Krgg. Krgg then walks back up the tunnel and swings his sword at Bleerie, but misses her.

The other formian then move back into the tunnels, out of the party's line of sight.

Krgg charges down the tunnel directly at the taskmaster that was controlling him, and Krgg cuts the taskmaster’s head off. Zaavariel follows down the tunnel and sees another taskmaster to hit left, then runs towards it, swinging at it, Zaavariel cuts deep into the taskmaster’s body, killing it.

Noru and Bleerie follow the others down the tunnel, while Gale and Zipxap stand in the exit tunnel. Then Bailey appears in the room at the tunnel north of the room and slays the warrior in front of fine, turning it into a fine red mist.
