"You betcha! Confuse Ray!" The girl releases her own Vulpix, who confuses Hisei.

Aidan blinks at the sudden Vulpix mirror, before chuckling. "Not bad... this should be fun. Hisei, try and snare it with Fire Spin!" The Vulpix focuses, trying to push through her confusion to form the flaming lasso.

However the lasso collapses ontop of her. "See why I Taunted you? And not a bad plan, I like it. Fire Spin!" The other Vulpix mimic's your motions, ensnaring Hisei for 2 rounds! 10 damage on the coming round.

Nodding, Aidan says, "It is quite useful, isn't it? Still... I'm not done yet. Hisei, Energy Ball!" The Vulpix again tries to focus itself, drawing forth its energy to create the sphere.

Aidan nods, smiling sympathetically, and says, "Hey, don't worry about it... you put up a great fight. To be honest, most people would've had trouble with the Monferno, let alone your Vulpix." Taking the money, he makes his way out and heads back to the Pokemon Center.

Upon entering the Center, Aidan hands Eleara, Zex, Hisei, Saya and Xylik over to the attendant for healing, and while he waits, types out a message to the group. -Got a spare Pansear if any of you need it, you'll have to cover healing costs yourself though.- He also takes a moment to post his Koffing for trade or sale, with the following message: -Koffing for sale/trade, just captured. Any reasonable offers will be considered-

Upon receiving his mon back, he takes up the offer to head into the hotsprings, taking Eleara and Hisei with him. Once inside the hotsprings, he closes his eyes, relaxing as Elly curls up just inside the water while Hisei finds a warm rock to relax on. "Sorry about earlier, Elly... I should've been more careful with sending you into a fight like that, especially not knowing what was there. You could've..." He trails off for a moment, before forcing himself to finish the sentence, "You could've been killed. If it weren't for the others..." Sighing, Aidan says, "You know, it's been too long since we've actually had people we could rely on nearby... ever since leaving Pyrite, it's just been me and my team, and even then I only found you after leaving Orre."

He looks at the Eevee, a slightly sad look on his face as he says, "It's only going to get tougher from here... but we'll persevere - we always have, after all. And it's not like we haven't gotten new friends, either - like Hisei, here. You did great in that match, you know..." His attention on the Vulpix, he smiles widely before continuing, "That Monferno couldn't even touch you, and even when you were at a disadvantage you came through. I think we're going to do well together..." He closes his eyes, relaxing for the remainder of the hour with his companions quietly. As he exits, he inquires at the desk about the cost for staying there for the evening, before looking around for any of the other members of the group.

Feeling relaxed and newly confident, Donny returns his pokemon and pulls himself out of the hotspring. He passes Aidan and his pokemon, each content with their own cloud of steam, and re-enters the pokecenter. He shells out the ^150 for the night, and then goes to sleep in his tiny room.

Any last minute things before bed post now, otherwise post waking and doing whatever you want before heading out on the road. Leaving before 10 am would be a good idea.

Feeling disappointed, Tarna returns to the Hot springs to take a dip just before heading off to bed. She releases Nelse and Claw, wanting to give them a little attention before bed, especially the Oddish who she worried had been rather neglected. "hey you two, hope you don't mind being too much, maybe this'll make it up to you." Claw bounded into the water, splashing about merrily, whilst Nelse sat on Tarna's lap, soaking n the warmth and sunlight, his leaves immediately perking up and standing much straighter.

Ennis finishes up and heads to the same place she slept before. She goes to sleep, allowing the little Rilou to curl up next to her. In the morning, she goes and buys 5 basic balls. She tries them on the little thing, hoping to catch it this time. She also looks to see if there was a TM store in this town.

Aidan shrugs, not seeing a response from any of his allies about the spare Pansear, and posts it on the GTS before finding his own bed, providing the same message as with the Koffing: -Pansear for sale/trade, just captured. Any reasonable offers will be considered- After posting the Pokemon for trade, he promptly turns in for the night, knowing that the group will be heading out tomorrow.

Waking up in the morning, he makes a quick stop at the Pokemart to pick up some food for Xylik, after consulting his Dex to find that the Gligar is more of a meat-eater than any of his others. Stocking up for a few days, he wanders the town for a bit, keeping an eye out for any new Pokemon he hasn't scanned.

Vladmir wakes up at 6:30 AM, an old habit from his days at university. He feeds his pokemon and washes his face before heading downstairs to wait for the others.

Donny woke around 7 AM and quickly cleaned himself up in the nearest bathroom. Once his things were packed, he released Arachnia and with an effortless expenditure of will, connected with the small spider. He's greeted with, Keeper! Ride? Sure, here you go, he responded mentally to the bug pokemon. He lifted her up and held the Spinarak tight to his chest as she spun enough webbing to hold herself in place. "Let's go meet the others," Donny said quietly as he walked downstairs. As he arrived he spotted Dr. Kretznak and approached him, "Morning, Doc. No one else here?" Without really waiting for a reply, he sends a quick message to the other three, -Meet at Center. Head out as a group?-

Tarna's alarm goes off, followed by another beeping as she receives Donny's message. She gets changed quickly and heads down, briefly waving as she enters the pokemon centre, before hurrying over to enter the Pansear on the GTS: Young Pansear, strong and good with humans. Reasonable offers accepted for consideration.

The group gather's in the Center, before heading out. The day is bright and sunny, not a cloud in the sky. It was also very hot, even for being on a volcano. The route was a looping, winding rocky road that traveled back and forth on the southeastern face of Mt. Chimney, you suspect you can climb down its length by nightfall.

Aidan makes his way down the path, grimacing at the heat. "Warm day today... hope things cool off soon. Anyway," he turns towards the others, "any of you been to Mauville before, by any chance?"

'Nah, stuck closer to the coast mostly. Fortree is the furthest inland I've ever been. And we were told never to go there, even if we wanted to. A city full of electric trainers? That's the place the Team feared the most.' Ennis walked away from town with Loba riding on her shoulder, and Mar in her arms. A dark smile crosses Ennis's face. 'But I've heard they have a game corner. One I've wanted to visit for ages.' Gambling was Ennis's biggest vice ... not including the cute stuff or the smoking.

Aidan nods, and replies, "Yeah, I suppose an electric-focused town would be a bad place for water-types. The Game Corner does sound interesting, though... might have to check it out."

"Mmmm, vonce or twice," the doctor answers, his footsteps heavy as he goes downhill. His Poochyena, identified by him as "Fido", walks at his side. "Never stayed long though. Not much there but the game corner, and I vas never a gambling man."

Donny walked along with the others silently. Arachnia hung around his chest, just as she used to while he traveled the wilds of Johto. At the mention of Mauville he perked up to the conversation. As Ennis mentioned the electric types, he remembered his brother's Blitzle and how Masque tore into it. "I've never been in this area before, but I think that Masque would do well in a city of electric types."

"I've never really travelled this far before," Tarna conceeded, "I guess it'll be nice to see the sites."

As you march onwards, conversing amongst yourself, you here some thwacks from up around a bend. Peeking cautiously around the corner, you spot four pokemon, three small grey humanoids and one larger, blue humanoids. The three are standing opposite the blue one, and seem to be conversing, rather harshly.

He steps forward and commands the Spinarak on his chest, "Thread to the blue one, there. Inject him with poison." Without hesitation the small spider fires off a web and tries it's best to follow the command.

Ennis ball goes wide and rolls down the mountain, alerting the mon to your presence. Before they can react, Arcachnia thwips onto the Sawk, jabbing a leg into the Sawk's armpit, which seemed to actually hurt the fighting type, despite resistance.

Aidan looks over the small group of Pokemon, scanning one of the gray ones before pulling out a red and white Pokeball. "Alright... I'll give this a try, then. Xylik, Poison Sting one one of the smaller ones!" he orders as he flings his ball at the taller Pokemon.

Foreseeing a potential shortage of enemies, Donny whips out his Dex and scans the one the Doctor called a Sawk. Then he quickly sits down and bows his head, his body balanced in a meditative pose. Haven't done this in a couple weeks, Void take me if it doesn't work, he thinks to himself. Quickly, at the speed of thought, he sends his consciousness along the connection to his pokemon companion, leaving his unconscious body with the others.

The first thing he notices is that everyone looks a lot bigger now. The second thing is that although he expected the change to feel weird, he instinctively knows how to control the Spinarak's body. A smaller, weaker consciousness inhabits the creature with Donny, and he can feel it's... curiosity. It's okay, I'm here. We'll be okay, he assures it. As Xylik attacks, Donny instinctively throws his body backwards, away from the blue pokemon. He lands and with a slight mental command, fires off a poison sting at the nearest standing pokemon.
