Hang On To Yer Helmets: Carmageddon is Back
The classic racing/demolition derby/vehicular manslaughter simulator is back, now on iOS devices. For the rest of today, you can get it for free on the app store on any iOS device with OS 5.1 or greater. After today, price will raise to $1.99 (which is still worth it).
This is a straight port of the original 1997 game, complete with all the original graphics, sound effects, and levels. Stainless Studios, the creator, decided to re-release it because they have started work on a reboot of the series, Carmageddon: Reincarnation, which they are hoping to have out sometime next year. In the meantime, we have the mobile version to tide us over.
Also, the original game and expansion are available for download at Good Old Games for $10.
