Because adults don't generally want to fight against children. Unless it's a dad vs his own kids in a tickle fight.

That probably also applies to 12 year old Eon as well.

In the end, it's Harnel's call, though individual PCs may decline to fight against either child.

Yes.
A long while ago, there was a big how-to-do over an Exalted in GLoG planning on using Jamie (roughly 12-13 then) and other children as bait to take on some bad guys. And even though there wasn't very much chance of danger to the children at all, it still was generally appealed against.

I personally remember it as the only time people agreed with Rein and Tobias on something.

Because it's dangerous. Because most mammals have a strong instinct to protect young creatures. Because you don't have to intend to kill someone to actually do it, especially if you're using deadly weapons. Because there are bad things that can happen with weapons other than killing someone - such as brain damage, scarring, paralysis. Because no one is going to feel a sense of accomplishment over defeating a child in combat, and so will consider it a waste of their time to try.

Take your pick. Like I said before, it's up to Harnel whether to allow children in his tournament, and it's up to individual PCs in the tournament whether they will actually enter combat with child PCs.

So, I've been playing a lot of XCOM lately (a strategy game where you fight aliens) and I had a thought that I night to a runthrough with a squad named after Nexus characters. Then I thought I might write some war stories about that squad and post them in the stories thread.

So what I'm asking is whether you folks would be okay with that, and whether there were any characters you wanted to see in particular.

That is , as I said, what he already did. And as said I got no reaction from Harnel.

And isn't he searching people for his school? I assume that this includes young people as well.

Edit: Also I have no problem making him a bit older.
