    Default Advice appreciated!

Okay, so this is my basic idea for a setting:

    Spoiler
    Show
A long time ago, a group of Lunar aliens (S. name: Mortis Lune) invaded the planet. They are vaguely plantish, covered in moss, and have bio-psionic powers: They can replicate and change DNA with their minds over a long period of time.
To fight them, humanity started turning to whatever they could use, first they tried science, then the occult, then both, but neither lasted. Eventually, the human population, dwindled down and nigh-extinct, ran to hide in secluded places, to recover and to make new weapons.
The newcomers started bringing down materials from their home planet, starting to terraform and claim Earth for themselves, and starting to hunt down humans lest they re-emerge.
Humanity has turned to small enclaves of protections, as shown on this map:
    Spoiler
    Show

Key: Stars are human enclave, squares are colonies of Lunes Mortis.

Humanity now lives in these enclaves or as roving bands of bandits and travellers, while the threat of Lunes M. is imminent, they believe themselves safe.
Before humanity fell completely, three subspecies of humanity were made in an attempt at super-soldiers for either side.
    Spoiler: Sub-species
    Show

Homo Sapiens Choleris: This off shoot of Homo Sapiens suffer from a magical displacement of the Cholerical humour, and as such are in constant craving of it, as well as suffering from increased agression and hatred of others, though this is quelled after having been fed by their masters or willing givers.
Many people find them displeasing to look at due to this imbalance, feeling as if something is just "off" about them. Indeed, many people feel repulsed at the sight of Sapiens Choleris, and many folk tales have sprung up from them.
Homo Sapiens Melancholic: Sapiens Melancholic suffer from an excessive amount of the Melancholic humour in their system, and thus are very strong and hard working. Sapiens Melancholic were created by the enemy, and are usually distrusted in a community. However, most Melancholic people are hard workers due to the large amount of black bile pumped into their systems by M. Lunes, and are extremely loyal to a fault. This has led to many happily enslaved Melancholics, and they tend to get very attached to their friends.
Melancholics spend a lot of time puking black bile from their mouths, and tend to bleed it from their cuts and orifices rather than blood. Some of them actually pump it out, but pumps are expensive and it takes time that they do not have.
Homo Sapiens Phlegmatica Sapiens Phlegmatica suffer from an imbalance of the Phlegmatic humour, and as such are highly intelligent and sociopathic. While they have more wisdom and intellect then those around them, and are innate scientists, researchers, and magicians. However, they can be quite lonely. Many phlegmatics commit suicide.

The sciences of the world are what many once considered proto sciences or pseudoscience, like alchemy or humorism. These are mixed with modern science and magic, resulting in many strange combinations.
    Spoiler: Magitechnology

I've gotten as far as Computational Necromancy, where the blood of the dead is created into hard drives and they enter a TRON like area or project themselves physically into the worlds as ghosts, and Alchemical Engineering, which is essentially the use of Alchemical principals used for the creation of furthering science, and Biocracy (because Mancy is overrated ) a mixture of humorism, vivisection, and biotechnology. This will be a big one, I think.

TL;DR, aliens invaded and now humans use proto-sciences, magic, etc. as a way to fight back.

    What do you guys think?

I never buy into alien invasion stories because of the massive distances involved with space travel. Being able to circumvent this obstacle requires ridiculous power and nothing that humans can do can really compete with it. Any real alien invasion could probably destroy humanity before we even realized it was happening.

The only option is to give humans a huge and sudden power boost. Something needed to unlock magic just in the nick of time to allow the humans to survive to create those proto-human races.

They came from THE MOOOOOOONNNN!!!!!! So it's one of the shortest distances in the galaxy. (Lunes Mortis means Moon Death)
However, you make a point with the humans. Maybe they stole tech from the Moon people?

I have a few questions on the Plant people from the moon.

    1) How affected by cold are they?

    2) How affected by Salt Water are they?

Reason being, in more then a few of the TW games I've been in, I've made a fraction of crazy ass mad scientists who altered themselves to live under the Antarctic waters/ice and use psionic abilities and bio-technology to extreme levels.

Besides, flying sharks. Whales that fire spike cannons that use a similar system to a squids propulsion. Birds that have feathers closer to diamond filaments, beaks that can go through tanks.

Did I mention that they should be thrown into an asylum because they have no morals/ethics/only know what restraint is because someone told them to look it up in a dictionary?

To fight crazy aliens, get crazier then them.
Power restored for christmass. I'm back!

They are very little effected by cold weather, and they are poisoned by salt water (being plants, and all.).
