furious Batman: Brave and the Bold

    This show. WATCH IT.

I heard it was pretty decent, a fun campy romp.

But then I watched a bunch of episodes. ITS AWESOME! Its the type of show you can watch with your younger sibling whilst screaming AMERICA! DEMOCRACY! BATMAN!

Its not just another "Kiddy fighting show". It embraces it, and uses rocket boosts to fly to the moon! Then turn the moon into a skating park!

Its completely ridiculous! Not like modern batman at all, but its AWESOME!

The show is made with love! So much love for Batman and superheroes in general. If there was more love in this show half the show would have to be censored!

Its made by fans, for fans. Its GREAT! Its stupendous! I had the ball of my life watching it!

Until you see Uncle Same protect a spaceship with the power of AMERICA and FREEDOM!

And until you hear "Batman doesn't each NACHOS!" your not a person in my eyes!

What it sets out to do, it does with the mastery of a monk living in a monestary for 100 years!

I love this show! It had a good run. WATCH IT!

It's what the old TV show would have been if they had the effects and budget to do so, but awesomer.
As much as I like Batman: The Animated series, and I do, I think it is a great series that holds up well to this day as animation that isn't stuck in the kiddie corner while still maintaining true maturity, Batman: BatB is just so much pure fun and joy after so much angst and drama it is a true delight.

    Exactly.

And the way it showcases all the different heroes is brilliant.

I wouldn't mind a Blue Beetle series based off Blue Beetle as seen in that show.
Aquaman would be a bit much without Batman's relative calm to balance things out.

Wait, if you like the show, why did you put angry faces (these and ) all over this thread? Usually those are meant to represent something that frustrates you and causes anger.

It just made me SO ENERGETIC! I just couldn't contain my energy with any other smiley!

And I don't like the show. I LOVE the show.

Who'd of guessed Aquaman was a fan of his own show?
    Not really surprising though.

My favorite character is probably Bat-mite.

The time when he wound the intro forward was SO gratifying.

I started to watch it recently after someone told me that if I wanted to get into superhero comics, I should start with the animated series.

Couldn't get into Batman: TAS. Bored me, really. The Brave and the Bold? Fantastic fun. You know what you are getting into from the first episode.

I love this series. It always gets me when people thing Batman should be EDGYGRITTY ONE HUNDRED PERCENT ALL THE TIME and hate this show, a show that opened season three by basing some of it's keyframes off actual comic book covers.

This show was made by people who KNOW Batman and Comics in general, probably know batman better than anyone else out there right now. Every time I see an episode I'm catching another homage or reference.

I don't know the Batman mythos as well as many, but I thought it awesome when
    Spoiler

I still say my favorite team up was when they did the trinity and opened it with all three of them taking on there respective arch villains, and Wonderwoman, fighting the cheetah of course, cause, who else?, has the theme to the old Linda Carter live action wonderwoman TV series playing in the background for the fight! That was wonderful.

Though, gotta say, the short number of eps were we saw other Bat family members were rather good as well.

Really? Any other smiley? Because this looks a lot better. By the look of this thread, giving it a implies you're furious with how it turned out.

I've only seen one episode of this. In it we learn that Bruce hates Christmas because he didn't get a toy from his parents once, and now his parents are dead. This put me off the series.

No, it most certainly is not. It does take certain characters, including Batman in rather unusual directions. But it is still a great show if you are willing to accept its campy quirkiness.

That synopsis cuts out all of the pathos. The point is that Batman has ridiculously huge survivor's guilt because the only reason his parents took him to that movie theater was because he threw a spoiled child's temper tantrum over not getting the toy he wanted. And this all happened on Christmas Day. No wonder he's so messed up.

That's almost as messed up as your father pretending to be Santa, climbing down the chimney, getting stuck, dying in said chimney, and learning as a little kid there's no Santa and your dad is dead all in the same instance.

    Now I wanna watch gremlins.

Anyway, B:BAB great show, not, in my opinion, as good as BTAS but hilariously fun. It somehow managed to turn Aquaman into one of my favorite characters, and in a kid's show allowed the Joker to murder Batman repeatedly for a good 5 minutes straight.

.... that's morbid as ****. I think I'll focus more on the giving and less of the Santa when I become a dad.

About the Brave and the Bold, and Batman in general, a friend helped me realise something: Aquaman is more awesome the more facial hair he has.

I do enjoy the Brave and the Bold quite a bit, though. Good series, very fun.
