Erin, meanwhile, tries to sneak into her closet to get dressed without being seen.

Hey, she still has some modesty.

I'm pretty sure that they're out in the hall, so Erin should be able to get dressed unseen.

In any case, Lellienth shrugs, and smiles, stretching.

"Do you want to go do something, then?"

Grant and Bobbie both nod.

Sounds good to me.

"You have anything in mind, then?"

Erin is...almost dissapointed at that.

So she gets dressed in a comfortable shirt and shorts, then walks up behind Lellienth, waving at Grant and Bobbie with a smile.

I'm not picky as to what we can do.

Grant says as Bobbie waves to Erin.

Lellienth looks back to see who Bobbie is waving to, then grins, and twists around to hug Erin.

"Movie sound good, then? What about you, love? Any thoughts?

Erin grins, huggling Lellienth back tightly.
"A movie sounds wonderful, love."

Yeah.

Presumably, then, the four head off to the movie room!

Caledonia smiles at her half-sister, optimistic about this.

One Arlem is walking into the library, hoping it hasn't been turned into a tree or set on fire or anything recently. "Does it seem very quiet here to you, Dorothy? No, of course we never found out anything about the disease; I only carried things. If you want science, well, this is not the century for it."

A DRD is cleaning the library floor, and chirps at the entering Arlem.

Dani is probably in the kitchen, baking a cake.

"Hello there, little machine!"

Arlem draws a knife, I mean, a broom, and starts helping clean the room.

((I don't think it was ever that fast. ))

((It seemed like it sometimes. ))

The DRD chirps happily at the assistiance, and soon the floor is clean!
Well, aside from under the rubbish bin.


In the kitchen, Dani sets about making her truthful cake. With chocolate. And sprinkles.

((I admit that. Is everywhere slower recently, or just some places?))

Arlem lifts the dustbin, sweeps beneath it, and grabs a random book off the shelf to fall into an armchair with.

The DRD chirps again, seeming to inquire as to whether Arlem desires company.

The first book Arlem might find to grab is Chapman's Piloting & Seamanship, ∞ Edition[/i]. The second a book on black curse magic...

Both fine light reading, of course.

Arlem takes them both and starts leafing through them, eventually deciding on the curse book first. He knows enough about the ocean as it is, while curses, well, he's only ever seen one in action. Not something he likes to remember, honestly, but it was certainly effective...

dun dun dun!

The book seems to be of the blackest, most vile, life-draining sort of curses. Oh dear. And it seems as if it's been heavily read recently.

Similar to what he was, maybe. Oh, that might be a concern, if someone less virtuous than he had been reading it. Arlem scans the book, seeing if there is any pyschic or emotional trace of the reader on the book. Probably, it's nothing whatsoever to worry about, but it never hurts to practice.

"I'm sure there's no one..." Arlem remembers that he is in HALO, the most wretched hive of scum and villainy in the Nexus, and decides not to finish that sentence, even to Dorothy.

"Little robot, did you perchance see anyone else by this shelf?"

Ross can be found walking down the hall.

The robot chirrups; it did not.

Psychic traces say it may well have been Erin reading the book! Or that might be from the ectoplasm smudge where she'd gotten a papercut.

[Recaiden]

Arlem hands the book to Dorothy (it should just sort of vanish, like the middle part of the chain she's holding), and heads off down the hall. Erin is probably fine to know about curses; there's hardly a more level-headed person here. But it would be fun to ask her about, and there's always the potential for evildoing.

"Hello, Ross, love. Have you seen Erin? I suspect she's not plotting a murder." It occurs to Arlem to sense around to see if Erin is anywhere in the base and not hiding her mind. And a few moments later to shift into the Ross-apropriate shape.

She spins about happily for the few moments she spends waiting for an answer. It's been a long time since she's been something with a tail! Especially one that's not for swimming.

Erin can be found in the hot tub, currently relaxing!

Dani finishes baking her cake. AND EATS IT.

Ross's expression brightens noticeably when Arlem calls out to him.

Nope. I haven't seen her around.

[Recaiden]

Arlem delays her tracking down of Erin in order to attempt to give Ross a hug. "It's great to see you again! Are things with us still as they were standing before? The walls all intact? No one burned anything down? Anything discovered about that machinery you were working on?" The questions might be metaphorical, or literal, or both.

"I've found her! In the water-place, ummm a tub, right? That's what it's called? Haven't spoken much <this language that everyone in Nexus speaks> recently either. Want to come along?"

Arlem will then try to continue on towards where Erin is, hopefully with a Ross.

((MS-DOS is only 11 MB big. Wow, how things have changed.))
