Harenas is a settlement in the middle of the desert, in case her meaning wasn't clear.


Sam cheerfully grabs a bottle or two of scotch. We can start here.

Chris raises his hand at this point. "Firstly, don't know what Harenas is. Secondly, I'm just making sure here. It's only reasonable to be a bit cautious given the only circumstances you've shown yourself in. And lastly...you're right. He would know. I stopped thinking for a second, sorry."

Chris grins a mischievous grin. "I can work with that, yeah." Chris pops open a bottle of whiskey that somehow managed to sneak in the shuffle, and starts pouring himself a drink in a crystal shot glass.

She starts in the Infirmary, with a medicine cabinet that quickly gives way to her lockpicks. If nobody stops the thief from helping herself to some drugs and healing potions, she will seriously try to find the vampire. Of course, if Chris follows her, she's pretty much screwed.

Chris sort of 'hmph's at Ally's comment and lets her storm off. He questions the validity of her honesty, but decides that she had a point with Tobias being all knowing. So, he decides to leave her to her doing things, figuring that Tobias will address her if she does anything stupid.

Chris smiles at Carrie as she walks in. "Oh hey honey. Just passing time, getting drunk, trying to have awkward memories of what happened last night, that sort of thing. You?" He says with a sip of his drink.

Just three mature, responsible adults about to get completely smashed. Because there's no way that could ever end poorly. The older woman tempts fate with a sly grin as she hands Carrie one of the glasses of scotch.

Talked to Nai, mostly cool, slightly depressing... Gonna, y'know, get all drunk and stuff. What did happen last night?
She sips her drink, giggling at Sam.

Chris blinks a bit. "Wait. What is this."

"Oh, Nai. Yeah I talked to him. Interesting fellow." Another sip. "But yeah, possibly we'll mercilessly butcher some poetry sometime into this. At least I think. It'll just sort of happen I guess."

Who's Nai? She slams her drink and pours another one, chuckling at the sipping young'uns.

And Nai is this guy from some weird other universe where there's, like, us but stuff's different.

Like, there's me and he's my paladin except I'm life, not death, and I'm kind of really uptight and depressing and single. And Chris and Civvy are apparently, like, not really that great?

Chris downs his drink, more than likely in response to Sam just knocking her drink back. Hopefully this won't turn into a competition between the two. He pours himself another drink. "Huh. Yeah, sounds kind of not that great from what I can tell. He hasn't said all that much, but what he has said has indicated an oddly opposite universe."

Carrie finishes hers and pours another.

I think you were talking about poetry, dear. Sam imagines what she'd be like in a mirror universe. She'd be a cold, calculating villain who sacrifices friends and enemies alike on the altar of her own ego. She'd sit in the back and send her soldiers to die, ordering cowardly assassinations against targets that may not even be a real threat. She would watch as she tosses aside the ideals she once had, now only concerned with her power. Sam knows exactly what she'd be like in a mirror universe. She'd be her father and brother.
Now depressed, she takes another drink.

Carrie slaps Firefox and crams a sugar cookie in his craw puts a wing around her saddened girlfriend. Somethin' wrong, hon?
She scoots closer and gives her a concerned, tipsy look.

Don't worry about it. Sam tries to shake off her melancholy by deeply kissing her young lover.

Beans threatens to mutilate his own eyes with Tostitos and hot toffee-flavored drink if FF starts to be's a butt.

Carrie kisses back, stroking the older woman's hair and wing-hugging her.

Sam waits for Chris to react. Kyne is still walking around, with possibly less tragedy ahead.

Sioda sees Kyne and waves to her, wondering how her wife's alternate self/pseudosister/altclone/gloomy phase is doing today.

Kyne nods her head to the Aspect. And then, an awkward few seconds later, remembers to be polite. How are you?

She fiddles with her ring, smiling gently.

She smiles. Fun with the in-laws!

I... haven't killed anyone recently. Kyne admits, looking at the floor and hating how that sounds like she's addicted to the hunt. It's just a fun thrill. She doesn't have to kill people to enjoy herself.

The assassin covers her mouth with a hand so the psion can't see her smile. Would you like to spar?

She smiles, a little nervous but hoping Kyne will be a good girl and not make her stop being alive.

Sioda should probably worry about what Kyne will do to her just to piss Angela off. Which would be completely different from making her stop being alive.
Hmm... Kyne thinks about the terms of their bout. Something more fun than just a duel in the training room. Something that will give the flexible psion an advantage. All over the base and anything goes? I'll let you use a weapon, but I'll fight unarmed.

The Huntress grins in anticipation, casually stretching to both warm up and tease her sister's fiancee with her lithe body. I'm kind of surprised at her doing that, but I guess Carrie has been really helping her confidence. Ready when you are.

Sioda blushes but clears her head by thinking about Angela's upholstery.

Stretching a bit, she manifests a blade and shield of psionic energy, beginning to hover an inch or two from the floor as she shifts into a ready stance.

Kyne was planning to dodge the sword and then counterattack, but that shield complicates it. She also notes that Sioda is using her powers to levitate and, presumably, give herself the leverage that she loses by not standing on the ground. It could be hard to trip or throw someone using telekinesis to stay upright, but maybe she could drain the Aspect's energy by attacking enough.
She suddenly darts forward, hands held ready to deflect the sword, and kicks at Sioda's thigh.
