@Xander: You are frozen in place (assuming Tarith did not warn you about the magical trap). You then see Anzaril conversing with Dantie and Tarith. You now have a better idea of what she is.

Anzaril is a rare fey known as a Glaistig. They are outcasts even among their kind because, like the more sinister vampires, Glaistigs feed of blood, preferably sentient creatures, which provide far more sustenance. It is known, however, that these creatures need to feed once every month to satiate their hunger. After that, they are usually quite amicable.

@Tarith: You feel her piercing eyes invade your mind. Then, you realize you have become her puppet. Anzaril coughs some blood and clutches her dress, as blood swims around her.

"You were a nasty piece of work, but now, you are mine. First order of business. Drop those accursed daggers."

Struggling against the effect, Tarith drops his valuable daggers, watching them sadly as the sink, and are lost.

Yeah, Xander performed the action, Thank you for taking control of me, but next time have him try to have him figure out what it is before he walks into it, I know Tarith's detect magic was forgotten, so for future reference, if spellcraft cant figure something out, Xander has detect magic on the sorcerer side. And in instances where he doesn't understand what is going on, he just sits back and observes, trying to puzzle out the most effective move...or going invisible cause he doesn't think a lot of people can see through it.

Xander stares in horror as communications between the people he traveled here with and the fey break down, resulting in violence.
Why did the woman choose to paralyze us, I would have liked to have spoken to her before this mess began.
It has been only violence since I met these people, What I would not give for my quarters at the university.

@The Party: Almost an hour goes by and you watch bubbles coming from a side of the islet. The glowing orbs fly away into the mist and you see a mer-creature pop its head out of the water. It takes a deep breath and then its features change, revealing to be Tarith.

"Damn it, I almost had her. Then she managed to gain control of my mind. She forced me to drop my daggers, and she took my ring. I intend on getting those back, as without them, I am more or less useless. I might still be able to find her, and defeat her before she heals herself. Xander, would you mind if I took one of your spells, so that I might retrieve my items?"

As Dantie sees Tarith go under water he tries to think of a way to help his friend, but can not find any way to help him and so waits. As Tarith resurfaces and repeats what he was told to say Danties anger is clearly seen. The bloody sea devil. No wounder Balion will not be her consort. I suggest we all fall back for now until tomorrow, after all Tarith you may be strong, but without your daggers, and some support you may have a hard time. I have already though of the spells needed to cancel this problem. If we retreat for at least two hours I could perhaps be able to help slightly. But I am not sure. If you are willing to try I am though. Dantie then looks to the group waiting for their answer, though he is mad at Tarith he is waiting for the right time, at this moment they must appear strong and united.

Ok so I am thinking that bedroll is coming in handy now. Water breathing is a 3rd level spell. Which I have four left of, lucky us. So turn turn 3 of them into water breathing, and the last into magic circle against chaos that should help greatly. Change magic weapon to divine favor, persist it so that it last for the next 24 hours, thus saving me more spells. Fun cheat way. Get rid of summon hound achorn for control water and Assay Spell Resistance for spell immunity for tarith, make him immune to mind effects.

Dantie thinks about what Tarith says, Go ahead and take them. It seems your way may be wiser. Once done though meet us back on the shore, we need to be somewhere away from the water. At least then we will have some form of protection. Dantie says then lets Tarith use his spells.
