The plush above fails both exclusion clauses, and the author had extra incentive to do it right. Still, wast majority of fan made plushes is inferior to official ones while costing much more.

Are all 3 images, undoubtely made by talented artists, look of the same quality and totally not slapped from 5 min sketch based on a few reference stills? Or would you call one of them better?

Those two questions are not mutually exclusive as you seemingly pose them. One can be better without saying anything about the others having anything wrong with them.

First off taking the small leap your small text dig was at the third, while obviously using some standard material has more polish on it then has been typical for say the standard vector art (King Zebra anypony?) and I rather like it on its own. Its nice but unremarkable, not worth paying extra but not bad art. The second was evidently an attempt at a more personal style. I say attempt because it failed, the proportions are out of whack to my eyes. Maybe the artist got lazy or simply was crunched by a deadline, but in any case they failed to make aesthetically pleasing art. I'd not be surprised if it took the same amount of time as the second cover.

Well, assuming it's not re-drawn piece or leftover paper sketch that was digitized and cleaned ending in Lauren's rough papers. Lauren didn't made standard vectors, they're literally copies of her pitch bible work. Go take a look in the OP, 'On the Design of the Mane Cast' link - that Posey (+wings) art is remarkably often used as FS, I have also seen AJ, TS and Rarity, sharp legs and all.

Nope. They used to (look at the case of lost G1 pony names...) but now, companies ferociously try to grab everything they can. I meet with this behaviour personally here, I'm sure Hasbro with their battalion of lawyers turns that to eleven (say, 'Cadance' and other names changed just to be ™able...). In general, unless your name alone guarantees sales (and we're talking Spielberg caliber here, not Lauren) you can forgot about retaining everything but tiny bits, especially if company puts a lot of money into your project.

Umm no, or rather only if Lauren Faust agreed to such an arrangement in the first place. That's the thing about copyright, you the artist have it automatically. Lauren could have (theoretically) have created the FiM on her own, it certainly wouldn't be called MLP among other things but something similar could be done. Obviously she doesn't have that kind of money though as we see with her Galaxy Girls stuff.

Somewhere along the line a contract (or contracts) was agreed that to got MLP:FiM both funded and created, with such and such agreed too. Now it would be possible Lauren owns nothing, if that's what she agreed to. Below a certain level various people on staff are just a employees of course, but anyone with their name in the credits has a more complicated relationship.

Heck credits reels themselves are an example of this relationship in action. They don't exist because the corporations feel you need to know who Tabitha St. Germain is.

Don't be so quick to assume corporations automatically own it all.

I haven't watched the intro song, but I did watch the clip from the show when Sethisto posted it on EQD and it is surprisingly catchy. I don't like that the non-chorus sections are more recitativo, which makes the remainder of the song less catchy than most pony songs (although on par with trying to do the entirety of "Find a Pet").

I only like the character model for the dog though (the one that really looks like someone turned Twilight Sparkle into a dog). Doubt it will be as popular as Pony is, I really think that ponies have a certain je ne sais quoi that can't be copied very easily, if at all.

I am of the firm belief that the universe is a hostile place dead-set on killing each and every last life form that so much as draws breath from its many worlds. I am currently in the 3rd year of ruling my little star-faring empire and I have seen a number of strange events:

1. The planet Alexandra I was a cold and arid world, but one which could serve as a staging ground for my enemies to use against me. I was racing against both GlaDOS and Eddie Izzard to colonize this little rock ball of a planet when a large meteor collided with (and vaporized) it on the turn before any of us arrived.
I am eternally grateful that I had delayed my arrival by one turn thanks to an accounting error.

2. I am continually harassed by a species called the “Tenth Race”, who have sent a fleet of one-dozen heavy fighter craft to blockade my borders with the only species I’m currently trading with, the Ryuujin. What baffles me is that NONE of these twelve ships have any weapons equipped, meaning my freighters simply sail right past them with no consequences. Yet, this species continues to threaten war with me despite having the combat capacity of a dry sponge.
They're not even an evil sponge!

3. I must sadly announce that the exploration ship, the UEV Cadence has fallen into a wormhole and is currently stranded hundreds of parsecs away in a sector owned by what I believe is a race of space-faring elves. The ship is attempting to make its way back home, but her crew reports that it will take the better part of a year to return to Unicorn space. The ship continues to explore anomalies along the way, spreading love and tolerance to all the new species that she meets.
At least, until my scientists finish researching Space Weapons because those species are now coming to exploit the resources within my border colonies. They should arrive at the first quarter of the morrow year.

That's actually a really good sign that she understood what you said. Repetition is how kids reinforce and internalize what they learn, so her teaching AJ not to curse is in fact her teaching herself not to curse by proxy.

I can't see them giving Silver Spoon an episode where she gets to be the good guy, though. She might come across as more hesitant than the other two at some points, but I don't see her doing a complete 180. Or at least not without multiple episodes of setup. The show may not have official continuity, but it does character-build over a season.

Also, my read of that synopsis is that Applebloom's cousin is more likely to be a solo affair. They wouldn't ask the cousin to join the CMC if she wasn't a blank flank, so it's unlikely she'd side with Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon.
