Fighter misses with both halberd attacks, but Paladin manages to drop a guard, and the two step back. One of archer's bolts hits its target but doesn't drop the guard. Bard's bolt misses, barely.
The guards break formation to rush in past Fighter and attack the team's back rank.

Another strike from Fighter staggers the guard, and Paladin finishes him off. Archer stabilizes Bard, then Paladin gets them back up with lay on hands.
Combat is over. You have a short rest; spend hit dice for healing if you want. Re-position your characters when you are ready for the next round.

Ferdinand and Aldric's attacks all miss, but Percival and Bodhi work together to take down the thug.

Aldric potentially uses Second Wind depending on the HD result: (1d10+1)[4]
