"I find it very unlikely that not a single man you know is lacking a date. I mean, I've been single my entire life and everyone knows how the Nexus is," John tilts his head knowingly, not realizing that he totally just threw himself out there

She wipes her eyes and grins. Are you volunteering?

[TechnoScrabble]

"I, uh, ebedduhhh, y'see, er..." John stammers helplessly fo a good few moments, his hands making wild movements to try and illustrate a nonexistant point until he gives up.

"If you don't know anyone your parents might like better than a reprogrammed cybernetic pilot musician, then sure, I'll come along. If you answer a question: If you don't have a name, what do your adoptive parents call you?"

My name is Lexia. You would come?

"Sure. Nobody deserves to be hitched up with someone they don't even know," John says, ignoring the obvious hypocrisy.

Thanks. I guess you would make a better husband than most random elves.

John 'blushes' and regrets that his holographic display is hooked to the same systems that can tell when he's actually blushing.

"Thanks. I think. So, how do we go about doing this? Do I need to get ahold of a pair of rings or...?"

She nods. Yup. Mom and Dad are probably going to be happy now that I have a mate.

The word bounces around in John's head, leaving a good bit of damage.

"Oh dear."

"Right. So," John grabs some of the leaves swirling around his feet and places them on the table. Picking his violin back up, he plays a short bout of Ode to Joy. The leaves on the table shudder and stick to each other, shrinking and wrapping around each other tightly, taking on metallic colors and shaping themselves into a pair of gleaming rings!

"Will those be good enough?"

Lexia smiles. Perfect.

She notices the 'oh dear' and frowns. Something wrong?

Since John never replied to mia she doesn't have anything to tell. She offered help to heal as far as possible, but it seems he isn't intressed. Mia will just shake her head as John offers to Marrie the drow girl. It'd not the fact that she is a drow, but Mia hought this isn't better than the arranged marrige. Mia will look back at MDM. She appears to be shocked as she notice the person in MDM's hand.

"MDM let her out."

And so he does leaving the head of the pink girl.

"I'm glad you like the, the-No, nothing's wrong. The word 'mate' just sort've, er...It's an odd word, right? Noun and a verb? And the noun assumes the noun acts out the verb with the noun to which the noun yeah I'm just going to shut up now," John holds one of the rings out to Lexia, "What finger do these go on in your culture, and how do we explain your parents never having heard of me until now?"

She blushes blue against her ebon skin. And, uh, we don't have to "mate."

"Alright, good," John sighs, and then immediately throws his hands up defensively, "Not that I wouldn't want to or anything it's just we just met and I'm mostly machinery at this point and I'm not sure I even work down there anymore and yeah I should just shut up again."

Well, my folks are wizards. They could get you back human.

"Are you suggesting I'm not human any more?" John's four eyed holographic face raises an eyebrow.

[Dark Elf Bard]

'Course not, silly. I meant, like, into a new, clean human form. Or elf. She winks and blushes.

Wonder why?

"A new..." John looks down at his body. For the first time in a long while, he wonders what it would be like if he didn't have all these cybernetics. He wouldn't be able to pilot as well, and he'd lose a lot of his minor functions...but being able to feel every part of himself, being flesh and blood...

"They could do that? For me?"

[Chas the mage]

A man enters, wearing a navy blue suit, made to be slim to fitted to the human that wears it. His tie clip matches his Rolex watch and cuff-links, made of polished platinum. He has a rather defined jaw, with a 5 o' clock shadow on his well built face. As he makes his way to a seat at the bar, he unbuttons his top button, loosening his tie.

In the alley way, next to the Tavern, there sits a van, dark, with relaxing music and the scent of incense. The door of the van opens, revealing a rather bum looking elf; he wears torn jeans and a grimy t-shirt with a peace sign upon it, He has a dark brown beard that is beginning to thicken upon his face, and it matches his messy, greasy, long hair as well. He dons a pair of moccasins as well as a black bath robe and a pair of sunglasses as he exits the van, revealing the interior with strange colours and patterns painted and postered upon the inside, as well as a small makeshift bed and some other living necessities. He slowly makes his way out of the alley, and enters the Tavern. He takes a seat next to the formally dressed man, they exchange a look.

"Hey man," he elf says, "heard you came to have a beer." The rich man nods in response, and removes his coat and rolls up his sleeves. As he does so, the elf orders them each a pint, and he rolls 2 cigarettes in silence. The pair light them off the same flame, and begin to sip their pints, slowly, with not a word between them.

Sure! They're both archmages, and if you're my fiance they'd be happy to.

John takes a deep breath to calm himself, and wonders what color his hair and eyes were-will be.

"That'd be wonderful."

[Dark Elf Bard]

Lexia gives him a happy smile! All right then! You're getting a flesh-and-blood body!

She plays with her new ring a little.

"When should we go? And how do we explain your parents not having heard of me yet?" John asks, slipping on his own ring.

Meanwhile, the door opens.

And in walks a Highly Visible Ninja!

Well, ninja//swashbuckler. With brunette hair, her face framed with a white shock of hair, a somewhat tight if modestly so black outfit over a curvaceous figure...

Those who knew Marle might recognise a similar face.

Lucy looks around, and waits for Gerri to enter behind/with her.

Gerri follows closely behind Lucy, and also looks around at the rather confusing atmosphere that is Trog's. There's more crazy nexus things in this room than Gerri usually sees in a week!

"This is... quite a place."

[The Bushranger]

"Just like the stories I've heard of it," Lucy declares with a grin, as she heads for a corner table.

Gerri will follow. "I've heard some stories, too. You hear people talk like it's the nexus of everything weird in the nexus."

She looks around a bit more. "I think I could believe them... just look at this place."

[The Bushranger]

"Yup!"
Lucy slips into a chair, as Paige hurries over to take their order. And she orders Trogtilla chips and a llamaade.

After a moment of confusion, Gerri will accept that. With a bit of luck that's just odd marketing... and it's not like Gerri is very hungry right now, so she's not concerned about having a full meal.

Lucy ponders, then adds a Velvet Elfish and a second Llamaade to the order.

"So you've never been here before?" she asks after Paige hurries off to fill the order with a grumbling Cosmo.
