From the discomfort of truth there is only one refuge and that is ignorance. I do not need to be comfortable, and I will not take refuge. I demand to *know*.
So I guess I have an internets? | And a trophy. | And a music cookie (whatever that is).

Re: Kneenibble's Knack for Knightly Knickers: a Knell for Random Banter #184
Well, I think of Minnesota as Swedish, but that's mostly because my last name is a randomly chosen Swedish word that one of my ancestors decided on because he was tired of getting mail intended for other people named John Johnson. (I'd tell you what word, but then nefarious forces could do nefarious things with that)
...And his name actually is Nils; I just mistyped it.Last edited by Dimonite; 2012-10-26 at 06:24 AM.

This discussion of Moon & Sheep gives new meaning to the song A Little Priest, in my mind.
That reminds me, I really need to learn how to make meat pies.

Re: Kneenibble's Knack for Knightly Knickers: a Knell for Random Banter #184
No it's not eating a cat, let alone Moonie. I have a terrible allergy to cats, it was merely a slightly snarky (waay too little to mandate the color blue) way to comment on the absolute cute and fuzzzyness of the 2 posts before mine And now I feel stupid for explaining the joke
could be, but allergies won't make it pretty, not by far...
(btw, I'm really sad at being allergic to cats since they can indeed be fantastic pets to, well, pet. fortunately anti allergy stuff exists so I can still touch them without choking or anything)Warlock Poetry?

Re: Kneenibble's Knack for Knightly Knickers: a Knell for Random Banter #184
When I was researching Swedish cuisine [which may or may not have had to do with my failed attempts to seduce H Birchgrove], I came across this thing Julmust. It sounds delicious and I quite wish to drink it.
The chances that I will ever get some, however, are disappointingly measly.
You have a talent for coming just in time to hear something you shouldn't. I admire that.
What is a stupid ass-flash game?
I don't think I'm pretty enough anymore. ;___;
I do not have the long golden hair, nor the cream-smooth skin that I used to
It snooowed today! A thin soft fleece lays over the shaded world.
It will not last more than a day or two; this is the way with Winter here. It makes a few first assaults that are wiped away, until at last it in November it gains its foothold and dumps, and dumps, and dumps, thickening its fortifications until the great revolution in April.Last edited by Kneenibble; 2012-10-26 at 10:44 AM.

Hey, being pretty has nothing to do with wearing drag.
Nice! I wish it would snow here. As it happens right now, I'm saddled with unusually warm weather for October. The only upside to that is it isn't cold as hell when I'm standing around outside scaring little kids.Avatar by FinnLassie

IKEA can help! And it's worth a trip to visit sometime when you go to a place that has one.
That's a great talent, I must admit.
Probably one with a bad artist, haha.
Pfft, that's what make-up is for. Many women have comfortably remained 35 for years, after all, to paraphrase and butcher an Oscar Wilde Play Quote.

Re: Kneenibble's Knack for Knightly Knickers: a Knell for Random Banter #184
*hugs the Elemental* And yet: if I'm dressed as a goofy-looking old queen, will my words not be altogether tinted with a grotesque comedy? And unable to be taken seriously? Probably no one else will be dressed for Hallowe'en, and I will only shock them.
Are you feeling better today?
Heh heh, by plenty of extant examples, that is true.
I cannot imagine a warm unsnowy Hallowe'en. It wouldn't feel right! How could it be eery if you cannot see your breath?
My city has an IKEA now, too! I'll have to check them for Julmust. It opens in a month. I'm not sure how I feel about it, since my tastes are more for grubby meretricious antiques than the clean simplicity of their wares. Perhaps if nothing else it will be a good place to meet men [except probably only couples will be shopping there for their fancy gay homes, grr].
I lack the subtle touch of those perennial painted ladies, alas, and would probably wind up looking like a grubby and meretricious antique myself.
That would be a very sweet gesture, and I would definitely send something Canadian in return. Hmm, maple syrup would be a bit trite [or would it?]... we don't really have anything culturally seasonal...
The shipping costs would be too much to consider, in all probabilityLast edited by Kneenibble; 2012-10-26 at 12:24 PM.

Re: Kneenibble's Knack for Knightly Knickers: a Knell for Random Banter #184
But don't we export the stuff everywhere? Like, would Kaskatoon, as a Swede, find any novelty in the taste -- or would it just sit quotidian in his pantry for thirty years?
I gave some of the *good* stuff to an obscenely wealthy man I met in India, and I always wondered if he appreciated the gift, or if he just thought "IMY SERVANTS CAN BUY THIS IN THE GROCERY STORE YOU CHEAP HOSER"
There is maple candy to be had, yes, of which I am quite fond. Now that you mention it it tends to surface around Christmas. Hmm.Last edited by Kneenibble; 2012-10-26 at 12:32 PM.
