"Me? Well, I'm one of GLoG's sucessful redemptions, one of their earliest too. I've been with GLoG for a few years, joined up during the worst winter that the nexus has ever seen."

Marley waves a hand at the cabins across the lake.

"Oh. Does it get colder than this?" She looks around a bit, at the snow everywhere. "I've never been so cold."

[McBish]

[Heading into the Woods]

Trecking into the woods they go then. Yuki takes a second looking up at the sky to get her bearings before picking the direction they head.

"It's this way. Thanks for coming."

She smiles at Sophie as she starts to walk. She is glad to have some company to head back to where she woke up for the first time. Walking through the woods by yourself is a bit creepy and Yuki didn't enjoy it much the first time she did it.

"It should only take a couple of hours to walk there."

She has gotten better at telling time and is guessing based on what she remembers of her first time out in the woods.

[Morty]

"Let's not waste any time, then," Sophie says. "It can't have been pleasant for you to walk through here the first time."

"I think there was some being of cold making it colder that year, but yes, it can get colder than this."

Marley switches which hand he holds his cane in, because he didn't bother to get gloves on when he came outside today.

"Oh," Jasmine says simply. It seems she doesn't have much to say. "I'm going to go back to the cabin now. It was nice to meet you, Marley."

[McBish]

[Into the Woods]

"I headed into the city the first time. I could see it's lights as it got darker out. It was colder that time, though I didn't notice it too much."

Yuki says with a shrug. She is a pretty tough and the shock she was going through helped numb the pain when she first made this walk.

"I sat around for awhile when I first woke up, not sure what to do. When it got dark and I saw the lights I figured someone there might be able to help me."

Luckly she meet Alysha who brought her to GLoG.

"Alright then. See you around then, Jasmine.'

Marley nods and starts walking back to his cabin.

[Morty]

[Into the Woods]

"And you were right. Now let's hope we'll manage to find something where you woke up," Sophie says as she keeps walking.

[McBish]

[Into the Woods]

As they make their way through the woods it is very quite out. The thick layer of white snow seems to dampen any sounds coming from around them. Yuki falls quiet as they make their way, eventually she finds what looks like an old trail that somone walked a few weeks ago in the snow.

"It's not far now."

She starts to follow her old tracks back to where she first awoke. Even the birds of the forest seem to have quieted as they go. The only sound coming from around them is the wind blowing through the trees, sometimes causing the snow in the trees to fall down to the ground. The first time this happens Yuki jumps a bit, after that she tries to hide any reaction to it.

The silence unnerves Sophie, but she doesn't show it. She merely looks around warily as she walks along with Yuki.

[McBish]

[In the Woods]

Sophie may write it off as nerves but she may also have the sense of being watched as they keep walking. She might see a flicker of movement every now and then, but it would be easy to assume it is a squirell or something.

They reach the spot where Yuki woke up and Sophie should be able to spot it immeditly, even if she has no experiance tracking in the woods. They are near the top of a large hill and can almost see the city from here, a tall building just barely in view.

There is a large section of the snow that has been distrubed and there seems to be a collection of broken sticks and twigs. It looks like she had fallen and started to roll down the hill. If Sophie pays any attention to the trees above them she might notice there seems to be broken branches up in the trees above them as well. Almost like something had fallen through them.

[Morty]

Sophie definetly does not dismiss the feeling of being watched and keeps looking around as she walks.
"Looks like this is the place. You can still see where you fell out of the sky," she says once they arrive.

[McBish]

[In the Woods]

"Yes, this is where I remember waking up. I don't remember falling."

While she may not remember falling, the sensation of falling is something her body remembers and likes to remind her of. She sometimes feels it when she is up in the sky flying, and right now on the ground her stomach tosses and turns like she is in free fall. She holds her stomach looking a bit upset.

Meanwhile Sophie should confirm her suspicions that there is something following and watching them. A glimpse here and there will slowly start to let her get an idea of what it is. Bipedal Humanoid, shorter then most adult males, and either furry or wearing furs.

"Shhhh. There's someone following us," Sophie says, leaning closer to Yuki.

[McBish]

[In the Woods]

Yuki looks a bit alarmed and tries to look around for whatever is following them. Her body tenses up and her wings perk up a bit, fluttering in the wind.

"Do you think they are dangerous?"

Even though she looks alarmed she can't help but sound a bit excited. If someone is following them they might know something about her.

The figure seems to be keeping it's distance for now. Moving quietly through the thick underbrush in the woods, it is most likely what is keeping the birds quiet.

Reelshka's ears twitch.
'It sounds innocent enough, but I'd have to speak with those people myself."

[Main Room]


Andy nods.

"After all there isn't any kind of contract now. So I assume we would still need to talk with them. I just wanted to see if the council would at least hear them out."

[Morty]

[Main Room]

Reelshka nods.
"We need to make sure that they wouldn't be dangerous to the people here, especially the children," she says. "We'll listen to their offer and decide. I'll mention it to any other Council members I meet."

"They might be," Sophie says, reaching under her jacket for her handgun. "Let's wait to see what they do."

[Reinholdt]

By the time METIS finishes destroying all the nanites, quite a bit of its programming is devoured. The projected words disappear.

[Med Lab]

"...dang it, so help me if you don't stop that I'm going to lock down the whole base in a Dimension Lock," Quinn blusters in frustration at Reinholdt's dissapearance.

Of course, whether she actually could is a good question. But he probably doesn't know that.


"...final results?" she queries METIS.

[Med Lab]

No, Reinholdt doesn't know that.
Mostly because he can't even hear her right now.

[McBish]

"They might be," Sophie says, reaching under her jacket for her handgun. "Let's wait to see what they do."

Yuki nods but is fairly obviously looking out into the woods for whatever or whoever is following them. She doesn't have any weapons and hopes that Sophie will be able to handle whatever is going on.

The figure is frozen hiding behind a downed log covered in brush and snow. With both woman looking around it doesn't risk moving right now.

METIS is incapable of communicating anything to anyone right now, at least in this room.

There is a bit more rusltling from where the figure is hiding, and then slowly it's head comes up from behind the brush. It looks almost human, but covered with a short fur covering his face. With a slightly snoutish nose and defined canine's it is pretty easy to spot the werewolf blood in him, though obviously not full blooded. He seems to be wearing some sort of fur poncho or coat, but it is hard to tell as he is still mostly hiding.

He doesn't look very large or threating, but that might just be because he is hiding. He looks over the pair of woman silently his eyes fall on Sophie's hand going into her jacket for her gun and then looks up at her eyes, a look of either worry or disaproval on his face.

Yuki moves to stand behind Sophie peaking around her to see the creature that has been following them. "He doesn't look dangerous." She whispers to Sophie.

Sophie nods slowly. In her experience, things that are dangerous often don't appear to be.
"Why were you following us?" she asks the wolf-man.

[McBish]

[In the Woods]

The wolf-man ducks his head just a bit when she speaks again. He bites his lips slightly and takes a few seconds before anwsering. "Watching you. I was curious." He speaks slowly taking time between each word. His voice is quite and a bit rough from not being used all that often. He sounds like a younger man though, maybe even a teenager. "I wasn't hunting."

[Morty]

[In the Woods]

"That's alright. We didn't mean to intrude on your hunting grounds," Sophie says. "Have you seen the woman next to me before?" If the wolf-man lives in this area, maybe he knows something about Yuki's fall from the sky.

[OrchestraHc]

[Refugee Cabin] which should really pick a wood.

Justin is ambling to the cabin, carefree, carrying several paper bags with Thanksmas decorations on them. Seems he's taken to the Thanksmas spirit, adopting a fur trim Santa hat for his delivery. He knocks on the door.

[Earl of Purple]

Balsa Cabin Is that good enough?

The door is opened, predictably enough, by Daisy. "Ah, hello Sir. Everyone's in today, Sir. Would you like to come in? Nice hat, Sir, it looks very nice on you. Lichen is hibernating for now, though, Sir, so please don't disturb him." Daisy is wearing a thick woollen jumper and thick joggers that don't really match. He'll stand aside to let Daisy in.

[McBish]

The wolf man sticks his head out a bit farther and sniffs at them. "Yes she has bee here before. I saw her leave."

"Did you see how I got here?"

Yuki steps forward excited causing the wolf man to shrink back.

"No, I watched you as you left."
