Two weps to a scrap
Three scrap to a rec
Three rec to a ref
Three ref and one rec for a key.

So that's 8 refined, which is 24 reclaimed, which is 72 scrap, which is 148 weapons.

First, Halloween Happened. Keys were used in great quantity by people trying to get the new unusuals that were only available that week.

Then Steam Market Place happened. Everyone is buying keys to sell on the market place for $2 a piece and using those funds to buy what they want.

IMHO. At least I know I'm not banking keys any more. Instead I have an overflowing Steam Wallet. That might change when people can sell unusuals there. Maybe.

A long time ago, I exchanged all my metal for keys at 2.33 per key and when I started TF2, you could get a key for 2 ref. I wonder if the price will ever drop again.

That is more of a long term investment. Those hats are all over the place, as they have been around forever. Until stocks diminish due to a massive influx of new players or the like, I doubt the prices will rise significantly. I can see it going up to 2 refined each in a month or two, but not much higher after that for awhile.

There is 60.000-100.000 of each of them in public inventories alone. They aren't liked, outside of maybe Soldier's Stash and Fancy Fedora, that's why they're craft grade hats.

Price won't rise [much] IMHO unless there is concentrated price gouging from traders.
