Font size
In the past, I used to be able to put size tags around words (usually in PbP games to indicate a PC speaking in a whisper) but it doesnt seem to be working any more. Is this one of the changes that happened in the upgrade?
The problem here is between the keyboard and the chair.

Nope. Nothing changed, and it wasn't an upgrade.
