Default [Star Wars SAGA] Pimp my mandalorian

So we'll be starting a new Star Wars campaign soon set in the old republic and i've decided to play a female dual wielding mandalorian. Lvl 5, 32 pt buy. I currently have the build all the way to lvl 12 and was wondering about my feat/talent/prc choices and where to go after that.

    The build
    Spoiler
    Show

Female Nagai (yes I know they dont appear till ABY, but I have backstory for that)
    Scout 1/Soldier 6/Gunslinger 5

    STR 12 (+1 at 4,12)
    DEX 18 (+1 at 4,8,12)
    CON 13 (+1 at 8)
    INT 14
    WIS 12
    CHA 10

    Skills:
Endurance, Initiative, Mechanics, Perception, Pilot, Stealth, Survival

    Talents:
    1 Evasion
    2 Armored Defence
    4 Improved Armored Defence
    6 Weapon Specialisation (pistols)
    8 Multi Attack (pistols)
    10 Mobile Attack (pistols)
    12 Trigger Work

    Feats:
1 Weapon Prof (simple, pistol, rifle)
    1 Shake It Off
    1 Point Blank Shot
    2 Armor Prof (light)
    3 Precise Shot
    3 Quick Draw
    5 Rapid Shot
    6 Weapon Focus (pistols)
    7 Dual Weapon Mastery 1
    9 Dual Weapon Mastery 2
    12 Desperate Gambit

So does the build seem solid for a dual weapon wielder/ I know I actually get Dual Weapon Mastery quite late, but before that i'll just fluff Rapid Shot as a blast from both pistols.

I plan on taking Gunslinger all the way, what are some good Talents feats to take with it? What about a PrC for the last 3 lvls or should I stick with Scout or Soldier?

What about equipment. I currently plan on dual wielding Blastech D12's from the Clone Wars guide and equiping them with a pulse charger each to add +5 dmg when using Rapid Shot. I also want to upgrade them with a bonus from the Superior Tech feat (either from a fellow PC or pay an NPC), but whats better, another +5 dmg or +2 atk?
Any other Mods I should look at?

Obviously I'll need armor as a Mandalorian, but which one is best and what upgrades are best for it?

And finally, my Will defence suffers, which puts me at serious risk against force users. Any way to sure it up?

    Thanks for any help Playground.

Most of your choices seem good; if you're worried about your Will Defence early on, switch out the Scout dip for a Scoundrel dip, and pick up Labyrinthine Mind (Scum & Villainy). Evasion's great in a military campaign where you're gonna be facing a lot of autofire attacks, high will defence (or Labyrinthine Mind) is better in a less combat-oriented social game, or where you'll be seeing a lot of enemy Force users.

I definitely expect more combat situations than role play. Most role play encounters are set up by the players as the GM prefers to let us deal with things as we see fit. Whether that is by going in guns a blazin' or talking people down till we get our own way really depends on the mood.

We didn't see many force users during our last game but we started at lvl 1 and reached 5. However we ended up stranded on an uninhabited planet with no ship, so those characters are out and new ones are in. I expect a few more Jedi/Sith encounters this game, but I also expect plenty of autofire, thus Evasion is needed.

Also look at the feat, Unstoppable Force. It's been ages since I've played but I took it for my Mandalorian. It shows training against the Force and grants a +5 to Fort and Will Defenses against Force powers. Pretty solid, no matter your level.

See about attaching your blasters to your wrist bracers with a connector, or maybe building some into the bracers themselves. If your best offensive ability uses your pistols, the best way a Force user can stop that is either deflecting the shots, or, in this case, taking the pistols away from you.

well my current plan is to put a wrist rocket launcher and flamethrower on my wrists to be more like my Bounty Hunter from ToR. no idea how I'll get proficient with them without wasting feats though.

    Can I just point out:
Pimp my female mandalorian has some very awkward connotations

I second the above Unstoppable Force.
+5 shuld be enough of a bolster to make your Will not suck

Unstoppable Force is indeed great, but this build is already super-tight on feats. All I can really think of make space is somehow switching out Shake it Off for PBS shot (coincidentally again by switching scout>scoundrel) and using the slot you were using on PBS on Unstoppable Force? And then picking up Evasion somehow somewhere else? I dunno. I think you might have to accept that not every character can be good at everything; you've got a solid two-pistol fighter build, I think you're probably better off boosting your Will Defense in other ways, like:

    - Cutting your Int to 12 will force you to cut training in probably Pilot or Mechanics, but you can boost your Wisdom with that.

    - Equipment: If Knighthunter Armor (Legacy Era CG) is off the table due to fluff/era/availability, then there's a Neural Band in the KOTOR CG that boots your Will Defense a bit at the cost of some damage threshold.

Although you're already feat-starved, I suggest Elite Soldier for the Fortitude buff and proficiency in all Exotic Weapons (with a talent).

For armor, I recommend either light beskar'gam (for extra mod space) or stormtrooper armor (or equivalent, for protection). Knighthunter armor is Medium, so you're not proficient in it, but is better than either of the other options.

If this is KotOR and your character is Neo-Crusader, then that armor should be/have been available to you, and is more-or-less Stormtrooper armor.

You could try actually pimping out a female madalorian. Nit sure how well that would go though

Unstopable force does look like a good idea though. A very solid way of ignoring those pesky force users. And wil my high Ref they would barely be able to touch me.

Losing Scout loses the awsomeness that is Evasion though and make a point of always finding a way to AOE damage. Cutting my INT is probably a better idea. I could easily lose Mechanics and leave that to someone else.

Yeah, Knighthunter is probably out due to availability, but I had already considered the neural band. +2 to a defence for -2 on one aspect of another defence seems like a good trade.

Elite Soldier was a route I was looking at, but it seems to lend itself better to Heavy Weapons and the Burst Fire feat. I originally considered that as a way to go, I guess I still could if I drop 2 skills and take Soldier first level.

I've currently equipped a normal Mandalorian Combat suit, it has a lower Fort but will grant a higher Ref at 8 when my Dex goes up. I also can't understand why the Neo Crusader armor weighs 42kg. My max unencumbered weight is only 42.25

...And now I'm imagining a wacky comedy flick about someone trying to play matchmaker for their Mandalorian buddy, but constantly running into the problem that she just can't take any guy seriously who can't throw fisticuffs with a gundark.

Clearly the solution is to get her with Revan then.

Elite Trooper isn't just for heavy weapons. Check the KotOR book (p. 38) for the Mandalorian Warrior talent tree. Mandalorian Ferocity adds +1 die to damage when you're attacking multiple times in a round, Mandalorian Glory makes it easier to kill another guy after you've shot down one, Armored Mandalorian boosts your Elite Trooper DR and potentially gives it lightsaber immunity, and Mandalorian Advance gives you an extra chance to set up your position. Some of the other books add more stuff for Elite Troopers.

It's probably because the NC armor has an integrated jetpack... the Combat Suit does as well, but the Core jetpack is 30 kg.

Canonically, Revan is in fact a guy. He also spends the better part of his single life on less than friendly terms with the Mandalorians. If the OP still wants to go for it then I won't object, but well... good luck with that.

Cononically Revan gets with Bastila and they have a son who is not force sensitive and becomes a politician. He then goes off to try and destroy the sith emperor.

Correct. Of course, the campaign you're in might be set before that part (you haven't specified), in which case the main obstacle is the whole "being a Mandalorian" thing.

In truth, im not sure what time of the old republic it is set, just that it is around that era. Personally i'd prefer to playing during the time of Revan and Maleks rise as dark lords so that Mandalorians are mostly wandering mercenaries who dislike the republic, so wont side with them, but also hate Revan for defeating them so won't side with the Sith.

It would lead to an interesting character concept where she will take any job from if the price is high enough, but actually considers everyone, including her employer and companions, as an enemy she has to grudginly work with. Plenty of roleplay oppertunities.

Actually the Mandalorians were pretty civil about their defeat, especially considering Revan is about 1 step away from becoming Mandalore (basically King/Emperor/Most badass Dude).

The Mandalorians wanted a fight, and they got one.

Revan is well-respected by the Mandalorians, the Council not so much.

They are a little upset that they got defeated, of course, but Canderous practically has a crush on Revan, particularly in KotOR II, where any time he's reminiscing about the Mandalorian War, he mentions how much of a badass Revan was. (Even in KotOR 1, when you recover your identity, he doesn't care what side you pick... he's gonna follow the most badass guy around, and you're Revan.)

That was the impression I got from the games, but the book Revan actually paints quite a different story. It shows that most Mandos took their defeat pretty hard and blamed Revan for it and while they acknowledged his prowess in battle they still hated him.
