"We, the servants of the Goddess who once worshipped Nocticula," Lildorrinene says bowing in respect and honor, "greatly accept this boon and your willingness to overlook the past to look towards the future."

    Coquika
Coquika remains still and quiet: stately enough, but aloof. While she had a great patience and tolerance for the diplomatic arts, she had very little interest in them.

"We are most happy to be blessed in this house. Ever shall you be blessed in ours." Melinda receives the scroll and touches it to her forehead. Only her solemnity prevents her from hugging the old man straight out in her ecstasy, and only barely. "May the fires of this temple ever burn bright and warm."

    **

The sun sets red in the sky as the First Fellowship of the Triune descends the steps of the temple, its celebratory fires rising to the open skies above Aklantia.

"Gather round, sisters," requests the diminutive bardess. "I have a confession to make to you all." She waits a second for their formation to contract. "Again I am happy to thank you, for your dedication and zeal. We've done it, we really have. And over our time together I've grown so used to seeing your faces - I've grown so happy to see you all, day after day."

"As much success as we've enjoyed from traveling this world together in the service of the Unification, I must confess - I think our time together is nearly over. The people who want to see us dead have clearly caught on to how we work together so closely. Our Fellowship cannot keep operating like this. I think we have to go our separate ways."

"I know that some of you - maybe even more than just one of you - were probably just waiting for me to say that. To whatever extent that each of you have agreed with me or not - throughout this whole endeavor I have worked for everyone's spiritual growth, including my own. Those who are here, those who are gone - I hoped to help all of us find new ways of finding and expressing our devotion. That is what matters, I think, now and in the future. Through our endeavor, our blood and sweat and sacrifice, Cassiopeia's prophecy has been fulfilled. That which was written by her hand has come to pass, and no longer binds us. Its every word has been given life; its every strand has been woven into the tapestry of Fate. And we have yet a church to build together."

"This is the juncture where zeal yields to devotion," allegorizes Melinda, "where the brightness of the fire of faith yields to its warmth. And devotion can only ever come from our own heart. Grow that warmth. Share it. Defend it. Love well, and long. And please come visit me, for I will miss you most sorely." Even Melinda's silver tongue is beginning to quiver. "I have asked that our Goddess show each of us our next steps, and send us where we are most needed. May Our Lady ever be with you and guide you. May She help you find and build the future that you hoped to see for us."

Tears well in the First Priestess's eyes as the immensity of the task before her dawns. "This world is wide and open, and we each all must build our time," she says, closing her eyes, relishing the touch, the gentle swaying of the circle from arm to arm across the bosom. She smiles, for she is not alone.

And when at last it is time to let go, she speaks words of power filled with hope.

"Go forth, sisters. Go forth, and blossom."

Lildorrinene will probably be one of the greatest of the Sisters to gain new followers with her uber-Leadership. Meanwhile Lok-too-loo-baz, with his powers of prophecy, will be instrumental and uncovering plots against the Unification by sensing them and passing that information along to Lildorrinene (who would in turn pass that along to Melinda and the nearest ship in the quadrant).

Drisae will be brought in line by Lildorrinene. Sometimes problems won't even get to Melinda. Lildorrinene, if she feels discretion is truly needed and a 'problem' can't be solved through more pleasant means, will send Drisae out to troubleshoot the problem.

One of the first things Melinda will find when she returns to the Shrine is that the construction has been completed. Totally. There are quite a few priestesses there already, they tell her that the construction seemed to just grow out of the ground. The workers added stuff, but it seemed like every morning, more had been done overnight.

The second thing she will find is a letter from Terry Benedict. As Melinda remembers, Terry owned three casinos in Kroy, each of them occupying one corner of a two street block. The fourth corner, Melinda remembers, had a casino also owned by Terry that was nearing completion. Well, its completed now. Its been named..."The Trinity". Also enclosed in the letter is the documentation of ownership. The documentation indicates its owned by Melinda, in trust for the new divinity.

    Coquika
    Coquika smiles pleasantly.
"Of course, First Priestess. I shall return to the City of Gardens but-" she purses her lips, "I do not think I can simply bide in my pavilion any more. In the heart of Tishtina's sacred country, I think there may be... an adjustment period as we prepare to welcome... ah, new members of our family? It may be that a succubus will one day walk into my pavilion openly, or that the chatter of dice will sound above the tumbling waters of my home."
    A pause.
"I have very nearly come to grips with that, but I think others will be slower to learn. "
    Another pause.
Coquika claps her hands with a ringing of stone.
"But! You must visit some time. I shall try to keep some food and wine of some kind on hand." She waves a hand, vaguely.
If there's nothing out there, then what was that noise?

    Dot

"Indeed. There will be a celebration, at last."

    --

In the weeks after the last of the prophesies is fulfilled, Dot is frantically busy, helping to create business plans for the new shrine, spreading word about these new holy places, hiring staff, setting up magical defenses, and shagging Harlan senseless.

Harlan is having a little trouble adjusting to becoming a priest of the Three, but is getting used to it. He and Dot establish a more permanent protective barrier and temple around Cassiopeia's final house, and it's not too difficult to become the high priest of a temple when you built the thing.

Secretly, Dot's more than a little relieved to get back to the relatively workaday world of setting up new enterprises, designing and creating new buildings, and overseeing a team of bound servants. All this dilly-dallying with gods is very well for those who are touched by destiny, but she was far too practical for such things.

    Furude Setsuna

"So it ends," murmurs Setsuna, twirling a finger through her hair. She bows to Melinda with a cheerful smile. "Thank you, Melinda-sama. The Trinity is complete."

She stretches and grins, her wings raising to the sky behind her. "Alright then! I'll be sure to drop by and see you all every so often!"

    -----------------------

And with this, Furude Setsuna takes off, to travel the world and spread the teachings of the Trinity. Of course, she does come back to visit everyone occasionally, bringing back a small trinket or two from the lands she's visited. And throughout this time, she finally manages to grow just a bit taller.

    Taleira Ulharvyth

"Ah, you all make it sound like things'll be boring from here on. Sure, there's plenty to do, but don't forget to live a little in there."

    --- ---------------------- ---

For her part, Taleira sticks around long enough to make sure that the new church is strong, and she's inclined to try building up something to call her own beside that. A kingdom or an empire sounds like it might be nice. In time (a rather long time, given her feelings about this endeavor and its leader), though, new places and new things will call her away for "just one last adventure" and eventually let someone else take on her official role, whatever that may be. In truth, assuming she doesn't achieve godhood or die permanently in the meantime, she'll let herself fade into legend once her direct mortal connections to the church are gone so she can take on a new identity and a new life to live. The other immortals can always find her if her aid is ever needed.
